that's why i think being a visual is the most cursed position to be in. ppl think it's a blessing to be constantly complimented on your appearance, but it's not rlly fun when that's the only thing you are primarily known for. which is why visuals would feel the constant pressure to upgrade their looks to keep up with the other visuals since it is their strongest weapon. if shuhua is indeed natural as the ppl say, then i have great respect for her. judging by what we've seen, she's clearly the type to not rlly give a damn abt what ppl say abt her, and in fact would even throw netizens' shit back at them. ppl like her would best withstand the hell that is the idol life.

i doubt it's dieting or exercise tho. she was already pretty skinny during dalla dalla era (in fact, i think she's just as skinny as before) but her waist did not look as curvy and slim as the one in the photo. could be just editing, but somebody uploaded a full body candid photo of her some pages back (during the mitm era) and her waist was indeed shaped differently.

they still don't get the memo that everyone just has faces that are structured differently from each other, so one feature that suits a certain person will not look good on another. now nearly every idol has the same eyelid shape, the same ski slope pinched/triangular nose, unnaturally plump cheeks, sausage lips, and dorito chins.

wait did u just say nose peg? as in those tiny black things that they insert inside their nostrils?? that shit's dangerous esp since there is a chance that, if he is actually wearing it during a performance, he could accidentally ingest it through his nose, which is more likely bc he moves around a lot bc of dancing several ppl have gone to the hospital for that

there's also the rolls on your stomach = fat nonsense. everyone has rolls on their stomach, whether they are fat or thin. that shit fucked me up a bit bc i was insecure abt having rolls on my stomach when in fact even very fit ppl have them. social media esp instagram has destroyed so many young ppl's self esteem and body image. speaking of bodies... yuna just uploaded a photo on ig. idk if this is just filter or a body procedure some users were speculating way back, coolsculpting i think. anyways, her waist here looks a lot smaller when compared to her waist in older photos...

well, stopping from starving yourself is still an improvement. baby steps, they say. also, once i found out the hell that female idols had to go through to get to such weight, it rlly made me realize that they were no better than i was and that they were still human, with flaws and all, and that they used to have "ordinary" (as in your typical bodies, not the overglamorized ones they've been forced to achieve) bodies before kpop forced them to conform. tbh, all this talk abt kpop ps and body issues has been great, since it opens our eyes and removes the veil of toxic perfection and makes us see that idols were once just ordinary folks like us, they've just gotten some "enhancements," and they were most likely not born exactly the way they look rn. i sincerely hope you'll get past that as i did

same, but not to your extent. i remember seeing the mvs for clc's pepe and aoa's heart attack and i saw how skinny they were, and i remember wanting to have a thigh gap as wide as theirs thankfully, i seemed to have grown past the want for thigh gaps, and i pretty much like having fuller thighs more.

yeah her old nose (albeit also an implant) did suit her more bc it looked a lot more natural (the tip was also a lot more rounded, adding to its naturalness). she did not need to have her nose implant switched for that godawful ski slope l-shaped one. seriously, animesque/cgi features are the trend for idol visuals now.

so far the ones i know of that do not have much of a down time are nose fillers and the one u mentioned...

i have a feeling she had her eye corners cut now, but somehow left her eyelids (since her monolids are part of her appeal). not sure tho.

i saw her in the xfactor (or was it the voice?) and her face looked plump and very tight with barely any expression lines and movement. in terms of being delulu abt ps, arianators are not too far behind from kpop stans.

would anyone be able to tell me if some noses can normally do this: she is massaging her nose but the whole nose itself seems to be moving? i tried doing it to my nose but my nose is pretty stationary and doesn't move. is this just a quirk of some noses or is it something else?

i think it's her height that may have been edited. correct me if i'm wrong, but part of the beauty standards in korea (for women) is standing at 5'5" or 165cm and above. they prolly just wanted to add a centimeter to make her height a bit more extraordinary/above the standard.

i'm just stating xiaotong as an example of one of china's skinniest celebs, and also to prove my point that female chinese celebs are almost always skinnier than the female celebs in korea. afaik, that photo you might be referring to was taken sometime in 2019, but she used to be slightly "thicker" (if were looking at the arms as basis), but still skinnier than your average gal. she had netizens bully her at some point for looking "robust" so she's been steadily losing even more weight despite being already rlly skinny. those three celebs i mentioned are proof of china's concerning obsession with skinniness.
