Essentially, someone said that Yoon Jisung (ex wanna one) dressed gay and that he should do his hair like a man on bbl and he responded with this: 

“I don't think there are such things like "gay clothes" in the world. I can wear skirts and grow my hair out. I don't think there's a definition for "feminine" style. There shouldn't be any criteria for men to dress, act, and speak to be "manly" either. I hope you don't make any sexist comments“

I don’t necessarily think it proves his sexuality but I thought that it was a very refreshing comment from an idol.

I don’t think there’s a definitive answer. Troye Sivan was/is very popular in korea, blue neighbourhood in particular had a lot of success there and I believe  there’s a lot of koreans that casually listen to his music without knowing that he is gay. There’s a lot of idols who like Troye, if they talk about his music videos or talk about him often I usually at least think they’re an ally. I do know several straight guys who enjoy Troye’s music. Of course listening/talking abt Troye could be an indicator that the idol is gay, or it could not be. The same thing goes with the whole bisexual lightning thing. Maybe they’re trying to hint at their sexuality, or they just chose a pretty colour combination (that is also very common). 

Listening to Troye or using bisexual lightning is usually not enough for me to draw any conclusions about an idol.

Yeah whilst His Man isn’t a BL the audience is unfortunately pretty much the same. I don’t know what it is with that target audience but they are amongst the most entitled, disrespectful and invasive fans around. At this point I only check the twitter  tag to see if I missed updates, I try to avoid checking comments bc they usually just end up frustrating me. 

I honestly feel like some fans just don’t comprehend how short the filming time of the show actually was. The reason that they can hang out with SW and joke about the situation is probably because SW and SH’s interest in each other only lasted for like five days and never was that deep.

I remember JW/CW being friendly to Hyungjin the episode after their fight aired so I assumed that they made up and that it just wasn’t shown on camera but I guess not. 

Just like @Shaandenigma said it seems like Hyungjin doesn’t really hang out with the group at all. I think I saw YH posting a selfie with him after the finale but I haven’t seen more than that.

I honestly have the impression that when they hang out in groups they either hang out with minsung or hyungjoon, I rarely see them hangout with both of them together.

I don’t think it is surprising that not all of them are going to like each other after the show. I just hope they don’t air out their drama in the same way the S1 cast did.

I honestly wonder what the affects of WakeOne’s suppression of haobin will be.

I think they chose this route bc even though pushing a ship could bring in a lot of money it could also affect public perception and turn off potential fans. I think they’d rather appeal to the public and try to get rid of the “gaybaseone” allegations than feed shippers. I do wonder why they changed their attitudes towards haobin so suddenly though. 

Wake one probably thought that cutting out all their interactions would kill off the shippers but I fear that it might just make them more intense. I feel like I’m already seeing it on my twitter feed, us haobin truthers are so starved so every little interaction they have get thousands of likes. I honestly fear that it will make fans ask even more intrusive questions in fansigns and such in hope of haobin content since we’re not going to get it from WakeOne.

it’s truly an end of an era, y’all

every week watching what these guys were up to. i have to applaud the editors. the misdirects definitely engaged me, had me shocked and kept me actively guessing some of these storylines

like the way they made me think jun was chosen with the way they faded out jin and being confused on why min had 1 call when no one else had calls that jun could’ve called instead for us to find out later that he chose to call nobody

i thought it would be mean of the producers to make jin sit in a park alone if no one was going to show up but i should’ve taken that as a hint that min would come

then they cut to seonwu walking in but without showing it’s him to make us think it could be min.. 

the order of events was made to be really entertaining by the creative team which i’m thankful to

initially, i was shocked, but i did feel that min liked jin a bit when he called him over jun (in previous episodes), but i think what really pushed it is that jun basically gave up and didn’t really fight for min that much.. 

