  1. best of luck with the rest of your dissertation shazy bby <3

  2. I find it funny how hard publishers want people to buy day one, yet put in place products like 'complete editions' and deep discount sales that go against it. I really do wonder how badly fullprice day one sales have been damage by the culture of "it's ok it'll be on sale in a few months at like half the price with some of the dlc". Not that I encourage buying day one... It's just... it seems like something the publishers want, yet actively put in place stuff to do the opposite. I guess sales are sales... and figuring out what people want is hard enough... Has RockPaperShotgun's interview with Peter Molyneux been posted here? It's damning and incredibly nasty, but at the same time I feel little sympathy for Molyneux after years of false promises - from Godus all the way back to Fable and Black & White. It's a shame, since Godus is actually a fun game... it's just never gonna get completed. He's placed alotta blame on kickstarter, despite the fact most of his issues come from the lies he posted on there and not with the system itself....
  3. I think all the ones I like are the obvious ones ><. Even in DC I'd prolly just name Watchmen, Fables and The Sandman series. Violent Cases is one of Neil Gaiman's early works and looks interesting, although I've never had the chance to read it myself =(. Persepolis is good!
  4. Oreshika 2 & Toukiden: Kiwami confirmed for Q2 releases ^^. Hoping Oreshika 2 manages at least a small physical release since digital only games eat up my memory cards too quick. Sindel best make it in ;A;. Hair whips will decide whether I buy this game sooner or later. The combat as a whole in this game seems a lot more fluid so I guess I should be happy with that. Not sure about the new story element with the factions though... Dose 3vs3 battles *_____*
  5. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas. Dat Catherine art style was kept. The platforming actually looks fun. The characters look interesting too!
  6. Monty Oum passed away.... Rest in peace man. You were an inspiration and an incredibly talented guy who worked so hard.
  7. It's da new ringojinyo mang.

  8. IS THIS THE REAL YOU? omggggggggggg

  9. Hullo! Dunno if it helps, or if new admins changed it, but in regards to staff seeing PMs, they can only see the specific message reported (entire chats not seen - unless all messages reported individually). In general it tends to be messy way to check since is easy to make one side appear favorable. Admins can see all PMs via accessing accounts, but is large invasion of privacy so pretty much never done (at least i never saw it). Dunno if that helps! And things may have changed since...

So let's say certain messages in a group PM were deleted. But the whole convo was still there. Could they still access them?

The entire convo? no. That message? Once deleted I don't think so.

If you reported each individual message that followed they could see those messages, but since they couldn't see (what am guessing is the important message) it prolly wouldn't be of any use. They can only see what you want them to see in regards to PMs - provided you're still able to see it too.

In general the function is only ever of use for tracking down spambots that are messaging users with deal...

