I think it's up to any person to not support due to racist ignorance or bodyshaming because those are huge dealbreakers obviously, but at the same time it is true that if you do mind that, you need to keep in mind that legit the entire kpop industry is problematic as hell lol. Only the newest newbie groups haven't really messed up (yet). Off the top of my head, NCT have their fair share of those scandals, SKZ have done some stuff, EXO comes to mind, BTS obviously messed up tons of times and those are just the groups people (or I lol) hear about. So yeah, Enhypen isn't some big outlier I think their stuff was just more blown up bc everyone got "interested" in the Sunoo bullying situation (I don't follow Enhypen enough to know whether that one's true but the kpop community loves themselves some bullying scandals).
This is what I mean. At least be fair and pick a side justly.

you ignoring everything else I said is very funny to me like.
and yeah you just prove my point y’all going to continue to join the enhypen hate train even when they stopped make those kinds of comments anymore. like, years of that will go by and people will continue like this bskdbkd even if there are groups that currently keep saying that kind of gross cmmts y’all will never let go just THEM. hypocrisy at its best.

although you make a good point on fat shaming but its still a fact that enhypen still haven’t apologized for it or did something abt it and dont get me started on the n word situation, BLACK engenes were attacked by non black at so much lengths to protect a member
and the fact that heeseung/belift did not say anything shows. also the internalized homophobia in enhypen is so
like ur not fooling anybody.
name a single group that has apologized for fatshamed a member? lmao no one has ever apologized for that bfr
and it’s been several months since they made the last comment related to that to sunoo, they’ve probably learned their lesson.
and the fact that heeseung hasn’t talked about it doesn’t have anything to do with him either, they literally didn’t even have a debut year that time and perfectly belift can prohibit his groups from talking about anything in order to no make it a big scandal o wtv. isn’t enhypen fault having a shitty company who prefers to remain silent than to face things.
and you talk about internalized homophobia like most koreans are so open minded about it. like, it doesn’t even surprise me most of the groups we stan have internalized homophobia as well and just cover it up.

since you can’t search WELL for info that you’re supposed to be interested in, here are some tweets that you find by simply putting the name of the group + “fatshaming” is not that difficult.

you could research it yourself since you’re so interested in hating a group for it.
and when I say half of the kpop industry has said things like that it’s because it’s literally half if not more. you won’t have a hard time finding info as well.-

yk what when they fatshamed sunoo and one of the members said the n word they didn’t apologize did they? it does hurt when i have friends who are fat and black who unstanned. so i’m not disliking them for just ‘existing’. but that’s besides the point, they’ve also had quite the history of bullying sunoo to a certain extent.
yeah and in that case you could hate half the kpop industry for having made exactly the same comments to members of their group because unfortunately they are normalized among themselves and as a society. but they you are still hate enhypen and only enhypen for smth so many more groups has done since they are the only ones that have gone viral for that.
if you’re going to hate someone for it, then do it to all those groups who have made shady comments to their bandmates as well and stop being hyprocrite.

y’all just hate enhypen atp just for existing srsly like without any valid argument. jungwon as well never has shown any type of interest of woman nor said nothing about it tho. sunghoon in the other hand has this bi vibes you can’t deny it.
so where does all this theory come from that they are the most straight group of all? bcs they are more reserved and aren’t kissing and touching eo like other groups do? that’s so... kpop ate y’all heads.

awful performance tbh but what can i expect from enhypen outside of dancing and appeali to straight women hah. painfully straight (and exaggerating it at times) group besides my fellow gay sunoo
People in this industry are so used to queerbaiting and see their favs touch their bandmates all the time that they see the first group as introverts, who don’t really like contact and being cheesy and automatically think they’re straight just because of that KAKSJHSHS.
You really don’t have to follow enhypen to know that it’s not just sunoo who looks like someone who has no interest in women at all. If you followed them closely you would know better.

Absolutely. I didn't say there are no gay South Korean idols or that their dating is "impossible." I said that their percentage is at most only a bit higher than the general population.
I understand the desire for representation. I get it, truly. It's there, but if you want anything closer to certainty, look to the foreigners. I can totally see idols like Felix, Kevin, and Keeho dating among their own (fellow gay foreigners in the industry). Their signaling is clear and not gummed-up with Western biases about what counts as gay behavior across cultures—rather, they're in accord with those same Western conceptions about what's gay.
And what about idols with korean nationality who are sassy and display effeminate manners in the way they talk, walk, or express themselves? I know some who are even more expressive than Felix, Kevin and Keeho, like yk Key, Dongpyo, Sunoo, Chanhee (I know there’s more but I can’t remember rn). Isn’t there a chance that they are gay just because they were born and raised in korea? that’s how it sounds.