like he kept making decisions where he wouldn’t make a move like when he called seonu instead of him and ended up losing out on a date with min

then him choosing not to leave anyone a voice message, instead of using that very last moment to express himself (i guess he did write a letter to him, though) 

but judging by min’s message to jun, it sounded like he already decided to choose jin before, so maybe a call wouldn’t have mattered

either way, what i do hope is that people won’t be immature and send hate to jin because of this outcome or try to defend jun by sending hate to the actual guy

ofc, it’s not something i can control though

i can’t wait for the commentary to be properly released again and hopefully get eng subs for it soon as well

So sad that we reached the end but I truly enjoyed this season so much! And I’m so happy for junsungho. The face junsung made when he saw that sungho had picked him

Thoughts on the episode:

Oh the irony of me posting that I was rooting for minjun more than junsungho like two weeks ago bc I didn’t want to be disappointed.. 

I honestly haven’t been vibing with Hyungjin this entire show, and this situation isn’t really helping my perception of him. Hyungjun also comes across as quite immature to me. The whole situation just left me feeling bad for minsung, I don’t know if I would pick either of them if I was him tbh. 

I feel like most of the cast’s crushes were never that serious. I feel like JW, YH, SW and Hyungjin all just latched on to one person for the sake of the show. Junsungho + Hyungjun are the only ones that I think have more serious feelings. I’m unsure about minsung.

I agree with what was said above, I’m very happy with this season and it’s nice to see a more balanced cast. It made the show more enjoyable than last time for sure. This season I felt like the two “surprise” contestants that were added later than everyone else got introduced earlier than in s1 which was positive. I remember feeling like the two surprise contestants in s1 never really felt like they were part of the main cast in s1. 

The one thing I’d wish them to work on is the age gaps of the contestants. In both s1 and s2 it felt like everyone ranged between like 25-33 and then they’d throw in one guy who was like 21. I get that they do it for a bit of shock value and to have a more diverse cast but in both seasons it felt like we ended up with a cast member that in reality wasn’t compatible with most of the contestants due to their young age. I hope they either stick to the 25-33 range or add at least another younger cast member to balance it out a bit. 

I also don’t know how I feel with the room arrangements.. I get that not everyone gets to stay in a couple room but I also feel like only having one couple room was an odd choice. I wonder if the plot would have developed differently if not half of the cast were sleeping in the same room lol.

I’m also deep in the zb1 brainrot and this something I’m wondering a lot about as well lol. Right now I lean towards the members knowing. Seeing Gyuvin and Gunwook joking about how Hanbin flirts made me think that they probably are aware (who else would they have seen Hanbin flirting with?) 

We know that the members have been lurking on the internet since the start of bp so I think it’s very likely that they’ve seen Hao’s old weibo posts, all the gay planet jokes, Jiwoong’s bl kiss and so on. When you also consider the fact that zb1 seems to have become so close (with several of them having known each other for years) and how open they seem to be with each other I feel like they must have talked about all of this in some shape or form. I think they at the very least are aware that hao and hanbin are gay. Especially since haobin seems to have been quite comfortable with their sexuality before bp judging by their online presence. I might just be overthinking it though.

Honestly I try not to worry to much about the inconsistencies with their interactions lately since I feel like it probably also has a lot to do with wakeone. Ever since bp ended I feel like we’ve been watching wakeone struggling with what to do about haobin. They started out posting a lot of haobin content (like the tiktok content and the first debut teaser) but then something shifted and they stopped pairing them up all the time. I personally feel like most haobin moments we get nowadays come from sources outside of wakeone. Usually we see companies push ships and fanservice but haobin is different since not only a lot of fans but also people outside the fandom believe there to be something going on between them. I think wakeone is very aware of this and is trying to find a balance between keeping shippers happy and not painting out zb1 as a gay group. Maybe I’m delulu but I personally think that the moments we’ve seen lately were they seem more careful of physical touch (like the cute clip that was posted above) speak to them being told to reign in their affection a bit. 

