  1. Yeah, apparently Krystal is really shallow. I don't think she really has a consistent supported range or am I wrong?
  2. What do you guys think of this video. The creator's rlly nice btw. I do agree for the most part of this. I do disagree with some of their descriptions, like saying Rosé's and Jihyo's belts are strong. Also, the agility part is kind of questionable.
  3. Yeah, they do sound a bit tight but I like his timbre though. His F4s and F#4s sound kinda nice but sometimes sound a bit tense. I guess he is pretty average.
  4. Lia isn't better than Winter. I don't want to sound like an arse but she's nowhere near Winter. Winter is able to support between Bb3-Bb4. However, Lia is only relaxed most of the time which people often mistaken for being supported. And I kinda get that but there's no diaphragm engagement.
  5. Yuqi's more close to being grounded. She's just too tense.
  6. Wait Rookie 1O1 deleted their channel. Oh.
  7. What's his free range? Never heard of him before.
  8. I guess it's just someone who's rlly popular in the community who says it and a lot of people go along with it. Not trying to be shady but I remember when rookie 1O1 said that Ning Ning had very shallow A4s and G#4s and strained B4s and a lot of people agreed and went along with it. Yeah and the sub vocal supported range thing isn't as common but I guess it is still kinda annoying. I can get why they think that. Like for example, Chaeyoung sometimes (on rare occasions) sounds more relaxed that usual and people mistake that as shallow support. Same goes for Mina.
  9. Yeah, I heard Yechan is somewhat well grounded between G#3/A3-C5? Yeah and Aespa is pretty solid in terms of vocals, all of them can support (not too sure on Giselle yet though) which is pretty uncommon for kpop groups. And Winter is pretty underrated. I'm still confused on how people thought her support begun at B3 and ended at G4/G#4?
  10. Also the stan twitter guy (forgot his name) and his group are pretty decent compared to others in their gen.
  11. The only 4th gen groups I follow are Everglow and G idle. So for G idle. 1) Miyeon ( she has a degree of support between B3-G4(?) ) 2) Yuqi/Minnie 3) Soyeon 4)Soojin 5) Shu Hua. Everglow (I mainly watch their M/Vs and don't listen live that much) 1) Mia/ Shiyeon 2)Aisha or Onda 3) Eu 4) Then Yiren.
  12. I don't think they said that... Probably like 1 or 2 of the comments did say something like that. But most people were just mad about the toxicity.
  13. Hmm. I don't really know. I didn't learn from YT but... This lady seems decent
  14. Well, they're not wrong though. I guess we should tone it down a notch. Idk, how others feel with the dragging. I honestly didn't think that would happen that quick. But they did correct themselves. Like they believe Hyolyn is better than Wendy and Taeyeon and that Ning Ning's free range is G#3/A3-C5. But I honestly still feel like a massive dickward. Oh well, can't reverse that and that's my fault.
  15. They do like to talk a lot about weak vocalists and non vocalists. They do make analysis on some who don't have enough development to be analysed. I guess they just want to make weaker and 'terrible' vocalists look better or have more recognition???
  16. What's the subreddit for kpop VP? Genuinely curious.
  17. I don't know. Never been on reddit. It's very toxic.
  18. Yes, they do lurk here. Now I kinda feel rlly bad about. They said that they didn't like people insulting them as they get very anxious about it. I guess they're trying their best. But I honestly feel terrible about it now. Hmm but I guess it is kinda hard to accept to being wrong on your own channel when you have a community. But still though, I do believe that they should have done more accurate research rather than rely on sources from reddit ot Quora. Reading actual books and watching videos on identifying what strain, support and resonance is wouldn't hurt. I guess the main problem is that people don't know that VP is a science. Most of them treat it as if it is a theory.
  19. https://streamable.com/2qnsss Yikes... Redditor moment.
  20. I think they just say that they're not familiar with her because not many ppl have discussed her (Sunmi) vocal technique on the internet. I bet you they get most of their info from reddit. Ikr, it's hilarious.
  21. ikr it's rlly embarrassing. like just delete your channel. They know they don't know what they're talking about, I don't know why they continue.
  22. I remember them once saying (like a few months ago) that Ning Ning barely has B4s. And I swear they also once said Heejin was a mezzo-soprano and Minnie can support.
  23. yeah. It's a bit embarrassing. I think they hate me now probs cos of the way I comment on them. And they always say what I say is an opinion and what they say is a fact, yet they're the ones calling me a dick.
  24. I think it's safe to say that this person with worse than M radio, Rookie 101 and Reggie Vu.
