  1. Not big on the change to KoF's style (mostly cause XIII looked amazing) but I can understand why. As long as K' is confirmed back am sure I'll pick it up not long after launch. Happy Gravity Rush/Daze is making the jump over to PS4 and hopefully getting a larger audience. Don't feel like I'm missing out on much as a vita owner since the first game felt clunky and other than amazing OST didn't interest me much. Super happy for Danganronpa too. Ni-Oh still existing has been the biggest shocker of TGS so far. Glad it's still around and hopefully it turns out good. Tecmo Koei seems to be on a roll atm, I just really hope they pick up some IPs I'm actually interested in for their spinoffs soon (AoT and Arslen do nothing for me) ><. Ace Attorney 6 looks great but the lack of Gumshoe damages it for me. Super hyped for the anime though.
  2. Wizzu overall would you say this series (or these two games of the series specifically) is a worthwhile one getting into? How long did they take to beat? The man you point out at the reason to play is actually the reason I was originally interested in picking the Xillia games up.
  3. Ended up playing Sengoku Basara alongside Persona 3 Portable. Sengoku Basara is probably one of the most wonderful surprises I've gotten in a long time. I was expecting/ all I wanted was a Dynasty Warriors clone, but the game instead offers a relatively deep hack n slash combat system alongside some incredibly well thought-out animations for those symbolism points and most shocking of all - competently done romance. I mean sure the game character assassinates half of feudal Japan but still maaaaan, Capcom really hit it out the ballpark with this one. And ofc it's the one franchise the west will never see again. Persona 3 Portable is a game I can't decide if I like or not. If the cast of Persona 4 is taken to be the Scooby Doo & the gang of the series then I can only assume Persona 3's cast came from Winnie the Pooh - specifically Eeyore. Why does this cast seem to only exist to brood? Yukari was kicked from my party as soon as it became possible cause lord knows I didn't need anyone other than myself to undermine the rest of the cast. Not big on escorting FF13's Hope in his toddler training either so he got the boot. Junpei's ok. At least he makes jokes. The dog and the android are nice and amusingly have more personality than most of the cast. Akihiko, Mitsuru and Shinjiro currently make up my party since they're the only three that seem to actually like each other, not just the MC. The game is stylish enough and the characters for the most part work well enough on their own.... just not as a group. Yeah, Ally/Betray was really fun. It added an extra layer of tension when you knew these teammates could kill you off just from a vote. Luna was amazing and her ending was my favorite by far. Haha, it is kinda Saw-esque and I can see why people wouldn't really like the characters. Only thing I will say is that its end plot-twist and relation to the final puzzle and one of the best I can think of across all of gaming. Really one of those mind-blown moments. Hope you enjoy the arcade stick! Touken Ranbu or bust pls.
  4. The MC and Seraphina look good. Not too big on some of Seraphina's writing just from the trailer but her design is still fun! The art is beautiful as expected. Very!! Was super happy when Aksys finally confirmed it was happening. I wasn't as invested in the second and I was the first, but I'm really interested in seeing the story concluded.
  5. Noooooo T_T. I love being able to RPG on the go. The pause function is great. Ugh I guess this increases the odds of me picking up a PS4 at a later point. Still hoping they'll have a complete edition even if only for PS4. Wow, you guys still have Ike and Rosalina up for sale? You should pick up to sell cause they're going for alotta money!
  6. I'm waiting/hoping for Disagea 5: Ultimate Edition with all the DLC for Vita. I still haven't finished 4 but I've been surprised by how enjoyable I've found it. Fenrich is a cayootie. My Vita is going to be the death of me with Persona 3 Portable, Final Fantasy X & Disgaea 4 all being rotated in and out over the summer. Nintendo of America uploaded a survey for fans asking for them to write down their thoughts on their E3 conference, as well as Amiibo stock and brands you're interested in (please list Advance Wars if you guys do fill it out - DON'T LET THAT SERIES DIES). It's a long one but it seems like they're interested in rectifying their mistakes. Although some of the questions are rather odd. I have no clue how many times you should update your pinterest account Nintendo.....
