It’s unfortunate, but this is the Kpop industry. There are probably hundreds of idols who’ve had an ED of some sort at some point in their careers. Even more so who have participated in disordered eating behaviors. Not going to assume, but it’d be no surprise if Danielle was one of them. Especially with the whole superskinny thing being trendy. :’(

Thoughts on Yuna’s potential jaw implants? I don’t have a lot of other context, but I’m wondering if this could signify a shift in beauty standards from the typical jaw shave look? It just seems so uncommon for a female idol to go for this kind of look. Personally, I think the implants mess with Yuna’s facial harmony, and she could do without them. Mostly I’m thinking of how unnecessary they were. Shana was really so pretty during gp999. The first photo you linked is looking very uncanny. Sad.

I think I’m gonna have to disagree with you here. Irene has always had pretty angular features and high cheek bones, while the other 4 members (minus seulgi) don’t. Seulgi has very good bone structure that would be very desired in a west, and while Joy, Yeri, and Wendy (during happiness era) are all very beautiful, only Joy and Seulgi would be perceived in the same way Irene is. Yeri has a very “cute” face which aren’t as mainstream in the west, and Happiness era Wendy was beautiful, but not in the traditional western sense. But I think Joy and Seulgi would do very good, and personally I think Irene and Seulgi are the most beautiful rv members in different ways. With Irene being more elegant, while Seulgi is more playfully seductive. I think a lot of people also fail to mention the subjectivity of beauty even within kbs and western (U.S. being my frame of reference) beauty standards. Irene might not be considered a top beauty over here, but I don’t think any member of RV would be. I’ve been very much conditioned by WBS into finding certain features attractive, but I’ve never been particularly captivated by Tzuyu’s beauty in pretty much exactly the same way as how you felt in relation to Irene’s beauty. I’ve always been more interested in Momo and Sana based on their features, and especially because of the seemingly effortless confidence they exude. But my opinion doesn’t change the fact that most people consider Tzuyu the most beautiful Twice member even if I can’t see it.