  10. Jack is back http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=983000 Not surprising given it's Platinum's biggest/only success story. Hoping for more Monsoons and less Minstrels as far as boss fights go. Hope the soundtrack is solid again too. Original was 8/10 best fruit ninja rip off yet.
  11. Truth be told Majora's Mask will be my first Zelda xD. And partly because I won't have access to a Wii U after this summer and partly because of the sheer length. They've confirmed this new one is like 5x bigger than Xenoblades and I struggle with the size of the first one. I canny deal with all these long ass rpgs because I just can't find the time for all of them. Guilty Gear Xrd will be imported. Drakengard 3 was imported. Persona 5 I guess will be the same ><.
  12. Pretty much the reason you stated there. It's an old game being made next-gen exclusive... and it doesn't look particularly great for a HD port. The announcement also came alongside the 'battle it out via twitter for free bonuses! - in association with Amazon!' thing, which is doing little to help Square's image. There seems to be alotta people excited for 2015 gaming but I feel pretty indifferent. My most hyped releases are re-releases (Grim Fandango and Xenoblades for 3ds) and Persona 5... which I'm wondering whether will actually hit EU regions in 2015.
  13. http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Nintendo-Zelda-Majoras-Mask/dp/B00SFMM0BW/ quickly quickly ^^
  14. i find it funny how much flack this guy got when tbh he's wearing more clothes and looks better design wise than Vaan ever did. You go Square! Get dat Sengoku Basara market!! Went out of stock incredibly quickly everywhere unfortunately =(. Ended up getting the Monster hunter limited edition one instead. Laughing at how poorly NoA look to be doing in comparison to NoE in pleasing its market.t.First the Xenoblade/Pandora'sTower/TheLastStory controversy and now EU regions getting the regular edition + a Mario themed stand whist America ends up with only the XL (and still no limited edition Majora's Mask game last I checked). I think the shadiest part was when NoE threw the charger in as a gift at checkout. I diiiiiiiied NoE, I diiiiied.
  15. Hullo thread! Happy 2015!  Since I haven't been here in a while thought I would update on my most recent reads: 'Lolita' & 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?'.    Overall both were pretty great reads. 'Lolita' was nice because it was interesting reading about a narrator doing despicable things yet writing them in a way so as to make others look like the problem instead. For some reason I didn't expect the end to be what it was.    'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?' was a fun discussion of intelligence - both human and artificial. Not sure why but I never realized how heavily this book shaped Blade Runner.    Lots of long train journeys recently and have been using them to work my way through Murakami's 'Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage'. Nice so far, although there's something about Murakami's more recent books that just don't sit well with me. Maybe it's because I worked out all his protagonists are the same =/.
  16. lol wow Ryu didn't even make the top 10? Kinda surprising. My faves didn't poll either xD. As for Marie Rose, it's nice to see a new character shaking thing up popularity wise. Hope she does well with her Tekken 7 debut!
  17. I will add Suikoden 1 to my list as well then, and since it's shorter will prolly do it first. But I should focus on clearing my current backlog before adding to it ><. As much as I want to be greedy and hoard more and more. FF6 was a game I was absoloutely in love with, but I committed the sin of sticking to one save, and am now trapped about a quarter of the way in. I hate myself for thinking I could one shot an RPG ;A;. I'll probably restart over Christmas and not make the same mistake. What do you think of Valkyria Chronicles and Digital Devil Saga pt 1? I die far too much in both. Although reaching the end of DDS definitely felt worthwhile! I hatechu I would have bought it if this was three years ago and was on PS Vita like it should have been =). Now I'll pick it up when Square inevitably ships too many copies and it fills up bargain bins everywhere like the FF13 trilogy did. As for the collector's edition... meh. I bought Amano's art collection book and that's worth it far more than this.
  18. XSEED kinda has trouble since their parent company creates the Senran Kagura games so it's cheaper for them to get the rights to games like that. Aside from that, they have Akiba's Trip, which am happy to report is far more comical than it is pervy. It's actually surprisingly good, with lots of references to other games, mangas and japanese culture as a whole. Tbh I don't mind the fanservice so much after they started pushing for the equality level and adding manservice to their games xD. As for Suikoden II, I want it so bad. Will by my first Suikoden game, and am super hyped to see how 108 characters all manage to matter. But the sheer length of my RPG backlog right now is so large. I'm like mid playthroughs of so many - SMT: Nocturne, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy VI, Pokemon Sapphire, Divnity: Original Sin, Valkyria Chronicles, Shadowrun: Dragonfall.... And a few others T_T. This guy has an odd sense of humour.... Then again compared to Itagaki or Kamiya maybe not so much. Still, dankya sed! It's nice to know they're not actually in much trouble.
  19. Thought this might interest some of you. If Disagaea 5 doesn't sell 150k copies, there's a chance Nippon Ichi will be having to close shop NIS closing makes it seem questionable as to whether its subsidiary NISA would still be able to function (possibly by being given to someone else). That's bad because it'd impede on a lot of Japanese games like Dangan Ronpa, Dragon's Crown, Natural Doctrine, Etrian Odyssey & Persona Q making it over our way ><. I think XSEED would be left as the only one providing this kinda service. Also, Suikoden 2 is finally on the NA PSN!!!! ^^.
  20. I think DK: TF as a whole could do with more love. I've yet to play but all the people I've seen playing make it look like one hell of a strong platformer. And the OST is definitely up there as one of the best for the year, alongside Transistor and Drakengard 3. Tbh, this year has been great for gaming music. Even if I don't really care for FFXIII-3, it still had a solid soundtrack. This is from the guy's picks of his fave tunes so I think he just uses the pick he wants for it.
  21. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXQmXEpTWAg Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam
  22. I feel shallow for saying it but I don't want a remake because I don't want them to try and add voices to the FF7 cast again. Something tells me it'd grate on me having to listen to Cloud...... think...... again...... like..... this.... Plus the FFX remake ended up with them changing up some tunes which didn't need it. Am happy if Squeenix keeps their past in the past. It's not like they don't have two huge ass games they could be working on instead... I was kinda surprised it got nothing after all that. Was expecting it to get somewhere in the action game category but oh well. Kamiya has stated he doesn't care so I doubt many peeps at Platinum do. Tbh I'd say Transistor was the truly robbed game. As good as Destiny's OST is it has nothing on Transistor's.
  23. Pretty much. I actually remember a lot of the NPCs in the story for SR2 even a few years later, but when I was reading a wiki article on Saints Row 3 I had to click the link to go to the character page of Angel to remind me who he was. It helped that a lot of the characters were more OTT than the world they were in, whereas now they kinda have to compete. It prolly doesn't help I'm not really phased by Gat. THQ's downfall was kinda weird to watch. Especially when we ended up seeing Saints Row: IV in a humble bundle not all that long after its release. You could tell this was a company desperately hunting for cash. It's nice to see all the Japanese devs beginning to recognize the value in the PC market. In addition to Street Fighter, King of Fighters and Blazblue have both made their ways on to steam, and a selection of surprises, from Final Fantasy 13 to MGSV: GZ, to Valkyria Chronicles and further beyond that. I imagine this move comes after Tecmo Koei saw a decent level of sales for DW8: XL for PC. Hopefully this helps to boost the fighting games community even more! ^^
  24. I loved Saints Row 2 & 3, but I do take issue with SR:IV. It's not that the complete OTT nature of it with references to various forms of 80s and 90s pop culture thrown in that I dislike... I love that. It really did make Saints Row feel like it's own game. My problem was with the games pacing in 4. The superpowers, whilst fun, jarred with so many other things. I mean, what's the point of having cars if you can superspeed faster across the map? Why use a gun when you can just freeze enemies with your ice blasts or throw them away with telekinesis? And that could be ok, but then there's so many missions that demand you not use your super powers, and it just grinds the game to a halt. Judging from Gat's arm the powers are back, and I just hope they work them in better this time.
  25. Well NISA handled the former and Sega EU handled the latter. I guess I should just be glad Atlus will give it to others to sort and hope Persona 5 gets the same treatment.
