  1. Thank smile.png. Is China worst than Korea about lgtb? Because I feel like Korea just ignore in general homosexuality, but China is openly homophobic? Also Kris didn't pinged me, he is a mistery but I remember a video from Exoshowtime when they sing SNSD song, and kris should sing Gigi. And just after said" listen boy" he said "O my girls.." Like he wasn't confortable to sing it. Unlike Xiumin.

China has more state homophobia right now, because homosexuality in general is more of a topic in Chinese culture, since the time immemorial actually. Korea is more conservative, family-oriented in general, the topic is often met with uncomfortable silence still. The problem in China is the Party: even if people may be a bit more open and tolerant, particularly in cities like Shanghai, the oficial party line has great power. Korea is a democracy, it has greater potential for reinventing itself and the change can be rapid, but people are still quite ignorant -- and political change in this regard is held back by powerful Christianist groups.

  2. Is it just me, or are visuals usually speculated or maybe have more receipts when it comes to being part of the LGBT than other members?

It's not always the case but the frequency is definitely there.

Hmmm... depends on how you define the visual. Key, Jonghyun, Yunho, Sungjong, Woohyun, N, Tao, and many other almost-certains are not considered to be ones.

  3. I'm like 90% sure Leo is gay

    the vibes are soooo strong

Do not hesitate to post some examples. ilikeitplz.png

Doesn't Kai get paired a lot with Sehun, also? We even had the wicked witch of the west come in here and make a "sort of but not really homo" post about them once.

Thanks, now I miss her. She was fun... in a sad, twisted way.

  4. I've created an account just to express my "sadness" over one of Taemin's answer in the documentary.

I really don't want to believe what that fortuneteller said to our boy unsure.png how could a hardworking guy like him will only have luck on his side until he reached his fifties?

He is all smiles and making jokes out of it but it just makes me sad ohdearplz.png

What kind of luck? Because if his career so far is not an example of great luck -- his tremendous effort notwithstanding -- then I don't know what is.

  5. I was searching for a certain picture of Taemin and accidentally found this pic of him with SHINee's manager (or with Minho/Jonghyun, I really can't tell from the picture and different receipts of who it is sharing a hug with Taemin exist on the internet, but it would make sense if it was Minho, since it was taken by a Minho fansite)

That's indeed Tae and his manager, but it's not what it looks like. Someone dug out the vid and the manager was just bringing Tae's jacket from the room and got photographed when he was passing it to him. Nothing to see here. This photo is a great example of why I always tell people to be careful with pictures.

And the entirety of koreanbeef can go die slowly in a fire.

  6. New AI can guess whether you're gay or straight from a photograph

Artificial intelligence can accurately guess whether people are gay or straight based on photos of their faces, according to new research suggesting that machines can have significantly better “gaydar†than humans.

The study from Stanford University – which found that a computer algorithm could correctly distinguish between gay and straight men 81% of the time, and 74% for women – has raised questions about the biological origins of sexual orientation, the ethics of facial-detection technology and the potential for this kind of software to violate people’s privacy or be abused for anti-LGBT purposes.

The research found that gay men and women tended to have “gender-atypical†features, expressions and “grooming stylesâ€, essentially meaning gay men appeared more feminine and vice versa. The data also identified certain trends, including that gay men had narrower jaws, longer noses and larger foreheads than straight men, and that gay women had larger jaws and smaller foreheads compared to straight women.

Human judges performed much worse than the algorithm, accurately identifying orientation only 61% of the time for men and 54% for women. When the software reviewed five images per person, it was even more successful – 91% of the time with men and 83% with women. Broadly, that means “faces contain much more information about sexual orientation than can be perceived and interpreted by the human brainâ€, the authors wrote.

Welp. So much for the "you can never know unless they tell you" crowd. Now, of course it doesn't mean that whoever has "gender atypical features" is gay; we've been through that. The study also ignored bisexuality. But do look at the numbers. Second, thank god if your country managed to evolve morally before a technology like this appeared.

  7. Why are people being dumb about asexuality again? It nay matters whether it belongs in the LGBT group or not, that logically depends on what standards you choose to have. Are asexuals as opressed as LGBT people proper? No. Does it matter? Why?

Second, if we can discuss who is straight, we can sure as hell discuss who's ace. If some people have a problem with it, they are once again being illogical. It has nothing to do with the topic and everything with that weird hangup some people have about asexuality. Methinks some of you are jealous.

  8. I'm really upset..this was my perfect scandal free group and now this, he made it so much worse by saying "I was drunk i can't remember" that's the excuse rapist use all the time to excuse their actions, now he looks so guilty..I can't believe it

Actually, that was very honest from him, since it puts his fate in the hands of other people. It all happened in a public space, so it definitely isn't just her word against his. Drunkenness does not excuse him, but he's been willing to accept the truth and the consequences, whatever they are.

  9. yall , this is not exactly related but i need some opinions on this

So men are much more likely to be either gay or straight: “The prevailing scientific view is that bisexuality in males doesn’t physiologically exist.â€

    http://www.stylist.co.uk/life/sophie-wilkinson-asks-are-lesbians-invisible-because-they-are-women

Old information is old, no matter how prevalent. Newer studies have found ample evidence that male bisexuality does indeed exist -- to great relief of all male bisexuals everywhere, I am sure. There may be fewer of them than female ones perhaps, but they are no rarity.

The problem here is self-reporting and identity. It is simply easier for a bi guy to either keep the straight facade even to himself (an occasional fling notwithstanding) or to "go to the other side" and call himself gay. There may be a difference between male and female sexuality, but there sure as hell is a difference between how the sexualities are presented.
