With how BIG and DISASTROUS it was, I never thought people would able to talk about this matter very peacefully 6 years after lol.

This thread is a good read.

I was always in an akward position whenever it came to this topic, because I have been a Sica and Baekhyun fan since before any of the issues happened, and also didn't like Taeyeon (not in the way that I disliked her, I never held any ill feelings for her, it's just that she didn't attract me as an entertainer) and damn for years it felt like you can't mention any of those names together without accusations about you being made and hellfire starting so this thread feels like I'm getting therapy after years of all the fanwars.

Babymonsters is a okay name, for now. But imagine if they reach their 30s, Babymonsters will be awkward then.  I heard that some of the lineups are actually Chinese, who have made their appearances in Idol Producer 3. Not sure to what extent is this true.

Super junior may have proven that an embarrassing group name of the sort is auspicious, though

  3. Hi, I'm a j-rock fan first and a kpop fan second, and  I always wondered about how Korea has so many good vocalists compared to Japan. What are your takes on what exactly shapes a country's musical landscape like that ? I'm somewhat more educated on some of the factors that created japan's common singing style, but I'm curious about when and why Koreans began singing ballads in such an emotionally expressive yet technically adept way ? I used to think it's about their loves for ballads, but there are other ballad loving countries that don't make me impressed with their vocals.
