I've been waiting for Flower to do an upbeat track for so long because the girls can be fierce, but after all this time I've come to the conclusion that LDH just wants them to stick to ballads. It's sort of become their trademark sound. Also, if they record a slow track then the PV could be like Hatsukoi's and they could have Reina and Kyoka sing a few verses and maybe do some harmonies so that they don't get drowned by LM's voices? Right now that's the only way I can see this collab working lol.

LOL. That’s so true. I think if they added a vocalist with a deep or low rough voice I would stan her immediately. XD I wonder if there are any un-debuted female vocalists in LDH. Dolphin Beach is my jam. I like it better than TTH, NNN and Shirayukihime but FMN will always be my all time favorite Flower song. The melody, harmonies, line distribution and everything else about it is flawless. It would be great if we could get another song like that one. I also wish Flower got to sing acoustic songs with a live band or orchestra, go on tour, collab with artists and groups outside of LDH, do a classy Vogue editorial, guest on variety shows... I want way too many things lol. I agree and that's an interesting idea. From what I know only Erina and Kyoka were performers and singers but maybe one of the girls has a hidden talent and we don't know it. I think having another vocalist would be awesome but realistically speaking I don't see it happening. :\ I think we're just gonna be getting more songs like TTH and Shirayukihime where Reina sings most of the song and Kyoka acts as a backing vocalist, which is a pity because I think the best thing about following groups is being able to hear singers with contrasting voices harmonizing together and complimenting each other. Welcome to the thread and fandom! Mio and Nozomi are my favorite members too. They're both very talented and have charming personalities. I also wish Flower did more variety shows. The girls can be very dorky and funny once they loosen up so it's a pity they don't get to show that side of them more often.

Hahaha. I don’t know how fans would react to management adding another vocalist but that would totally rekindle my love for the group. I mean, imagine all the possibilities… What if we got a powerhouse? That would be all sorts of awesome tbqh. Giiirl I looove Kyoka. When Flower debuted I didn’t pay attention to her at all but the more I hear her voice the more I like it. Dolphin Beach has convinced me that she would be good singing grime and lounge and now I can’t get that thought out of my head. I really need Flower to do something other than ballads.

I totally agree. No one can deny Reina's the best vocalist in the group but not everyone will love her tone. Personally, I find her voice so soft and sweet that I need a contrasting voice to make it grab my attention. Chiharu, on the other hand, was capable of handling demanding parts and leading a song but she wasn't as consistent as Reina and would sometimes have issues with her vibrato and pitch. Like you said though, even if she wasn't totally perfect she was good at conveying emotions through her singing. She sounded sorrowful in Call, sensual in Just A Little Bit, soothing in Dolphin Beach... I think she has the potential to be a versatile singer. This is also why I'm so excited about her studying music because it means she'll get proper training for her voice and she'll get to test it and see what works and what doesn't for her. I really really really hope she eventually comes back as a soloist because I would love to hear how she's improved and see her explore genres other than pop. Don't worry. I think more there are more people than you and me who probably feel the same way. We'll just have to wait and see what the producers do with Flower once Chiharu leaves to decide where we stand with the group.

Welcome back chiki! I think you wrote all my thoughts. I've always seen Chiharu as a girl who had dreams bigger than Flower so in a way I feel like I've always been prepared for this moment and I support my bb 100% but at the same time I'm worried about how her departure will affect the group in my ears and eyes. The reason I've complained so much about their latest releases is because Reina and Kyoka make the songs too monotonous for me. Like you said, their voices sound so alike that sometimes it sounds as if it's just one person singing but Chiharu added an extra spice to the songs with her husky tone. With her gone though, Flower will lose part of its charm. I kind of wish they would add another vocalist with a completely different tone and reinvent the group's sound but then again their producers don't seem capable of handling more than two vocalists so I don't know what to think or expect anymore.

There has been a lot of speculation lately about whether or not Chiharu was leaving the group so I am not as shocked as I was when Erina announced her departure but I'm still sad because Chiharu has always been my favorite member in Flower. I kind of wish management had at least given her the chance to sing a solo for one of the b-sides on this single so she could have left with a bigger bang but what's done is done and all I can do right now is wish my bb all the best in her new life and hope that one day we can have the opportunity to hear her sing again.

