the song itself is pretty good but their voices are too loud and underproduced, small company things ig the girls aren't to blame for that. i like the rap part after the chorus too
-
meh just another noisy bg release, except the chorus, that's a little more severe than just noise. tbh after sticker nothing fazes me anymore forever mad that geonu didn't make it into enhypen
-
i loveeee superhuman. one of nct's best title tracks

[PC] [theqoo] MUSIC BANK WINNER'S ENCORE LIVE TODAY
peach0827 replied to pinkpanda_spirit's topic in Netizen Nation
yeah geonu got eliminated pretty early on and he was definitely one of the best vocalists there, if not the best. and i hate to say it but he probably got eliminated because he wasn't particularly attractive or interesting so fans didn't care about him and he got eliminated during a global voting (i-land had an interchangeable elimination system where one week it was based on global votes and one week based on the coaches' vote). he's debuted in a group now (just b) but they're nugu, so he probably would've been better off in enhypen. and yeah i don't think hybe were looking for vocals at all. i think enhypen was supposed to be a strong dance group and they weren't looking for amazing singers. tbh even if you listen to enhypen's music so far, none of it showcases their vocal ability much, it's pretty autotuned and produced so their vocals don't really stand out because of all the background noise and pitch altering. it's like their voices are deep-fried lol i hope it doesn't become a trend for companies to debut strong dancers and weak vocalists. of course in the kpop industry dancing and vocals are both important but good vocals should be a given. txt were (are?) in a similar position but i do think they improved a lot since debut. tbh bighit needs to get their artists better vocal training (and needs to stop debuting people who are tone deaf). i hope the female i-land that's coming next year will have some more emphasis on vocals and not so much on dance. -
i've been into kpop since late 2016/early 2017 but until like early last year i only cared about 2-3 groups and only listened to their music, because i just didn't care about anyone else and couldn't be bothered to check them out. like i knew about a lot of groups and could maybe name a song or two, but i just didn't listen to any of their music except certain songs if they were popular in the community (like blackpink/twice title tracks, nct regular, pentagon shine,... songs everyone knew about) the regret really hit me when i was listening to izone's music for the first time and i thought "damn i really could've enjoyed these masterpieces before they disbanded". so mad at myself smh

Which male idols do you think are gay?
peach0827 replied to cold soba's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
i think the "sunoo was popular with girls" thing makes people think he was one of those gay guys that has only girl friends and hangs around girls a lot, hence why it'd make sense that he'd be more comfortable with girl stuff like periods because he would be exposed to conversations about it more. at least from what i've seen irl, gay guys are more open about period talk than straight guys. but honestly we don't even know if this pad thing is true so it could be made up and none of this matters lol -
girl even if he didn't budge when you argued with him don't you dare pay 50% don't let them throw you around like that you pay your 1/3, period point blank. there's 3 of you and you pay your share. if they don't stop causing difficulties, give the 1/3 to your landlord and tell him this is your share and the other two have to figure out the rest themselves.

i think aespa are an incredible group in the sense that they have insane visuals but also really good vocals. i think that's what made them so successful so fast. idk why my expectations were lower tbh maybe because these days there's a lot of groups debuting that have great visuals but mediocre singing skills. aespa are the full package

Which male idols do you think are gay?
peach0827 replied to cold soba's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
this entire thread is based on stereotyping to an extent so idk why it's only a problem when we do it towards straight guys. but yeah, the general idea is that a 14 year old straight boy would be put off by periods because that's usually how immature 14 year old boys are. note how i said "usually". i said it's not a typical thing for 14 yo boys to do, that isn't me saying no straight boy on earth would do that ever. also no one said a gay guy would have pads on him, the original poster said according to the rumour sunoo took a girl to the nurse's office, where there are pads. -

Which male idols do you think are gay?
peach0827 replied to cold soba's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
awh sunoo if the pad thing is true that's so cute. and i agree, i don't think it's a typical thing for a straight teen boy to do. the problem with the kpop industry (especially locally, in korea) is that male idols are branded as the perfect boyfriend for their mostly female fans and that's how their fans act too. they act flirty with their idols and view them in a romantic way, hence why they'd lose their shit at the thought of their male idol not being interested in women, because then they wouldn't have a chance with him (as if they have a chance either way lol). i think this is more of a thing with kfans and the rest of asia though, western fans not that much. i wish fans would stop viewing idols this way. sunoo shouldn't feel the need to be a macho manly man just cause his female fans want to date him. if he does start changing his behavior i hope it's in a natural, growing up type of way and not because hybe is forcing him to due to the public's opinion. edit: let me add that for sunoo it's extra difficult bc i feel like hybe is branding enhypen in a very sort of... high school bad boy/ frat boy type thing? like if you look at the last two cbs they were very idk typical high school straight bad boy type of concept. drunk dazed was them at a party with girls getting drunk and lose and then this new one in october was them at a school gym tossing a ball to each other. lol sorry if this sounds dumb but i hope you know what i mean. so i think it must be even more difficult for him bc of that -
Which male idols do you think are gay?
peach0827 replied to cold soba's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
ikr i don't wanna push the "feminine=gay" stereotype but when i watched i-land, as soon as they first introduced him my gaydar pinged. i didn't know about the rumours but i can't see him having a gf at all. who knows though as for the ships, i think a mass majority of kpop ships make no sense lol 99% of the time it's fans being delusional and deeming every little affectionate action as romantic. -

maybe military service isn't too bad after all -
i don't have an opinion on the story itself but this could go both ways for him. though i think his story is slightly more severe than bullying accusations. some celebs recover from it (skz hyunjin, svt mingyu) and some get blacklisted (gidle soojin, nct lucas it seems like). this is why we shouldn't blindly worship any idol tbh we don't know who they are when the cameras are off. could be the biggest pieces of shit

Which male idols do you think are gay?
peach0827 replied to cold soba's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
sunoo reminds me of ten, everyone just collectively agrees that he's gay, no doubt about it. (obviously there is doubt lol we don't know for sure but yk what i mean) people joke about him having a crush on sunghoon cause he kept clinging onto him and wanting to be around him a lot during i-land. could just be that he sees him as an inspirational older hyung though. jay, jake, and sunghoon give me hardcore straight vibes. heeseung a little less so, but i still think he's straight. sunghoon is the ice skater you talked about. jungwon and niki i'm not 100% sure but i'm leaning more towards straight for both. as for who has homophobic tendencies, here's this clip of them reacting to sunoo's high pitched scream, skip to 4:36: not gonna comment further but their names in the order that they're sitting (from left to right) are: jay, heeseung, jungwon, sunoo, niki, jake, sunghoon. so make your own conclusion based on that -
i don't think so, i have never followed a recipe precisely according to measurements in my life. when i cook or bake it's a matter of me throwing random things in a bowl/pan, mixing them and hoping for the best.

what do you guys think about nct dream? i think they're definitely more natural than 127 but i can't decide whether they've got something done or not. i think jaemin's possible nose job (and other procedures) has been discussed here but other than that i haven't seen anything else. i feel like for them it's extra hard to tell because they were babies at debut, but i'm sussing jeno's nose and lips. his face hasn't changed that much but i think there's a difference that puberty probably couldn't have caused lol- 26,504 replies
