Many of them say that tbh. I guess they're just confused and misunderstood ig. I mean a quite a few of them get simply relaxed notes mistaken as supported. I mean it is okay to make mistakes. However, it's better to check and try to train your ears before making such claims and acting as if it is 100% fact. And I'm also pretty sure that Jihyo had better C5s at debut (even though none of them were supported).

The E5-F#5 in dream is very very strained yes. It's very gritty and throaty. On the love poem performance, she also pretty rough sounding (well some of it lol. Especially the Eb5 and 2:58. And the C#5 at 2:36 also didn't sound too nice. She sounded fine for the rest of it though ig

That was like a year ago, they even sent me a link of her Bb4s ( I can't exactly remember who the user was ) and they were nicely supported. That was also the same person that argued that Jisoo has support and that Jihyo's a mezzo. Idk if they were trolling or not but it was embarrassing. And they also thought Sohyang wasn't that good or overrated . They did change their mind about all of these eventually. I'm guessing they were just some confused 12 year old who just stumbled upon VP and started making weird and confusing statements.
