i feel like this is because he has more of a global fan base. one of the conditions jyp gave him to have solo activities was to not promote them in korea. so i don’t think his fans are the same as idols with k-fandoms strongly against dating also, someone else pointed out to me that him being able to speak english could also be another factor to his international appeal which makes sense to me
