SMH, I don't know how many times 1H has unsubscribed me from the Crayon Pop thread at this stage...

I've been around on various k-pop forums since 09 and being honest, there are only a handful of current groups I've got any interest in. Back when I first got into k-pop people still held out hope that 1TYM were actually on hiatus since it had only been about 18 months since the members last performed together, I just looked it up and it's now been 12 and 1/2 years since their last album. My worry with Chrome is there has been a lot less communication and very little general activity since the takeover and CEO Hwang leaving. We've gone from a position a few years ago where you had Crayon Pop TV, Chrome-in and Chrome Family concerts in Japan off the back of Crayon Pop's success featuring K-Much, Bob Girls and Zan Zan to a point where they appear to have three actors signed under the agency but have completely forgotten how to engage with fans or make YouTube videos. Vlive is at best a niche site (and Chrome were late to the party in signing up) yet that seems to be the only place there's been any new content recently and even then it's only Be.A members self recorded videos which are averaging 1 - 2k views. It's possible we may see some sort of Crayon Pop reunion one day but I don't see much happening in the immediate future.

One of the worst things about this thread unsubscribe bug happening to an older and currently inactive group is probably the fact most of the people who were subscribed to the thread are either no longer active on the site or don't even realise they're unsubscribed because their notifications are usually full with groups who are currently promoting...

A few more... The next few are from an event for a company called COSTORY earlier this year so there may be some better press photos out there than the ones I've found so far... Although I haven't seen it mentioned specifically this time round, I know the powers that be on 1H used to take issue with photos being more than 2 years old so that might be something to keep in mind while looking for potential award photos.

I wouldn't say no to help since I have some ongoing commitments IRL at the moment. I've found a few photos as a starting point, there may be some others taken at the same time or even from the same photoshoots that would work for awards too. There may be some good press photos of the girls from Soyul's wedding, their styling was pretty much on point that day (Geummi in particular )

Since awards change season is here again and Crayon Pop are in batch 2 with a deadline of January 4th I'm going to suggest we start thinking about possible new pictures for badges. As a prelude, it might be a good idea to post some of the best (semi recent) photos you find in here first. That would help in doing some of the groundwork before we actually go on to making the mock badges and vote. The full rules are set out in the OH information on awards season but the big one is no fan taken photos. Press / promo photos are fine, but photos from fansites (which a lot of the high res member photos are - think airport / in concert type pictures) are a no no.

The boys are rumoured to be lined up to take part in YG Ent's new reality survival show MIXNINE on JTBC. I'm hoping that at least one or two members get decent exposure - but with around 400 participants, it's going to be tough... fingers crossed! (For any former Bob Girls fans out there, Yujeong appears to be taking part also.)

Actually, back in the day it tended to be rendered as Slayon Pope! I think it might have originated out of the original Prophet Blog (pre Arcadey). It became a fairly popular nickname among fans during that time for the divine five (Slayon Pop and Crayon Pope were occasional alternates).

I think netizens have been blinded by the helmets as to how pretty the Crayon Pop members are. Ellin occasionally got a mention from time to time, but it's like Geummi, Choa etc were invisible.

Ugh, I've been waiting since October for my signed copy of Miss Me? This week I get an e-mail from mwave telling me that it's 'out of stock' and that they're going to refund me the purchase price... The damn money I paid them 3 months ago is of little use if I'm going to have to spend 3 or 4 times as much to get a signed copy from a reseller now I think I might need to take up meditation before I break something

Way back in the middle of 2014 I created a new set of OP profile pictures for this thread but for whatever reason I never got around to using them. I might as well post them now, since I recently found them again when I was going through my Crayon Pop photos folder! I know I still have the full photoshoot somewhere, and it wasn't ever posted in thread so I'll get that uploaded and post it in here soon.

Another girl who appears to be training at D-Business at the moment is Hayang, she was previously a member of the group LoveUs (which by coincidence also featured two former members of Bob Girls). https://instagram.com/p/BIrqmlNjA2q/ If DM does decide to continue the D-UNIT name with new girls, he'll probably wheel out the old line about how the group's original concept was having a changeable lineup of non permanent members and how this is just that concept in action...

I don't want to preempt it, but I wouldn't be surprised if DM pulled the same stunt Brave Brothers did with Brave Girls by trying to relaunch D-UNIT with either a completely new line up or a bunch of new girls and Zin if she's still under contract there. Either way, former Bob Girls member Yujeong has been hanging around the D-Business building recently and there's another girl in the background of one of her photos.
