it's bc they wanna be youthful but at the same time don't wanna be considered "fat" (i noticed that knetz would prolly be more accepting of fat on idols if it grew somewhere else that's not the stomach, arms, face or waist). i remember how they bullied xiumin years ago for having "chubby cheeks" (they even thought he was fat even though he was not) to the point that he lost so much weight anyways, they don't realize it's the facial fat that is mostly doing the heavy lifting at keeping us young lmao.

okay so u know how the general consensus for sejeong's jaw is that she got a jaw shave, right? i came across this gif (the gif is quite steamy so open it if you dare ) i looked at her jaw and she seems to have a jaw mandible now, which has given me two possibilities: 1.) she possibly never shaved her jaw and 2.) she eventually became unhappy with the jaw shave result and pulled a jaehyun and had a jaw implant placed in the mandible area (quite recently i'm assuming). i'm personally leaning towards 2, tbh. i thought it might've been bc she has a tiny/small face which results in a more subtle/shorter jaw mandible that could be mistaken for a jaw shave result so i tried comparing her 3/4 view with another idol who also has a small face (and here's the comparison): another example of someone with a short/tiny face is ju jingyi (whom i mentioned earlier). she still has her jaw mandible as well: so the length/size of the head is not exactly a factor. i also thought it could be bc sejeong does not rlly have a strong defined jaw/weak jaw and her skin is covering her jawline, so it's quite easy to assume she's had jaw reduction since the jaw mandible is not so clearly seen, so i decided to look up selena gomez as an example (she is known to have a small face and an undefined/soft jawline like sejeong), but we can see that selena still has her mandible angle despite all that: so i still think that she rlly did have her jaw shaved and what we had seen is not just an illusion caused by her head length/size or lack of jaw definition (judging by the comparison pics) she may have eventually became unhappy with the result so she may have had a jaw implant inserted like jaehyun did. which is why the first possibility i mentioned is not a very plausible scenario to me.

i looked at the gif in 2016 and the last gif... her cheekbones seem a lot more prominent in 2016. fillers perhaps? i could be just tripping but her cheeks seem to be getting fuller but less flexible as time passes by.

i think she (yeji) already had a rhinoplasty before debuting. i saw her older pics and it seemed that her nose was a lot more bulbous before compared to her nose in debut. anyways, rosé's work was pretty well done imo. double eyelid surgery, epicanthoplasty, lateral canthoplasty, rhinoplasty with an implant, chin implant, and some fillers to her cheeks and lips (some of these were mentioned in lorry hill's vid). i also see a subtle lip corner lift. her hairline looks slightly sus to me too (it looks like there's a bit more forehead space, but i could be just tripping).

she's not a kpop idol, but i've always been interested in ju jingyi's possible procedures. she keeps on denying that she's had ps (incl her own fans ofc), but i think otherwise. apparently this is what she used to look like: and now, the after: and a side by side comparison: i suspect she's gotten a zygoma reduction (cheekbone reduction), lower blepharoplasty (the lower part of her eyes looks a lot smoother) nose implant (that nose is suspiciously high and pointy), a chin implant (her chin is a lot longer and pointier now, and it has given her face somewhat of an egg shape), and possibly masseter muscle botox (considering her jaw mandible is still there but in front view, her jaw has slimmed down to a v-shape). her eyes look a lot bigger/more open too, compared to her smaller, more foxlike eyes from before, so i suspect epicanthoplasty and lateral canthoplasty. she may have possibly had eyelid surgery too to further enhance the double eyelids she already had. anyways, i think her work was pretty well done, and she def looks like she could've competed with kpop visuals had she been a kpop idol.

it kinda pisses me off that idols get hate for ps to fit beauty standards, but when they don't get ps to fit the beauty standards, they still get hate. damn if u do, damn if u don't.

in that case, based on the photos, perhaps the only way i'd be able to tell it apart from natural eyelids is: it's unusually deep and/or even. not saying it'd be a foolproof method, but i went checking other idols'/celebs' eyelids and tried to compare them to these surgical eyelids and that was the only difference i'd seen so far.

hmm, i can still see it tho, even with the eyeshadow... that being said, it's not quite fair for them to present a photo with the patient clearly having eye makeup on. of course it's a lot more challenging to point out eyelid surgery when there's eye makeup.

xiaoting is one of kep1er's visuals right? i think somebody in here talked abt how being a visual is actually one of the most pressuring positions in a group bc with every new visual in a group that debuts, the visual competition gets harsher and harsher. if she is, then there is already intense pressure from the start for her to maintain her looks. even if there is a chance she may have started out natural, i wouldn't be surprised if she starts getting more and more procedures down the line to compete with the other equally beautiful visuals (she's out here "battling" the likes of wonyoung, yuna, miyeon, shuhua, winter and sullyoon while also being compared to 3rd gen beauties like irene, tzuyu, and jisoo. i can only imagine how much this would possibly mentally screw her over and tempt her into getting procedures to keep up). it's inevitable at this point.

shindong prolly got fillers someplace else (not in the fleshier parts of his face), like the nose or lips.

i do see a bit of change in his eyelids tho. although he already had double eyelids before, i noticed they were quite uneven (the other eyelid was more tucked in compared to the other). in the after, both look quite even with the typical double eyelid incision shape you see on idols.

speaking of fat, it scares me how skewed korea's perception of fatness is. it made me think back to that video asian boss uploaded interviewing korean women and their perception of weight or smth. one girl in particular shocked me bc she thought she needed to lose weight bc she thought her cheeks were too fat for her liking; meanwhile the rest of her body was already pretty much slim. rlly makes you think just what the hell did their society drill into the minds of these young girls...

the case with somi and vernon is bc of xenophobia (fear/hatred of foreigners). yes, they naturally have features that are coveted by many koreans, but koreans easily overlook that bc somi and vernon are not fully korean and grew up outside korea so xenophobic koreans don't like them regardless. as with hwasa and swan, well, they still get bullied even tho they got curves bc they are not "skinny enough" for koreans/general public (their thighs esp are considered "too big" for korean beauty standards). they are far more accepting of "curvy girls" if they are slim; proof of that is how knetz talk abt tzuyu and seolhyun's hourglass figures all the time. tzuyu and seolhyun are basically the koreans' acceptable version of a "curvy girl": they are skinny, but they have that hourglass figure. it's crazy.