I saw this the other day and I think Sunoo is trying to send us a hint.
Enhypen was brainstorming their next adventure and they had many marker colors to chose from. The other members stuck to one or two colors, while Sunoo made his poster full rainbow. He drew the rainbow colors in order, so it looked more than just colorful
In the west people think rainbows = gay. I wonder if it’s that way in Korea?
Timestamp starts at 9:00
he always shows a lot of interest in the rainbow colors!

This might sound dumb but I had a light bulb moment while I was watching an episode of Enhypen's new show, Sunoo is so fabulous and living his best life. I remember thinking back in the day that he might not be as masculine as the other members but he seemed really really young and might "out grow" or more likely suppress this feminine stage of his life. I love how Sunoo seems to be embracing who he is and not changing for anyone. He may never ever say "yes,I'm gay" but he is still being his true self.
I always get very emotional when I thinking it because it's true that probably very few idols are willing to come out publicly because of how dangerous it is in general, and I've always felt that sunoo is going to be one of those who will stay in the closet who knows for how long (if not forever) and with very right! being in one of the groups that has unfortunately earned the stereotype of the most "straight" along with their fandom, is a lot of pressure already. but i’m proud despite that he always shows himself with sincerity and is not ashamed of his femininity. I love him so much for that

Well, a youtuber who reads tarot and said that all enha is straight also claimed that the reason why the guys in the group are "envious" of Sunoo is because of his life as a rich guy.... When is the most inaccurate thing she can say, the only ones who went to public schools were Sn/woo all the others went to expensive schools and some studied and went on trips abroad, Sn first trip was to Germany this year with enha
that’s why i don’t trust much on these alleged tarot readers. anyone who is part of the fandom would know there’s no way members envied sunoo for being “rich” when THE Jay is in the group lmao, who is the son of a CEO and is rich since he was born
and practically all of them come from wealthy families who studied in private schools.

anyway i'm here to defend sunoo from the straight agenda, FREE HIM!!!! he's legit one of the gayest 4th gen idols...despite how restrictive enha is as a group (or should i say engenes as a fanbase) wrt homosexuality, sometimes you just Know because Vibes and that's sunoo to a T
all the other members being straight i can totally buy (i fully admit i'm delulu when it comes to heeseung and sunghoon) but SUNOO?? there's no way.
engenes can go to hell for being one of the most straightness and homophobic fandoms of all currently, poor sunoo don’t deserve it.

these “insiders” believe that certain male idols are straight just because they hadn't been seen them dating people of their same sex nor woman which doesn't automatically make them straight anyway

Ooh, are we talking about tarot readings now? Well, according to some “insider”/sasaeng tea, as well as some tarot/astrology blogs and accounts I have followed, here is what I have come across(remember to take this information with a grain of salt since it is only rumors/readings):
-There are commonly more queer idols now in the 4th generation of K-pop than previous generations.
-All members of BTS are straight as fuck, but are all supportive of the LGBTQIA+ community.
-All NCT members are straight(but some members may have hooked-up with each other to experiment out of curiosity).
-Both Hongjoong and Wooyoung are bisexual, and are the LGBTQIA+ line in Ateez(yes, only those two, believe it or not). They have reportedly been spotted going to gay clubs together. Yeosang experimented, but ultimately identified as straight, but is somewhere on the ace spectrum(but he prefers not to label himself). All of the other Ateez members are supportive and understanding of them.
-TXT’s Yeonjun had a friends with benefits relationship with Wooyoung, and have also once been spotted going to a gay club together by a fan(apparently, Yeonjun got into a fight with a stranger/club goer there). The fan was also more mad about them going to a club during the Covid-19 lockdown than anything else she witnessed.
-Kevin, Changmin(Q), Chanhee(New), and Jacob are the LGBTQIA+ line of the Boyz.
-We all know about Qsoob/Soobkyu(TXT’s Soobin and the Boyz’s Q). They started out with solely a physical/sexual friends with benefits relationship, before turning into something much more serious/deeper.
-TXT’s Taehyun and Huening Kai had a deep, close, special thing in the earlier years of their career, before Itzy’s Yuna came into the picture…
-Three members of Stray Kids are the LGBTQIA+ line(pansexual Hyunjin, bisexual Felix, and Minho/Lee Know is somewhere on the ace spectrum). We’ve been knew, queers travel in packs/groups after all.
All of the other Stray Kids members are also supportive and understanding of them(as long as it doesn’t damage or get in the way of their group’s career/image, which is mostly Bangchan’s concern).
-Hyunlix is real(in a physical/sexual sense). They started having a physical/sexual relationship in God’s Menu era. Apparently, Hyunjin’s been in love with Felix for the longest time, and wanted a real, true relationship with him, but Felix is only interested in the physical side of things, and does not want to be tied down in any serious relationship(there’s also factors regarding his parents’ approval, mental health, and fear of commitment, mostly focusing on hook-ups, one-night stands, and having no strings attached when it comes to relationships). Hyunjin is also reportedly very possessive and controlling when it comes to love. When Stray Kids were on the reality competition show Kingdom: Legendary War, Wooyoung(he’s a fuckboy, apparently)had a fling/flirt with Felix, a friends with benefits type of thing. When Hyunjin found out about it, he and Felix had a rift for a little while. But in the end, Hyunjin knows his relationship with Felix isn’t official, so he can’t do anything about Felix’s other flirts/flings/relationships, leaving him with heartache/heartbreak through it all.
-All members of Enhypen are straight(yes, even Sunoo, believe it or not).
-Most of DKZ are gay, and Jaechan isn’t one of them, surprisingly…
Well, this is all the the information I have gotten so far. Remember to take this with a grain of salt. That is how I usually take it, lightly and just for fun, and I only really believe it/take it seriously if multiple blogs/accounts and astrology/tarot readers are saying the same things, or have information that’s similar.
there's no way sunoo, the guy who wanted to be "friends" with a man just because he looked attractive af, says yass in the gayest tone of voice you've ever heard before and walks squirming his hips like he has a big ass, is straight. even bi is more believable... but straight? come on.

