  1. Also, Minami be like: And I be like: Girl be the personification of uwuness in this world, only Myoui Mina can compete with her!
  2. They really do feel like they're the core of the team, indeed. But yeah, the more I watch Nogi Kojichuu, the more I'm surprised about how well they're able to introduce new girls. Like Miona Hori or Hoshino Minami, even Asuka or Kazumin... even if they're not the at Manatsu's level of variety skills, Bananaman and the staff as a whole are able to show their strongest points and push them further whenever they see the opportunity to. They just need the same feeling of desperation to push forward as Minami had when she started to climb up the ranks.
  3. Welp, the proccess is kinda like this: 1 - have lots of fun and get to know each member one by one. 2 - start to get familiar with their names. 3 - get attached to member. 4 - starts kinda stanning that member (together with another 10-20 girls) 5 - finds out that member you liked so much already graduated. 6 - grieves and tries to move on. 7 - repeat step 3 to 7. Considering the age of Gen I compared to Gen 3/4, it wouldn't be surprising if more Gen I members graduate within the next year, as it happened in 2019. It was already shocking enough to find out about Ikoma Rina, Sakurai Reika or even Nishino Nanase, can't imagine how much it'd affect Nogizaka46 as a whole if one of the "main/center" members graduated.
  4. Now now, wanted to know from you guys: How do you deal with graduation? N46 is like Wonder Girls... but after some members left, they replaced her with Twice members, and after some more left, they replaced with ITZY members. All in a single group. It's quite sad to see some girls I just started to like, like Ikoma Rina, already graduated, while I have no idea what to expect from newer generations.
  5. IKR. I mean, it's quite confusing for me to see how they're so conservative look-wise, but during NogiDoko/Nogizaka Under Construction will talk about things like same-sex attraction/boobs/pervert stuff in a very casual manner. Compared to kpop or even my own culture, it's totally the opposite, so it's hard to get used to it. Not sure if manga is imitating real life or vice-versa, but I finally understand the connection between RL and manga after watching some shows. Some of their personas are really like a manga character!
  6. <looking around for N46 pics, when I find some Baka Couple more recent pics> <also me reacting to>
  7. Btw, Watching Nogizaka Under Construction ep. 4 now (before that I was just going for random vids I found on youtube/dailymotion) and damn, I knew Senbatsu was ruthless, but nowhere near as ruthless as it was shown. Seeing how Miona Hori was devastated after not getting selected was just so sad... must be quite tough for people who stan several members, especially since with 40+ active members, it's not surprising for you to like over 12.
  8. This is so messed up... Won't lie I started delving into jpop in a way to get away from all the bad vibes I was getting in kpop, but I guess when it comes to industry, it's all the same. I really hope she and her father are doing well, sometimes it's just better to stay away from people like him. It may hurt at first, but in the end, the damage will be nowhere near as staying with a guy like that and suffering so much more.
  9. Feeling like an AKB trainee being thrown into Produce 48. LOL But yeah, it's just that strange feeling at the beginning, soon enough I'll probably get used to it, especially since I was already into some japanese artists like SCANDAL since Orkut times. I really appreciate how they have their own show and it's been going on for YEARS now. Just imagine having that as a kpop fan!
  10. RIP, I only saw a couple videos with Inoue Sayuri, but she seemed quite fun! I was quite surprised, because compared to kpop, it's quite hard to find info about them; so far this thread has been the best for me when it comes to data in an organized way. Reddit is just... confusing. Now, I just wanted to stir some conversation here, but watching so many videos, I got me thinking... Is it just me or Japan's idols look a little bit... outdated? Their hairstyle, for example, sometimes it's just gorgeous beyond comprehension: But most of the time you'll see the average same-as-always japanese style: Even their clothes are so conservative whenever you see them on variety shows: And you'd think they're SO much conservative compared to kpop, but then photobooks happen and boom: Which is quite shocking compared to Korea. Reminds me a lot of how people would talk about how much Kara's Jiyoung changed after she became an actress in Japan and imo, indeed, you could see a difference in her style as a whole.
  11. IKR The major issue for me right now is stanning someone who may have already graduated, like Captain/Ikoma. From what I've seen, Sayuri girl seems to be worried about graduating for a while now and I wouldn't be surprised if that happened soon, considering her popularity dropped a lot + other new members have been added.
  12. Plus, just wanted to say: RENKA IS ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE! And she's getting even prettier by the day: Is it just me, though, or she started ressembling MOMOLAND's Ahin?
