NN was the one who retained most of her original features(they worked really well on enhancing her "base face", not changing it altogether), so she looks the most normal/natural of the bunch. Giselle comes right next and I think she also looks really normal with lighter makeup. Imo Winter is the most uncanny of them all. I know everybody says is Karina, but Karina's jaw was already pretty weak, so they just enhanced that(although I'm totally against jaw work if not for medical reasons). Other than that she just did her eyes and nose, that already looked nice. Winter on the other hand has been struggling with her nose. Every era they rework it and it messes it up even more. Also, the botox doesn't help and you can see her difficulty on opening her mouth or over enunciating words. I also wonder how much their lack of comebacks doesn't stem from the members not being able to be seen in public because of cosmetic complications(even tho GTB really messes their scheduele as well)

Most SNSD members should've stopped changing their features around that time imo. It is crazy to think that Taeyeon's visuals were loved since debut, yet she still felt the need to change almost all of her features.

The craziest thing is that a lot of people though Wendy was a visual around Happiness/Be natural so, while I get that SM as a company is obsessed with tweaking even the most perfect faces, Wendy has had some of the worst changes. The biggest mistake imo was that they chose to change the very features that made her stand out(face shape, nose and mouth area), but even after a lot of changes she was still recognizable, which is not the case of her most recent face. I think if she gets a revision that reversed the ski lope situation she has going on right now it would make her face more harmonious(just like when Yuna got rid of her silicone implant and went back to a nose closer to her natural one).

I think Chaewon re-did her eyes to achieve more dramatic double eyelids and had a subtle nose job post Izone, but that's it. The scar people accused of being from a boob job is really ill placed and considering she has had top quality procedures I find really hard to believe she would go to a doc who would butch her procedure to this extent. Plus, her new volume really does look to be just padding, cause when she wears more plunging outfits she's still small.

IMO both SY and TY should've stopped changing their features around 2011 and only really upkept their looks. Still SY seems better than Taeyeon these days, even with her overboard lip fillers, the jaw work did a number on TY skin's elasticity and overall took away her freshness. Eunji still looks good, but I liked her previous nose much better as it suited her face more

Seeing them together has been very special for me as a longtime Sone, but it also became very jarring. Before their hiatus the members looked very cohesive and more or less the same size(not height wise, but you get what I mean), but in this promo they looked mismatched somehow. Taeyeon and Tiffany lost a lot of weight and Yoona and Sooyoung had a new healthy glow with their recent weight gain, while Yuri seemed to have finally found peace with her body; so they looked very different. Taeyeon only had one other period of looking so tiny(2016), but recently she looks even smaller

She started using lip filler in her drama Private Lives and continued to regularly get them done. In her most recent drama, Jinxed at first, she already had them extra plumped and you can even see a bit of filler migration on the border of her lips. Seohyun is an interesting case cause, while she never really changed her original features, she only really started to have more drastic changes after she became a full time actress(weight loss and lip fillers), cause while she was an idol she only really used facial fillers that didn't seem to agree with her body that well.

Judy Garland used these and teeth prosthetics when she was shooting The Wizard of Oz. It's called non-intrusive, but I honestly would rather just get under the knife then use those, it seems very uncomfortable tbh. Ateez HongJoong uses these too apparently, so I don't think it's that farfetched of a theory.

I think that some of the work(and weight loss too) were first instigated by Izone's management, cause all members lost a good amount of weight and many got similar procedures, but Starship took over in order to perfect her image ahead of IVE's highly anticipated debut. Starship definitely went off board with the filler usage with more than a couple of idols, but they are really fixated on IVE's perfect visuals image and that is shown on how all the members had quite a lot of work done considering their ages. Gaeul is the member with the least amount of work done, but she recently showed up with a bloated over filled face, so I'm pretty sure these changes are instigated by the company, and after being told countless times how much better you would look with certain things done most people would cave in. Also, especially in recent years, Kpop is not about looking good, it's about looking as good as you possibly can and Wonyoung, or even Yuna, are the clear examples of that culture

On Girls Day One Fine Day Sojin and Yura show their skincare routines, but no specifics on the brands of the products(you can try to take a guess at the products tho, since you can see the packaging clearly). Other than that I see them talk about going to the dermatologist and using sunscreen a lot, but it's a given they're all getting vitamin C shots, microneedling and peeling routinely

I think she will be fine, but definitely will need to keep getting procedures to upkeep that look(mainly face lifts). For older idols with jaw shaves we have IU, Yoona, Jessica and Han Sunhwa and for the most part they seem to be maintaining their looks quite well. Still, we don't know the effects this surgery might cause when they become seniors for example

Does anybody know what has Sooyoung done to her face recently? I know she's been messing around with her nose since predebut and she has been experimenting with lip filler as of recently, but she looks really stiff and different in the pic she posted on Insta. She kinda looks like Taeyeon+Wendy(power up era) in this picture. I never thought she looked similar to these two, but her ayes and mouth are totally SM style. Overall she is a dead ringer of Taeyeon circa 2013.

Hey, longtime lurker of the thread...I don't think I need to actually get ps cause I'm quite satisfied with how my face looks, but I know that by Kpop standards it wouldn't be nearly enough, so I wondered about this as well. I think they'd suggest me alarplasty(cause my bridge is already tall, but my nose is too wide by their standards), forehead implant or filler to give it a rounder look, hairline revision(I have Suzy's old forehead, small and with a lot of hair), canthoplastly(cause I have double eyelids, but my eyes are too round), under eye filler and I'm not sure what route they'd go with my cheeks(I have chubby cheeks, but depending on the agency they like it so idk), I have a very weak jawline and an oval face shape, so I don't think any changes would be needed(unless I joined SM or smt). Also curious to see what people would say for themselves.