Why did you gasp? I am so out of the loop. What happened why would they have to photoshop them together?
there was an inside joke in the fandom about heeseung and sunoo being exes because of how they behaved around each other lately, bec they used to be extremely close in the debut era but since the end of last year they started acting really weird around eo; they no longer spoke infront cameras and ignored their presences so bad, heeseung sometimes made very doubtful faces when it was sunoo’s turn to talk, etc(?).
Anyway, they started joking that they broke up since it and sunoo uploaded that photo "together" the other day after almost two years without uploading anything together. And now they are saying they reconciled or fixed whatever problems they had lmao

i disagree -- i don't think he started teasing sunoo because he was envious that sunoo would be a better fit for the MC job or anything, i think he started teasing him because that's...just how he likes interacting with sunoo (for better or worse). during i-land, given-taken era, and drunk-dazed era you can tell that sunghoon just doesn't know how to interact with sunoo (probably because he's never met anyone as open as him before) and most of their interactions during this time are initiated by sunoo, though not entirely. then during tamed-dashed era the pendulum swings and sunghoon starts being obnoxious and teasing sunoo for his reactions while sunoo largely ignores him. i don't think there's anything intentionally mean about it - i remember during this era sunoo is doing a solo vlive and a fan asked "why does sunghoon tease you everyday?" and sunoo says something like "i was curious about this too so i asked him, and he said 'teasing you is the joy of my life'". and then sunghoon has his solo birthday vlive in december, where he's given anon letters from each member and has to guess who wrote them. and he gets this letter:
just my opinion but im surprised whenever there’re comments of enhypen having "something against" sunoo they always get positive reactions but when it is the opposite like this one here, there’s at least one negative. I don't know what to call this, but it seems y’all like to think sunoo suffers being there.
anyway, agreeing with this opinion i have never felt sh feels "envy" of sunoo's way of being because they are simply completely different souls and sunghoon being introverted and rarely shows his feelings doesn’t mean he’s unhappy with that, however he continues to admire people who are more open and unashamed to express themselves freely as sunoo is. People over time accept themselves as they are and learn this is not bad and then feel attracted to people who are different from them with extremely opposite personalities. This happens all the time, and that's why sometimes I feel like sunghoon seems so obsessed with him lmao.
About how much he teased Sunoo... it wasn't like that until last year. On the contrary, in the tamed dashed era sunghoon and sunoo looked very close without the all teasing thing, however this year happened and i don't know if it has anything to do with it, but he got closer to Ni-ki and with it the jokes increased. So I don't know if the minor had any influence on him because personally I've always believed Ni-ki is the most prone to say very imprudent things sometimes.
see? HAHAHAHAHAHS

