I really forgot to post this but I wanted to talk about this weeks ago When I see that first picture I got fucking scared. He looks gaunt. His face is bony. Like even on stage his face looks sunken in even when the camera apparently „adds“ weight to you. Also I think we had established that his nose skin is thining out and therefor you can see the implant but I did not think it would be THAT visible from a rather grainy, zoomed in picture. Could that also be the weight loss or just a natural thing that comes with time? I feel like Yoongi is also unneccessary skinny. I believe someone had brought up that he had his cheekbone shaved after/before debut, so if you take that as a real statement, how skinny do you have to become for your shaved down cheekbones to have become prominent again? also to that extent. I feel like he‘s debut style skinny again. I just really dislike in what direction all that is going. The whole band is super thin right now and has been for a while.

If this gets blown up on social media, I can already smell the lawsuit.... This is such a slimy tactic to get cloud, I do hope they get sued by Hybe. It's very unlikely that we ever will truly know if Yoongi is gay or not, though he did give hints in his earlier idol years but now as bts have grown even over the idol status and have become much more private, I doubt that we'll ever know any of the guys sexualities, maybe when they marry. I absolutly get that and agree very much with you. About the Nasser Mohammed Interview: It is insane to me how far they go to actively 'hunt' for the lgbt people. Like it is one thing to have homophobic laws (many countries were not neccesarry against lgbt but they also only in recent years started inplementing laws supporting lgbt) but it is a whole other thing to literally hunt anyone who could be associated with lgbt, insanity. I do think to fix the issue Sanctions are the right way, Quatar speaks the language of money the best, if they suddenly start loosing it, they might think over if being homophobic on an institutionised level is a good idea in such a modern and ever changing world.

I have to say depending in what country you live or what your personal interests are you might never actually see the controvery or care to find out more as football lies so far out of your interest zone, it was like that for me until I saw Jungkook being associated with it (who is indeed of interest to me) so I started to educate myself about the issue and choose to not support Jungkook in the world cup. But many fans might not have actually known that there was a controversy at all regarding Quatar or if they did they simply didn't care and are too deep in the fandom in realise that there is an issue. If you step out of line in twitter, when you're unlucky a lot of people with big accs will come after you, so better keep quiet, stay ignorant in your little bubble or come to a more niche platform to talk about this, like I did. I'm not trying to protect anyone but it is very hard to speak out against the artists in this fandom.

Ik that is not part of the discussion but idk if Germany is a great example to give since the actual football team failed to do the boycott because the were not allowed to wear the ''one love'' armband and didn't wanna risk getting a yellow card, so they didn't do it. Instead they just put a hand over their mouth and called it a day. The people of germany are doing better job with protesting against that, that I agree with you, but I still don't see that having a great impact on the event tbh

This skinnness thing is getting out of hand, it's crazy that this trends even creeped into some of the most successfull and established idols in the Industry. Bts were always very skinny, in my opinion (but so is literally everyone in this industry from my pov lol), yet it is getting every extreme and I feel like I can see that best in Jungkook. His face has not looked this skinny in a long time and I wonder if the way his body is right now is sustainable?. In what direction are they going? How will this end? The industry right now is a breeding group for eating disorders and a fucked relationship with food, and if even senior idols cave under that pressure to get skinnier and skinnier I do not wanna know what rookies are undergoing right now.

This discussion has turned rather pointless, we don't know if he had say in this or not. I personally think it was a desicion that Hybe took and Jungkook most likely didn't object as it would benefit him and the company. The truth tho is that we don't know anything about this situation, we only know the outcome, which is him performing there. So just pining opinions agianst opinions doesn't really make this thread more interesting in any way.

That makes a lot of sense, I didn't see it from that perspective before. It is interesting, I didn't know that RM was so against english songs, I do remember the american interview where they kept asking if bts would do english songs and him not looking very excited about the question, but it never occured to me that he disliked it a lot. I'm not sure I understand you right but why is anything suppossed to have changed now that they are going solo? they are still under the same company and same contract, their actions will have effects on bts if they want or not. While I agree with the point that they have grown and are recognized as big artists which consequently would lead to more freedom in some aspects of their life, they still are bound to an contract, for as long as they have signed it or as long as bts as a group stays alive. Now we don't know what these contracts state but I am not expecting that hype would be trilled if their biggest artists got muddled into political issues or conroversies. As I know how threads on here are: I am not trying to excuse hype or bts for not speaking out/participating in the quatar world cup but it could become quite messy for hybe to get involved in that, especially since they had no issue letting bts perform in countries with similar politics. Ergo their silence makes sense.

I just wanted to bring him up. He still seems to be dieting very hard, I’m honestly not sure how much thinner he can go. The other members often said his body fat percentage was in the single digits, I wonder why he still is so restictive still. You are absolutly right, male idols get disregarded a lot more while they have as many issues with disordered eating as female idols do.

I know what you are saying and I agree with it 100% but the example you gave seems to be an exeptions rather than the norm, I feel like. I haven’t seen anyone do what he did before and I like to think this extreme doesn’t happen very often, where someone implies being homosexual while being inherently against it and outright says so.

As someone who’s lgbt I always found accusing idols of queerbaiting really unnessecary. Like it literally is none of our business what any idols sexuality is (yet we are discussing it here every day lol), they could be gay, or questioning or simply not have a label and people out here are like “yeah that’s queerbaiting”. Even if it is queerbaiting, I’m sorry but like does anyone care? cuz I don’t find in issue with that at all (if we don’t know if the person is straight). We don’t know anyones sexuality and yet people are accusing others of queerbaiting when we don’t know if the person is straight in the first place. Just weird and gatekeepy statement to make tbh

Can you share some pics regarding Namjoon? I was always assuming all of bts (and also the whole kpop industry) do fillers but in the case of Joon it never stood out to me, I think I was too concentrated on his nose.

I just really wish young idols like Yuna would slow down with all the procedures, if you're going that fast at 18 what will you do at 25? 30? My guess is that Yuna is going for a more adult, also potencially a more western look? Like you said it's not very common in idols to see strong features like this, most strive for soft, feminine and young features while she is trying to get rid of her young and soft feature. While in the west you often see models with strong jaws and cheek bones.
