The 4th gen MAMA performances were lacking individually. They should have done a group performance together and Karina was set up going after Wooyoung. Who, arguably had the best performance out of all six of them.

I don't think IVE is going it be very different from other 4th gen K-Pop girl groups. Unless they release good songs this group is just going to be tall pretty girls that make music. The debut song had some nice parts minus the weird slowed down part but overall very basic from the music video. In the music video every member got a close-up while they delivered their line and the basic group shots. And the thumb bite dance move that they do while they sing the chorus is kinda cringey. Though Liz, Yujin, and Wonyoung are the standouts and they caught my attention the mosts.

IU's jaw is low-key infamous (at least to ME) for getting shaved.
Sadly, Taeyeon also got her jaw shaved, and tbh it was so unnecessary. Taeyeon was really cute beforehand, and she still is (loml!), but the work she keeps getting is just unsettling. My guess is that the two still use fillers every now and then, but the shave's highly evident.
Winter and Taeyoen really do favor each-other with the black and blonde hair.

I'm not surprised that BTS and TXT aren't very close because BTS was the prime breadwinner and main group for HYBE. The BTS and TXT interaction videos seem so cringe because the members apparently haven't interacted much. With BTS having a very hectic schedule and TXT being busy as-well it's expected that they don't have a bond like some EXO and NCT members. I think it would be cool to see HYBE groups interact like the SM Town family does but each company has a different history. Some Red-velvet, NCT, and EXO members were in Sm rookies and got to know each other pre-debut. I can only imagine that Enhyphen and TXT members would be friends due to being trainees around the same time.

I would not have recognized this as Xuanyi if it hadn't been retweeted by a WJSN account
The hair is very different for her and I can't figure out if something else has changed.
She looks more Korean now for some reason. Obviously she's not Korean. Is it just the hair?? Or maybe she got PS in Korea lol
I'm not really familiar with WJSN members but has her chin always been that sharp and pointy.

Managers of K-Pop groups are making McDonald's cashier salaries. That being said I'm not surprised managers are selling information to saesangs because managers have stressful duties and all that just to get paid $11.00. If I was a manager and a Lee Ming Soo would pay me $3000 to get a feet pic of their bias. Hell yeah I'm doing it.

Reactothek is just not the same without the reactors from Season 1 and 2. I know that some of the older reactors have graduated and stuff but I miss Hugo, Shimon, and Peyton. I remember back when I discovered the channel in 2016 and it was really cool to see classical musicians react to K-Pop. But, I'm still very happy for Umu's channel growth and impact on K-pop youtube.

Actually I think the Brazilian fans were the ones making racist comments towards Fatou on Twitter and leaving comments on her Instagram. I hope no one leaves the group and they can still make music, "Close To Me" was a bop.

If Winter had gone to Kyungsoo's surgeon it would have been legendary. She and Chaewon could have played up the resemblance more, as it is it only exists in predebut photos. I've said it before but I think that SM's over the top surgery decisions with Aespa have to do with they want Winter and Karina to look like racially ambiguous video game characters rather than letting them have their girl-next-door kdrama look. Giselle was lucky that her face adapted well and Ningning that she already well known so they didn't want to change her too much.
Yeah I feel like they want Karina and Winter to resemble their AE characters which look very European.

I'm watching clips from the show "Let Me In" and sometimes the contestants end up looking very plastic. This women for example looks in pain while she's trying to smile. I think its really nice that the surgeons will correct jaw deformities but some of the contestants end up looking like completely different people.

Since Mina was proven to be fabricating the bullying going down in AOA, I'm taking a neutral position with the Fatou/ Leia bullying scandal.