  7. Famitsu reporting on Japan's best selling games so far this year Grats to Splatoon. Yowch at Disgaea 5's sales. Hopefully western fans will help it out cause good lord is that way off the target the devs were going for. Aside from that nice to see this list remind me Kenka Bancho is a thing and is still not being localized. Gamescon has been relatively meh. None of the big names giving me the tingly feelings they should be. Although good on Microsoft for reminding me Quantum Break, Crackdown and Scalebound are still things. Wish Tecmo Koei had found themselves a better IP than Attack on Titan to pick up =/.
  8. It looks surprisingly slow combat wise for an Itagaki game ><. I guess that's the price he's had to pay to get gunplay worked in. It looks like it'll fill a similar spot to Suda51 games or Shadow Warrior, which tend to be niche enough. It's pretty much guaranteed to flop quite bad in Japan given that its an Amazon-exclusive there. Did you see Itagaki's studio announced they'll be moving to mobile games after this game? It's a shame since Itagaki tends to be pretty innovative when it comes to controls.
  9. My favorite 2ne1 song is the shortest one. BEG's disbanding rumors seem to be popping up quite a bit what with that chinese rumors thread and then the news article today/yesterday. Makes sense they'd pop up now given close to end of contracts. They've denied it but it seems more of a 'we want to be the first to tell you' kinda thing.
  10. Lol there was never really any chance of KH3 and FFXV being released the same year, given the studios working on both those games overlap to a large extent. Even now supposedly most of those supposed to be working on KH3 are on FFXV. I doubt we'll get KH3 till 2017 at earliest. Squeenix would need a miracle for it to hit in 2016, although I guess if they overwork Nomura they could make it. The Ni No Kuni devs are interesting to watch. Their new game for the PS4 could be interesting, and they may finally announce the localisation of Yokai Watch. Dark Souls III here. I imagine they've set up a system where Miyazaki no longer works on the mainline Dark Souls games and instead gets to focus on its spin-offs, allowing for quicker turnarounds. I loved Tearaway, but then again I think I may just have bad taste since I seem to love what everyone else dislikes. It's like spending six hours in a kid's book. Everything is really heart-warming. Although I have no clue how they're going to successfully move all the touchscreen features over to PS4.
  11. Frederick is best waifu Don't turn Perma-death off! ><. Half the challenge is gone without it. Bravely Default's general consensus is it has an amazing first half of a game followed by a mediocre second. Any replay value tends to be damaged by the second half of the game. FE:A tends to get flack for being pandering and a bit simplistic as far as SRPGs go, but that makes it a great entry point for the genre. FE:A is the longer game with a lot of additional content, but it gets repetitive. Shin Megami Tensei IV & the Devil Survivor series are also options RPG wise, but aren't really welcoming to newcomers in my opinion. Etrian Odyssey is another option but I don't know enough about the series to comment. Dark Souls 3 was leaked so am guessing that was their major announcement, although hopefully there's more. Gravity Rush/Gravity Daze is another possibility giving its HD version was leaked via SK's rating boards. Ninty could still be worth a watch, if only because I'm holding out hope on a Metroid or Animal Crossing popping up. My main interest is in finding out what Platinum Game's other title is that IGN is teasing.
  12. I don't really take too much issue with the Konami CEO calling mobile gaming the future. It's pretty much the only thing keeping Mistwalker afloat, and the likes of Sega, Squeenix and whatever Itagaki's new studio is called are looking to cling onto it more and more in the future. In Konami's case though it's not like that's their real focus anyways, just a blanket statement whilst they hedge and wait to see if Japan changes its gambling laws. Most of their eggs are in the gym and gambling baskets by the looks of it.
  13. BEG's vocals blend together too well sometimes imo. I still have no clue who's doing what in Midsummer Night's Dream.
