I was temped bc last year so many popular groups came but I heard from friends that went and on twitter that the organisation of the event was a mess. I guess the shitty organisation even became evident to the idols bc there are many more unknown groups performing this year. Guess the event couldn't pull big league groups again.
(Still kinda tempted to go for Kepler tho...)

People upset by it don't realise that WE made them plastic monsters, mindlessly praising idols bodies, posting very obvious unhealthy bodies/new face surgery with "look how pretty
" and sharing airport fancams to break their spirits. Calling Karina/Taeyeon goddess and you're surprised every other girls undergo surgery to feel worthy of dancing and singing. The so called 'pressure' comes from inside the house, and it's not 'body positivity and my free body choices' when you're encouraging others to harm themselves btw
your tone irks me so much, literally just don't call them monsters???

My heart stopped when I saw the news, I genuinly thought someone was making a sick joke at first. I‘m so hearbroken.
We say this every time it happens but nothing ever changes and I‘m fucking sick of it. There are some factors at play here but a huge part of it is the hate. Young people shouldn‘t have to die for fans to understand that they need to be decent people to idols.
I‘m so fucking angry and sad, this should not have ended like this.
My condolences to his friends and family.
May Moonbin rest in peace.

I think it's because stage names are trademarked by the companies
off topic but what would happen if an idol had debuted with their real name? would they not be able to re-debut with it even if it's their actual name?

damn we're all down bad lmao
I also cover my mouth when laughing and also do the 'wooah' sound when I'm impressed, happy etc.. I cringe when I realize I'm doing both bc I don't wanna look like a koreaboo...

After spending a day with a friend (ca. 6 hours and plus) my social battery gets to 1% and stays there for max of 2 days (while with another person), after that I give out. Tbh Covid destroyed my social battery.

Does anyone know anything about Hwang Soyoon? People on twitter saying she's gay but idk what their opinion is based on

Genuinely the only member who doesn't do this kind of outright fanservice or flirty stuff is Hoseok. He's the one who reins in the fanservice by others as well (this was evident when they were pushing Sope back in the day).
Not to sound like every professor ever but can you expand on that? like with examples

personally i thought his verse was a bit misogynistic
but from what i read about the internet people weren't vibing so much on the collab so idk, maybe he was on there to help hype it
tbh i really don't see it but everyone has their own interpretation, I think though that he is smart enough to not openly be misogynistic since his name has been associated with misogyny before... (I'm not a fan of his verse it didn't fit the song but I really liked the rest of the song, he probably was on the track to hype it, I agree)
but to be on topic in the thread, I really liked the discussions we had about Namjoon on here, the boyfriend thing was super interesting (also I wonder what happened to the guy, they haven't been seen together in a while right?). Anyone have some new/different takes?

All we can do is hold our breaths and wait to see who'll stay and who'll leave.
I'm not surprised members of GG are not happy with the situation and are loyal to LSM.
Oh well, since there's still turmoil and scandal going on SM/Kakao/HYBE saga, anticipate a new girl group from SM very soon. They have a habit of using them as band-aids to distract the public.
kinda hope for them to fast-forward Aespa's comeback instead of a new group, also that would be much more subtle than how they did it last time

@DDiddy i was honestly really surprised to see NAMJOON getting involved with the fanservice
my exact thoughts, he isn't the type to do that so I wonder what exactly changed?

Spoiler
I'm so sick and tired of being always the one to ask my friends to hang out and meet. It feels like I am the only one interested in actually seeing them and spending time with them. Just one time I want someone to care about me as much as I care about them. I know I won't be any of my friends first pritority, but I want to be in a high position at least. Should it not be like this when you are close to someone?
I always fucking chase people that don't want me and I fucking hate it. Most days I wanna pack my shit, and move to Alaska to escape this shit. Fuck having friends. I wish I could endure being alone.

I'm glad some people here have brought up the same point I've been thinking. Hybe is being painted as the ''evil'' side in this situation which bothers me. I do not think there is a good side in this conversation. This is a power battle between two huge companies who which to expand their influence, I hardly expect either of them to be any mind of moral. I'm not a fan of either company but I've only seen Hybe be shit on so continously by everyone.
Another point, Monopoly is the wrong term to use here (this has been irritaing me to hell). A Monopoly is when there is a single company that has the biggest influence on the market. A Oligopol is when there are a few companies who each have a huge influence on the market, they kinda share the power, so to speak. The kpop industry is (and has been for years) a oligopol. I'm not sure why it is so suddenly becoming an issue when this is the way kpop has been for years?
(This was a rather short explanation with simple terms, anyone who actually is interested can look up all that market stuff to fully grasp all correct terms.)

At the end of the day both Kakao and Hybe are huge companies trying to expand, so I don't see an ''obvious'' or ''right'' direction this whole mess could go. I'd like to see what SM would be like without LSM but I'd also really like to see what Hybe would change in that company.
Regarding this letter by the employees I'm wondering if they are shooting themselves in the foot with that statement, the wording is not doing them any favors. As far as I know there is still an injuction coming up, now is a time to be careful with what you put out into the world as an SM employee...

I saw that kpoprocedure posted something about Yoongi which strenghted my fleeting thought that he looks somewhat different. My first instinct would be that he touched his eyes (maybe widened the outer corners?) or did something to his jaw.
I tried to find fan taken pics from the last concert, here's a thread:
edit: I just realized kpoprocedure themselves posted a much better quality pic in their story so that one might more telling than the concert photos.