K-Pop idols rarely show their true personalities on camera but when they do its quite funny. Their masks will slip and it just serves as a reminder that idol's personalities are manufactured. With that being said I can just sense when an idol is usually not a nice person and certain comments that they make will prove it as-well. We can never know if some of these idols are truly decent human beings. Sometimes they make backhanded comments towards their group members and fans will laugh it off as savage and witty. In the behind the scenes videos the energy and tension between some groups is too off. But it's understandable since before idols debut they are trainees competing with other trainees for a position in the group. I really want to know some of the tea on what happens during the pre-debut era because it must be ruthless.m
Fans will write comments about how their faves must be so close and best friend's. When idols see their group mates as co-workers at best. I've only felt that in a few groups all members had a really great bond. In NCT there is certainly tension between some members and some cliques. I feel even the same way when I look at Loona and Twice. So I don't expect members in large groups to all be best friends. The same could be said for small groups like Miss A and Big-bang.

It's called thread lifting and it's very common skin treatment for celebrities. It's newer and gives better results than a traditional face lift.
Is this the procedure Giselle was rumored to get before Next Level Promotions?

I just finished episode 8 and the main actress looked so pretty with her hair down + the soft makeup. I can't believe she confessed to the eunuch that she liked Rowoon but then sadly stated that's the only happiness she will have before being married. Also, how the hell is she going to marry a women and "provide" an heir. Chaeyeon's character seems nice but a bit naive, is this her first acting job? I feel that Caheyeons character will become very smitten with the Prince and end up heartbroken once she finds out he is a women. The former Queen did not clearly think through this plan, if her daughter is supposed to be the Crown Prince for the rest of his life shouldn't there be more people in on the secret. Maybe a royal physician to give bs excuses as to why the Prince can't have children and another trusted official. Overall I just feel sorry for the main character she was thrust into royal politics by a family that didn't "want" her. I hope they find a Crown Princess Consort that isn't crazy or gets jealous.

Anytime I'm watching Aespa and NCT Tiktoks, their skin looks so pale with no texture on their skin whatsoever.

Whew I just finished episode six and seven. Rowoon was sad to hear his first love was dead but the Crown Prince had the book he gave her. Put two and two together Rowoon. I can sense that Rowoon's father is definitely going to betray the grandfather down the line. He looked hesitant when he was asked to kill the physician assistants and maybe Rowoon might change his mind. I can't believe the grandfather wants to build an army and rebel... what a shock there. The Ming envoy character is a hot head that needed a beating for cutting the court lady's hair. The King shouldn't have been disappointed in the Crown Prince but rather proud of him for standing up to the envoy. Also, Byungchan is starting to catch feelings for the Crown Prince but he is least likely going to end up with the Prince. The irony of the envoy saying the Crown Prince was born with a silver spoon. When the cousin clenched his fist thinking that Rowoon likes the Crown Prince
, he needs to find a girl that he's preferably not married to.

The Unpopular Opinions Thread (Read OP)

SM girl groups are kind of lacking when it comes to dance skill and choreography especially with aespa + Redvelvet . With groups like Super Junior, EXO, and NCT the large size of the members makes the choreography look good effortlessly. With having five member groups it is easier to scrutinize the dancing when only five or less people are on stage. Anytime I watch an Aespa or Redvelvet stage its easy to notice one member doing a move wrong and having lack of energy. This is why Gfriend got so much praise for their synchronized dance moves. SNSD had nine members so the cheerleader effect came into play even though they're not a dance focused group. But, SNSD did have a really solid dance line with good performers. It's also difficult to do intricate line formation or cool dance tricks with an even number but, Gfriend did that well too. The split dance move that they do in "Me Gustas Tu" and the clock move in "Rough" are some of the most memorable dance moves in K-Pop. Itzy is another five member group that has four good dancers and are very charismatic especially Yuna and Yeji.
SM girlgroups kind of struggle with having good performers. I think that one of the reasons why Redvelvet were noticeably behind in popularity with their fellow third gen girl-groups like BlackPink and Twice is becuase Seulgi would hard carry some performances. Wendy and Joy would occasionally pick up the slack but compare that to the Jennie and Lisa duo. Twice off the bat has Jihyo, Momo, and Nayeon that always bring it in their performances. Aespa could really use another member or two that excel in dancing.