A song like FnK would be nice too! They could even rock something like Daichi Miura's Chocolate. This is making me so depressed because I know the chances of them releasing songs like those are super low lol. I'm very curious as to how Kyoka would sound singing R&B though. Now that she's been getting featured in more songs she's become my second favorite vocalist in the group after Chiharu so I kind of wanna hear her sing other genres and see how she handles them. Chiharu would definitely shine in an R&B song. I loved hearing her sing that snippet of Misia's Believe during her second audition and yeeeeees we need to hear her sing more than just a few lines in the next title track. I'm waiting so patiently for LDH to send the girls on tour. My wallet is more than ready for that DVD/Blu Ray lol. Maybe you're right and next year LDH will fulfill our wishes. I guess it all depends on how good the girls continue to sell.

MTE! The instrumental and arrangement of that song are perfect. I especially love the melody at the beginning and all the girls got to sing relatively equal parts so that's a major plus for me. I just did. It kind of makes me think of Disney movies lol. It's not my cup of tea but I can see it doing well with their younger fans. I actually want something stronger for their next title track. I've noticed they've been coming up with sexier coreographies for their dance segments in shows and stuff so I would like to see something more mature and dark from them or an androgynous concept. Something like GENE's Animal or 3JSB's Southside would be so many different levels of awesome too. I saw the news for that! I wonder what they will be performing. I would love to see them perform Dolphin Beach but they'll probably go with NnN. They need to go on tour so we can watch more lives.

That single was so perfect I still jam to it tbqh. To me everything they released until FMNW was gold. There's been a few songs here and there that I've liked like from the singles they released afterwards like Hatsukoi, Let Go Again, Dolphin Beach and Nando Demo but that's about it. Kyoka's rocking that silver hair. She looks really pretty. My faves Mio and Chiharu are looking so grown up here and Harumi remains a dork.

That's exactly what I thought when I first listened to it. I'm really liking all the songs. Like you said, they're fun and summerish. I'm sad this is the last we'll hear of them too. I'm sure the girls recorded more songs for the album and some of them might be killer tracks but we will never get to listen to them. I thought the girls had mentioned filming a PV for P.O.V. a few months ago, didn't they? I'm so mad at Avex rn because it feels like they rushed everything so that the group could go on hiatus asap. Exactly. I love the fact that Faky has a very Western sound and that their vocals are strong so I don't want them to lose that. I'm completely open to the idea of them adding members and experimenting with several sounds but I don't want Avex to add weak vocalists or to give them an idol sound.

I really wish the girls would just come out and say whether they want to stay or leave but I guess we gotta keep waiting for an official announcement.

I remember! I was hopeful Avex would get it right this time, but of course they had to go and screw up everything. In a way, I feel like I should have seen this coming but I didn't so I'm even more pissed off than I should be lol. Ugh. Me too and the worst is that we have to wait half a year or maybe longer to find out. I'm also dying to know how many more members they will add and the kind of changes Avex has planned for the group. In a way I'm kind of excited because there's a chance we'll get more powerful vocalists and dancers and maybe the new songs will blow us away but I'm also nervous that they'll become a group like E-Girls or smth like that. We need an insider to tell us what is going on lol.

I remember reading somewhere that the mini would be released internationally on July 2nd but for some reason it's still not available. To be honest I don't understand what is going on anymore but I've seen fans asking the girls to make the EP available worldwide so hopefully Avex will hear our pleas. Exactly. I'm sure Avex already knows who wants to leave the group so they should have just said it. I also don't understand why they couldn't release the full album like they had planned to, but knowing how cheap they are I'm sure they wanted to save the best tracks for their comeback next year. Well, Flower from LDH has been doing pretty well and they are not cute but they do sing mostly ballads, which the Japanese love to bits and their fanbase is mostly made up of girls. This is something I'm actually very curious about because I remember reading a while ago that part of the reason many Japanese girls liked K-Pop was because the girl groups weren't all cutesy so I wonder just how well would a group like Faky do in Japan if promoted right. MTE. That's basically all I want. I want them to remain a group with powerful, solid vocals and a strong, empowering image.