  14. I rank Kill Bill close to How Come. They'd be much lower down my BEG recommendations than most of their other title and album tracks. Both just seem... outclassed. With that said I like Black Box as an album more than Sound-G.
  15. Definitely worth playing. It's a long game but it's probably the best Scooby-Doo & the gang solve a murder mystery RPG I've played. Characters and plot are really interesting, along with the music. Battle system is far from the best but it's tolerable. The main highlight is the social aspect and getting to know the cast. If the game looks too 'happy' it may be worth looking into Persona 3 instead. Both 3&4 have alotta critical acclaim, it's just 4 tends to get more attention. Not necessary to play Persona 4 before 5. Plots will likely have references to one another and maybe have a character pop-up for the sake of fan service, but it'll all be trivial stuff. Each Persona game is self-contained. Hope that helps!
  16. US PSN flashsale up. Samurai Warriors 4 is tempting but I should prolly save money Had to reformat my PS3 and lost all my saves T____T. Means starting SMT Nocturne all over again OTL. Will marathon it once exams are done I think.
  17. Nah, I agree. I didn't think about the fact that if they both pop up in the next year then the wait before the net game is gonna be so long ><. Unless they do a Fallout 3 to Fallout NewVegas move again? They were closer together, I think? And wow two 100 hour+ games to play in one year.... I can see why they'd be best further apart lol.
  18. Given that this year they picked a conference over just a teaser for Sony/MS to use, I'd hope they were going to show multiple things. Even the best games get boring for an E3 show after ten or so minutes, since people want new info and lots of it. I guess Doom 4, Elder Scrolls Online DLC and Wolfenstein could be there, but we already know they exist and I'd hope for more than just one surprise. I was hoping Samurai Warrior's Okuni was gonna be playable but oh well ><. Ugh I'm still annoyed at what they did to Prompto's face. He looked alot less greasy in the initial reveals. Gladiolus is now single-handedly carrying the team in regards to real man candy T_T. I still like Balthier best over all FFs doe
  19. As in to next year, not as in the whole year, sorry
  20. There are a few challengers listed on neoseeker that seem interesting. Friday the 13th seems most fun . I think the year lost some of its main appeal thanks to Uncharted and Zelda both being pushed a year back. It seems like an ok year to me - I have a lot to play. Not outstanding, but with rising dev costs and more studios shrinking/disbanding I'm not really expecting another 2007/2011. If you like Fallout and games like that then hopefully E3 will help make the year look fun, since Bethseda will finally have their own conference.
  21. The Yoshi amiibos look great. Lucas back in SSB is great. FE: If looks great. Attack on Titan and new Ace Attorney look great. SMT x FE shocked and moved me I love it and want it.
  22. Whenever I think of Talim I think 'Sexy Toadette' I see alotta SC influence on this game as a whole tbh. Claudio reminds me of Maxi with Viola thrown in. I think Christie was spotted in one of the trailers for Tekken 7? I forget which though. Josie looks like several of her moves overlap with Bruce so it looks like he's the next name to be ruled out. Tekken did the whole cutting characters out last time they rebooted when they moved from 2 to 3. Amusingly 3 was the last Tekken game I skipped for that very reason (they killed off the one character childhood me cared for ¬¬) I'd guess it helps to shape the story better and remove that bloated feeling, but I'm with you in that I like lots of characters in fighting games.
  23. Just saw the newest additions to Tekken 7 with Jin returning and the Josie character and am pretty shocked at how far the franchise has fallen off in regards to character design. Josie is a mess of ideas with no consistent tone, having a generic Asuka-esque intro, with overly confident taunts and then having her cry in shock at winning... I don't understand what she's meant to be. Jin's redesign suffers from what most designers suffer from when adding and changing characters - overly complicating/cluttering something for no decent reason. Aside from that the game looks like it'll play amazingly well, so here's to hoping a few more of my faves get a confirmed return.
  24. NOBODY CAN'T SAY NO