  13. Already getting them episodes! Thanks for the tip! About oshimen, yeah... how do you guys even have one? The reason why I got into Nogizaka46 was because of this video: Which led me to this: And before I knew it, I was hooked into the show. At first I thought Asuka would be my favorite because girl is just so adorable, but the more you get to know other members, the more interesting they get! So far tho, won't lie I'm very interested in Shiraishi Mai, Itsuka Erika and Matsumura Sayuri. Even though I already looked into Sayuri's scandal, honestly, it doesn't bother me that much: apart from the whole married mess, them dating is what happens behind the scenes and the pure/innocent/virgin image is just tiring imo. As long as they're happy and being treated well by their partners, it's all good. I feel bad for Sayuri, though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXRN94uZyRk Girl is SO CHEESY. SO GREASY. SO CRINGEY. Yet you can't help but get addicted by her persona. If wasn't for her scandal, I'm pretty sure she'd still be just as popular as Shiraishi.
  14. New fanboy here. So yeah, I found out about Nogizaka46 a few days ago and have been trying to watch as many things about them as possible. For now, I'm sticking to Nogizaka Under Construction because damn, BananaMan are awesome! Right now, through the masterlist I found all soft-subs for episodes, but where exactly do I get raws from?
  15. Seeing the rest of the members showing up (feels bad for the missing ones) made me feel better about this. Even though they struggled so much these past years, they aren't alone. They never were, and they shall never be!
  16. It's been a rough path. Both for the girls and for us fans. I'm not sure how things will go for Hyemi since she renewed her contract not too long ago, but I guess Star Empire will probably just let her go. As a major Hyemi stan, I've been keeping track of them since 2013, when I discovered Nine Muses via All the K-Pop. I've seen the shy angry "ugly duckling" Hyemi become a confident, strong and beautiful goddess. Back when I was one of the VERY few Hyemi stans, she'd be like this: But then BOOM, she came back out of nowhere like this: I'm just proud of her. Proud of all members, they struggled for so many years yet they tried their best to smile and give us strength. I'm proud of Keumjo and Sojin for trying so hard to fit in a group that had been through a lot for half a decade. I'm proud of Sera, Eunji and Sem for trying something new and still pursuing their dreams even without 9M. I'm proud of Euaerin, Hyuna and Minha for not giving up until the end and for all they've contributed for so long. I'm proud of Kyungri for all she's done for 9M. She became one of the 9M most active members and through her many people were able to find and enjoy the group, me included. But most of all, I'm proud of Hyemi. She's the only member from the original formation and she was a rough, opaque diamond back when I first saw her. But she never gave up and every come back she'd show a stronger, even more dedicated than before, side of hers. She went from a shy, grumpy little kid to this bright and strong woman we have today. It has been an incredibly exhausting journey, full of thorns. But because of these beautiful flowers, we were able to enjoy the whole thing. Every second of it. Just thank you for all the hard work. Thank you for the laughs and thank you for being there for the hard times as well. Thank you for being so strong and thank you for being who you girls are. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for these incredible years with you girls! Even though time may pass and we find other groups or other things to do, Nine Muses shall always have a special place in my heart full of fond memories.
  17. Just passing by to say I still check this thread and my love for Im Soeun hasn't faded away at all even after all these years. I'm proud of her and I'm proud of you guys for keeping this AT alive. <3
  18. Girl can't control herself, she's clearly too happy to be promoting.
  19. How do I change you from the group unloved? Cuz you're clearly not that.

  20. I regret not being here for the time when she was struggling on The Unit, though at least I can be here for the final judgement. Are you guys keeping track of the show via KBS World or what? Because I watched all KBS' episodes and they're soooooooooooo behind.
  21. This thread is alive once again. I missed you all.
  22. Most of my observations were actually comparations because they really remind me of some manga characters. I was shocked to see how much they looked like coming out of a comic book. About Xukun, I'm half and half and I'm confused as heck as to what I should think of him. But one thing is certain, no matter if he's an angel or a devil: he spiced things up.
  23. Ayo, passing by after watching all the episodes released so far.... And what the heck? Am I watching an idol show or a manga? Nongnong, the cute rookie who doesn't excell at anything, but everybody loves his personality. Xukun, the f*ckboy that makes most girls' hearts melts and most' guys blood boil. Bu Fan, the hardworker who has the mojo, but doesn't know how to use it. Justin and Jeffrey, those guys who have the talent but their ego doesn't let them grow more and more. Xiao Gui, the antihero out of the norms guy who's persona is quite a mystery. Honestly, the only person I truly disliked so far is Xukun. Part of me acknowledges how much of an impact he has, but also experience and charisma. He's truly admirable. Part of me also believes he is quite fake, shallow and a cold calculating guy. There are some other trainees that I found to be quite disappointing, like Dong Yaniel, Justin or Liang Hui. And there are some I still have hopes they'll get back up like Zheng Hao, but they need to get their sh*t together. Ep. 3 was just heartbreaking, I couldn't even believe myself for crying when Ruibin started walking up the stairs. Honestly, I'm enjoying Idol Producer to the core and I just hope they all can grow from this experience.