On another note I feel like Haobin being more cautious on camera might actually be good for them. Just as many of you mentioned, an unfortunate byproduct of haobin being open with their fans leads to some fans feeling like they have a right to know what is going on in their relationship which is bound to take a toll on them.

Sungho and Junsung Date:

- Very cute, they’re so comfortable with each other already! And they talked about the future and life outside of the house so it gives me hope. Whole date also re-affirmed to me that they both are pretty mature and level headed.

- The look Sungho gave Junsung when they were looking at the beach, we see himmm

- Junsung saying he likes Sungho without makeup anyways because of the simplicity and Sungho telling him that he needs to change his ideal type then lol

- Also Sungho talking about how nobody else will approach him because they all can see how enamored Junsung is was adorable

- The way they interact already feels so much like an established couple

- Sungho looked so happy talking about the date at the house aww

Yeonhee and Seonwoo Date:

- Skipped through most of it tbh

- I don’t feel chemistry between them, at least romantically

- YH a cutie though

Minsung and Hyungjoon Date:

- I’ve warmed up to Hyungjoon a lot more!

- They’re both cute and the date was really nice

- Minsung making HJ guess the perfume and telling him to stop the car when he got it wrong was funny

- Minsung seems so ditzy at times but also very forward (like rejecting the other HJ’s invite which was ballsy and I loved it lmao), he also talks in aegyo and is playful. I like him a lot tbh and I hope he won’t break Hyungjoon’s heart.

- HJ opening his list of questions constantly was funny

- I think Minsung really likes being openly adored so the biggest obstacle for them is HJ bring more up front about his feelings

- On another note, a redeeming factor for SW for me on the show is his relationship with MS. 

Hyungjin and Jeongwook/Cheongwook Dare:

- Hyungjin will pay for his sins

- CW is so mature and handled the whole aftermath of the date so well, I hate seeing him get treated like dust

Seonwoo’s relationship with Minsung is the one redeeming factor for me as well. He truly seems to only want to make people around him happy. I feel bad for disliking him but that kind of approach just doesn’t really work on a dating show though. I got pretty annoyed at him during the date with YH. I understand that he doesn’t want to hurt his feelings but at this point I kind of feel like he is just stringing YH along. YH gave SW the opportunity to say that he didn’t have feelings for him but SW choose a non-answer. Idk the date just left me feeling bad for YH. 

The whole JW (CW) situation made me so frustrated. I get that Hyungjin just wanted to clear the air and clarify that he didn’t have any romantic interest in JW but he literally chose the worst possible way to go about it. Hearing him say that after JW talked about how nice it was to have made a friend that he felt very comfortable with made me so sad. 

I think that the fact that I was rooting so much for Changmin and Jeonghyun last season has made me a bit vary of rooting for JS and SH tbh. I think they’re adorable and I hope that they end up together in the final but I’m a bit scared to get too invested and have them not end up together. Especially when we have the whole love triangle going on. Because of this I actually found myself enjoying Minsung and Hyungjoon’s relationship progression more. I literally let out a cheer of joy when Minsung said that he would turn down Hyungjin.

Honestly I think the reason why most people have found him sus (on this thread at least) has less to do with minsung and more to do with what seems like a general disinterest/coldness towards women (his fans usually) whilst seemingly acting more playful and flirty with guys (usually his bandmates or other idols). I think this to many gives of the vibe that he just isn’t attracted to women. Honestly I do also lean towards him being gay but at the same time I don’t really believe the “coldness” he has towards female fans can be used to argue that he isn’t attracted to women. 

There have been some “receipts” during the years but nothing clear cut. There was this instance a couple of months ago that caused some discussion here: 

There are some different opinions on this one though since the question interviewer actually asked was “did you have a crush on them” (and not “her” which it was translated as). Lee know’s answer (“it’s him”) could therefore be taken as “no it was a guy so of course I didn’t have a crush on him”. 