So I looked into Enhyphen after seeing Sunoo has a cute charm and liking some of their songs…all I’m going to say is, that poor boy has been in such a toxic environment and I don’t see it getting any better, it’s so sad.
Edit: They really made one of the most straight groups (with possible toxic masculinity issues) in Kpop, 3 of them open bullies with nasty egos with the others laughing at the jokes…and then added Sunoo. The whole “Be a real man”…”You can’t be a fake man” thing? Do you think it was a sly dig at Sunoo? Jay or Sunghoon was saying “Be a real man” quoting a BTS song. Then Jay or Sunghoon replied with “You can’t be a fake man” in a kind of mean way?…everyone laughed except Heesung who had a “Oh come on now, did you really have to say that? look on his face.
They have been consistently picking on his weight when he’s not that much different from them, he just has a more fuller face and it suits him? This is probably the major bullying topic fans have picked up on. I’m not surprised if Sunoo has an eating disorder/body dysmorphia
Sunghoon asked insensitive questions during the Lie Detector game, basically calling Sunoo an attention seeker for being cute, whereas apparently the other members got more light-hearted questions
Niki has done this. That’s bad to do to anyone regardless of age, but Niki is younger than Sunoo and Korea has that whole age respect thing right?
There’s another clip where the boys move their chairs from a line to a more U-shape, so Niki ends up kind of facing Sunoo. Niki makes this disgusted look on his face and Sunoo replies with a “sassy stern expression”.
I’ve seen and read about them ignoring him.
I’ve read up on I-land. That Sunoo was consistently in the Grounders, the other boys kept scoring him lowly but Sunoo scored highly with fans/judges? And the final 7 that makes up Enhyphen consists of the top 6 from the Ilanders and Sunoo was the producers’ pick? The other 6 felt like another boy from Ilanders should’ve joined them instead of Sunoo.
That boy does not fit in…plus the whole set-up of i-land was toxic and didn’t help either.
The thing is, I feel if Sunoo was more “straight-passing” in his “vibe” like the other boys…he would maybe still cop it/be excluded at the start but there would be a greater chance of the other boys eventually warming-up to him, as there would be more similarity.
Edit:
A part of me wonders if they are going for his “weight” (on camera at least) which isn’t as taboo to talk about in Korea as a way of disguising homophobia? And to make him want to leave the group? That’s just speculation though.
I don't know when this turned into a psychological analysis of guessing how friendship works in enhypen, so I want to join in too.
Even if there’s evidence they comment on things related sunoo’s weight, there’re other situations like the members alleged homophobia towards him that is totally OUT OF CONTEXT. Like that video, because Jay didn't even say it directly to him?
I'm going to quote two sentences sunoo answered in an interview days ago:
"I express everything as I feel it: If I like something, I say I like it. If I don't like something, I say I don't. When I'm happy, I show I'm happy.”
“Both old and young members make jokes to light up the mood, and it's honestly very funny”.
What I'm going for is that I "know" (and yes, in “ because despite the fact I've been with them since pre-debut, I know absolutely nothing about their daily basis in real life) but if I' m sure of something with all my strength, is that sunoo is and will always be the one with MOST personality among all of them and gets angry without even hiding it, he's not the kind of person his facial expressions don't betray him. You normally see this kind, sweet and sassy side of him that we all fall in love with, but he’s capable enough to defend himself when something affects him and he doesn’t need the fans as mothers to "save" him from enhypen, which is exactly where HE wants to be.
SpoilerWith this I don’t want to imply the comments of them regarding his weight are fine, but if we are going to judge a friendship by that let be fair and think there’re many more groups out there where these things are also said among the members and nobody comment nothing. Why is this happening when its comes only to enha? Is it because sunoo looks THAT “weak" and his femininity doesn't make it in the eyes of people capable of taking those comments like all the other people in those groups? And that... is obviously not misogynistic on your part?
On the other hand, if there's one thing I know It’s true as well, it's the continual prospect sunoo is exposed to for trying to be more masculine. And this is not even the fault of the other members or the group in general, they’re not even in charge of the concept of enhypen. This is entirely the responsibility of the team that works with them and the constant pressure he receive from them as need to "adapt" to the concept in cuestion, which unfortunately is one of the most straight through the bg industry.
I still remember when in iland the producers used to congratulate him when he looked masculine in performances, which probably made them choose him to be part of the group because they knew he would be able to handle that duality within him in the scenarios. Finally, it is true Enhypen is one of the groups that has been formed most recently and through a reality show. What I’m going for is give them the opportunity to grow as person and as a friendship because surely it was very shocking for everyone to live with seven boys with VERY different personalities and try to adapt to them in a short periodt of time. They still do it to this day and they don't deserve to be seen as bad people for comments that are (sadly) normalized in Korea because of the stupid and impossible standard of beauty they have, that OTHER groups also do to eo.
I wouldn't even be defending them if I didn't know they themselves said without sunoo enhypen it wouldn't be the same and that they need him right there.