I wish Avex had told us who would be leaving the same day they announced Faky would be going on hiatus because all this speculation is killing me. Whatever the case I just hope Faky won't become a dance/vocal unit or worse a cutesy idol group. If anything I hope they come back as an even fiercer group because that and their solid vocals is what made me want to stan them. I'm dying to hear it too (I read that P.O.V is especially good) but so far Avex has only made it available on iTunes Japan. Hopefully they'll make it available worldwide soon.

That's awesome news! I wonder what their next title track will sound like, will it be a ballad or will they finally go for something different? I really can't wait for the girls to start promoting their new single. I feel like I haven't seen them in a long while although it's been only a few months since the album came out.

Happy birthday to Chiharu! I have to admit that since I don't follow the girls' activities outside of Flower I don't really know busy they are atm. I'm just worried that if they wait too long to hold any group activities they'll lose the momentum they've been gaining over the past few months. Nevertheless, I think management has been doing a great job keeping them in the public eye by dropping some digital releases and getting them to participate in collabs and tribute albums. I think that makes things easier for the girls too. Thanks for posting this. Mio looks so damn pretty here. I love her photo the most.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm not a fan of the other girl groups from LDH so I wasn't aware of this. Also, I take it this means LDH doesn't allow its groups to promote at the same time? In any case, I hope Flower's producers use this extra time to put together a very solid single. The girls seem to be getting more popular these days so they need to keep the momentum going.

At least I’ll have Nando Demo to keep me entertained for a while... By the way, is it just me or were Kyoka and Chiharu giving Reina a run for her money on this track? I honestly feel like this is the best Kyoka has sounded ever. She sounded very gentle and sweet to me and I love her voice here much more than in Shirayukihime. She really needs to get more chances to sing and show us what she can do. And Chiharu, wow, she sounded powerful and in control of her voice. I was floored, tbqh. There were times when I even felt that she was overpowering Reina and I couldn’t believe my ears. I want to hear this girl sing more demanding songs, preferably R&B. I just have to say I'm very proud of both Chiharu and Kyoka. I was worried they were falling behind but they've improved so much in such a short amount of time and if anything this has showed me that they can do much more if given the right kind of songs.

She really is. I wouldn't be surprised if she ranked low on a popularity poll, which is sad because to me she's the most graceful of all the performers. No matter what kind of style she goes after, her movements always look precise and elegant. I feel like she has grown so much over this past year and it's come to a point where I find myself expecting new releases just to see her dance in the PVs lol. Me too. Like you said, her voice offers a nice contrast and gives their songs a different feeling. The acoustic version of Hatsukoi still slays me every time. She sounds really good there and it always leaves me thinking about how the girls would sound singing jazz or what it would look and sound like if they were to hold an unplugged concert. I think there's just way too many things I would like Flower to try.

Oh Lord no. Beyonce's album was rumored to come out every month of the year before it actually dropped out of nowhere. I really hope they either use this time to record more songs or polish the existing ones. It also wouldn't hurt if they added some experimental tracks into the mix. I know. I just hope this isn't a bad omen. Avex really needs to get their stuff together. Hahaha. I think Anna is easy to like because she seems like such a nice, quiet girl. This so much. I don't really know how to explain it, but there's something about the way Mio moves and the expressions she has on her face when she dances that make her look so effortlessly sexy. I could watch her dance for hours and not get bored. I think out of all the performers in the group, she's got the most mesmerizing dances. I feel so conflicted about Chiharu tbh. I mean, it's not like she hasn't been singing at all, but part of my problem is that I haven't been liking the side tracks on the latest singles (except for Hatsukoi) and those are the songs where she gets to sing the most now. To me Chiharu's husky voice adds a certain spice to Flower's songs and makes them less monotonous since Reina and Kyoka have very similar tones so I really hope she'll eventually start being given more lines in the title tracks, which are the only songs we get to see the girls promote. I also would like to hear them sing more challenging ballads where they get to test and play more with their vocals. The producers have got 3 girls with equally beautiful voices and they need to find a way to showcase them all.