The other instances I can remember right now is this one where he essentially said that he couldn’t have a boyfriend since he’s a “pro idol” followed by him looking shocked over his own words in a fancall: 

Some people have interpreted this as he subconsciously kind of outed himself but at the same time it could also just be that he didn’t realise that he was essentially was answering the question “why don’t you have a boyfriend” (and not “why don’t you have a girlfriend”) and that it implied something that he didn’t mean. 

So I would say that it definitely isn’t just minsung that has made people question him, but at the same time the few “receipts” that do exist aren’t really waterproof either. In my opinion he’s a difficult guy to read since he’s more private.

Also on Jiwoong, I thought his relationship with Seobin (hope I spelled his name correctly) was purely fan-service for their dramas and they are just good friends, but I saw some tweets earlier about how Jiwoong deleted a lot of his pics (including of them) and in return, Seobin unarchived a lot of their pics. I thought that was interesting because I don’t really think they will be doing dramas tgt again and that doesn’t seem like something a co-worker would do. Also, during one of the last BP eps, the trainees could record a vlog and Jiwoong went to a dog cafe with someone. The voice apparently doesn’t match according to fans but the shirt the other person wore looked similar to the one Seobin wore that he uploaded the day after I think (I’m sure if y’all search twitter, you will get better details than this since I’m trying to remember from memory). If he was there when Jiwoong was shooting content for BP, that’s interesting too. I’m still on the boat of fan-service but just wanted to add to the discussion.

I have been thinking of bringing this up. These are the pics that seobin removed at the start of bp and that he know unarchived (see the whole thread). 

They’re all very coupley and I find it interesting that they felt the need to remove them during bp but felt that they were fine now. It’s also interesting that it happened the same day as Jiwoong started cleaning out his instagram. 

A lot of the content they put out is definitely fanservice but they’re also a lot closer than most korean bl couples are, I think only Jaechan and Seoham comes close. I remember Jiwoong saying something along the lines that Seobin was the first person that he has spent so much time with and Seobin seeming genuinely very sad and worried when he hadn’t spoken with Jiwoong for a couple of days bc of bp. I do also tend to lean towards them just being friends but there’s some moments that I feel that it actually might be more, for example them going on a trip together and talking about spending time in the bathtub drinking wine. I also still feel that their behind the scenes kissing scenes were a bit much for two people who aren’t at least attracted to each other, especially when Jiwoong even said that kissing is what brought them closer.

I don’t follow him super closely but I do try to keep up a bit at least. I think he’s quite difficult to read. I remember that he often would get flustered abt skinship and such when he was in w1 in a way that pinged me. He had a quite obvious crush on V back in the day and he also did waacking predebut. He did have dating rumours with a female BJ a few years ago but she denied it several times, not sure if he ever put out a statement.

His costar‘s name is Hyunwook, I personally never saw it as fanservice, probably because it felt much more lowkey/subtle than how fanservice usually is in kpop. Hyunwook does keep on talking abt how sexy Jihoon’s eyes are in like every interview he does so maybe there is a bit of fanservice there. Here is a very recent example from Hyunwook’s instagram story abt Jihoon’s comeback. 

Hyunwook does also follow a trans dragqueen on instagram if that counts for anything. 

I personally believe that Jihoon is gay but that he, at least until quite recently, has been working hard to mask it which makes him kind of hard to read.

I don’t follow thai BL closely either but I think it is worth noting that in this particular situation fans weren’t just upset about their ship not being real. In his tweets he complains about how delusional his fans are and then goes on to tweet ”the number for the mental health hotline is 1323” and that the government need to improve the education system. 

I agree with you. Fans don’t have a right to be angry when their ship isn’t real but in cases like these he isn’t blameless. How can you call your fans delusional and uneducated for believing ideas that you fed them? He has been in BLs before and has done the fanservice thing before, he knew what he was doing and what type of fandom he was creating.

Don’t know what he’s saying but I believe it was from a live. The explanation I saw claimed that he was bored and kicking his feet, which is why he was moving that way. I still think it looks a bit sus tho
