The Viets are even saying Seola is better than her and is at mid Average. I just think Yeonjung just get pushed a lot and goes very stylistic with her iconic straining and closed sound, and now getting very tight at A4/Bb4(?) But I am not really sure with Seola being so high, but she does sometimes sound more open and supported than Yeonjung imo.

The phrased B4s in the chorus actually sounded more open and less nasal than those in her album to me. Maybe her vocal training can really help her get back to prime very soon. Or it could be just studio editing.

Lmao "free/supported" notes by all of Gfriend. This is why some people look down on buddies. Makes me think of the once who claimed Nayeon Jeong and Jihyo consistently have resonance.
-
From my understanding, Jihyo is very stuck and nasal now while Seulgi has passable C5s? Also gonna ask, from their newest OST, is Winter using her falsetto or connected HV? Too processed for me to tell.
-
A bit unrelated: Nayeon is still on the lower side of W-A while Jeongyeon is bottom A right? I wonder what Nayeon will showcase in her coming solo (most likely the same issues but still hoping for some improvement)

Speaking of resonance, enjoy these "resonant" C5/C#5s and also falsetto according to this YT. Just how desperate people are for views. JY is good (enough), but this video is just making her and her fans look bad.

Then it must just be my poor memory lol She was definitely not assumed that high at first, might have been youtube probably
-
They probably just haven't updated the rank list. They acknowledge that Hae has more consistent and fuller C#5s than Ningning. It's like how ppl here at first assumed Haewon was at Karina level (if I recall correctly).

Pretty sure she doesn't support anything above G#4 consistently, and those in this video sound very tight. But she still pulled them off decently enough.
-
Has anyone said that? From my understanding, Seulgi is stuck more stuck and nasal on A4/Bb4/B4, although both are still inconsistent on B4 and with their HV. Seulgi does have a better lower range tho and can be less yelly when straining (but it's still strain so...)

Hihi, I'm here to ask about my friend. Here is a short 1.5-min clip of him. link Is he a baritone or tenor? Since he got different opinions from different music teachers. He seems to struggle a lot from Eb4 and his lower range doesn't seem to go that low. Does he also have any technique? (or how to improve) He's well-known in school for his emotional singing. I think some of his C4 and D4s sound relaxed, but can't tell if they carry support (I hope so tho), while the C4 at the end with the forced vibrato seemed strained. Thanks!

Thanks very much!

Thanks very much! I've been to choir long long time ago for quite a few years, and have done quite a lot of breath support exercise back then, but probably forgot all by now lol Here are a few recordings. The beltier one is TaeNy's Lost in Love which is basically where I'm comfortable doing sustained notes (I apologize for the terrible vocal run at the end, but that G4 was basically yelled) The other is Viviz's mirror, which basically shows the highest I can mix/phrase comfortably. Above that I must switch to falsetto. I find that I tend to do many vibrato to create "support" (or at least what I feel like) and avoid shallowness. I seem to be nasal and throaty also (?) but am mostly comfortable between C#3/D3 ~ Eb4/E4. Are my vibrato forced and do I have any signs of shallow support? Thx!

Hi, I'm new here and not sure if it's allowed to be asked But something about myself My music teacher (very general one, not specialising in vocals) told me that I'm a tenor a few years ago (15 y/o). But recently (17 y/o) when I was exploring my vocal range (F2~A5), I found that my comfort range is lower than my tenor friends and can go much lower than them, but still can easily mix between D4~F#4, which my baritone friends start struggling with. Assuming I found my passagio correctly, they are Bb2/B2 and F#4. At F#4/G4, my chest/mixed voice gets very yelly and above that, I have to switch to falsetto/head voice. But I read that tenors typically can mix up very high, like I've heard my tenor friend easily belting a mixed A4 while I have switched to a masked head voice. Am I possibly a low tenor or actually a baritone? Also, what supported ranges shousl average low tenors (like V) have?I'm probably asking for too much but can I upload a few recordings of myself to see if I have support at all? Thanks!
