  1. “We can confirm that BTS (방탄소년단) 'Dynamite' Official MV set a new all-time 24hr record, surpassing 100M views with 101.1m views in the first 24 hours,” a YouTube spokesperson tells Forbes via a statement. https://www.forbes.com/sites/tamarherman/2020/08/23/btss-dynamite-makes-youtube-history-with-over-100-million-views-in-24-hours/ The new music video from BTS counted 101.1 million views within 24 hours of its release, YouTube confirms to Billboard, making it the music video with the biggest first-day debut to date. https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/k-town/9438762/bts-dynamite-youtube-record
  2. this is very balanced and good representation of what angered the ARMY. i also encourage you to read the comments because, damn! the discussions are so good. Here is one comment I really really find good:
  3. where can i watch it? Also... TinyTan is real threat to BTS LOL... they just debuted and they are already image models!
  4. To all financially struggling ARMYs out there, here is an idea although I have not tried this: Someone sent me this idea. If you do surveys on Google Oppinion Rewards , you are getting rewarded with money. We can use those money for the next cb Please have a look at the screenshots for full explanation!! Also spread
  5. Kim Seokjin gets a lot of flak for being too goofy, too dorky, too bad of a dancer. What many refuse to see is the reason behind the goofiness, the good results his dorky actions bring to BTS and that he is not a bad dancer anymore. In fact, he has emerged as one of the best vocalists in Kpop. He has demonstrated his deep understanding of the business required to keep their career going, and a mental fortitude that has deeply influenced the whole team. Kim Seokjin is more than just a pretty face (although he is a lot of that). He is talented, a genius, strong, and kind. Watch the video and learn more about the struggles, difficulties, and how Jin beat all those to help build one of the most successful musical groups in the world of all time.
  6. i love Somin and Sechan but the original cast (with Joongki) is still the best. second choice will be the era after Joongki left. Third is the current line up. my list favorite will be the one with no Sechan, no Gary, no Somin
  7. Details on How YG Became Known As The Home Of Artist-Idols: A Paper By Ivey Business School (Canada) I think there's lots of info here if you want to know more about Kpop and how Yang Hyun Suk built YG but my favorites are: 1) Korean government was actually the one who built Korean Entertainment. They funded it heavily during the financial crisis. they patterned their marketing model after U.S. Hollywood. 2) According to Yang Hyun Suk other idols lipsync, YG idols don't. 3) Seo Tai ji is not the one who first successfully introduced fusing rapping with Hangguk-oh.
  8. Same here. I think On feat. Sia was something they could have done without. and... because of what this whole Fontana incident, i will edit my playlist and listen to the songs where she is not credited.
  9. I strongly suggest reading the comments section too because the blogger answered lots of questions and clarified lots of things.
  10. This is an objective discussion on how some African Americans feel when they hear Kpop artists say the N word and see how Kpop artists profit from the Black culture. It's objective and enlightening. Stevie, a professor from USC, discusses why many hate the N word and the host tells him about why many Asians don't know about the word. It's a really nice discussion. i will not provide cliff notes because I think African Americans deserve for their piece to be heard.
  11. I think it's nice that there is an African American professor from USC who sees the significance of BTS' decision to support Black Lives Matter. He and the blogger explained clearly the risks involved when BTS decided to make their BLM position.
  12. Let's look at actual evidence that proves BTS paved the way. Paving the way isn't about being the first. It's not even about having more sales or more views or more streams. It's about making an impact that positively affects others artists by opening more opportunities, improving how people look at Asian artistry, and/or better understanding of Asian culture. This video is created to clearly show how BTS' success opened more opportunities for other artists.
  13. Worst Disrespects Thrown at BTS and How They Put People in Their Place: BTS Paved The Way BTS didn’t just pave the way. They cleared the dang jungle with their bare hands, created the trail to make it possible for other Asian artists to make the journey towards the U.S. market. The numbers show it: - Most number of Billboard Hot 100 entry above all Korean artists combined - Most number of Billboard Entry - Most number of platinum and Gold certification among all Korean artists - Sold out concerts - AMA and Billboard awards And this is not even 1% of what BTS has achieved. Yet, they continue to be one of the most hated and bashed Korean artists. Watch the video and learn more about the worst insults, disrespects and hate thrown at BTS and how they are putting people in their place.
  14. Actually people who are into hiphop in the US in general are the ones who understand more.
  15. If you have the time, watch this video so it ranks higher in YouTube. So that when people search about Suga's controversy, they will watch an objective explanation rather than videos from haters.
