  1. Did Psy purposely choose Siwon cause he’s openly against gay marriage and made a joke out of it?
  2. Ok this will be my last post about the subject then regular programming can continue (i.e talking about sexuality). Ok I understand. Thanks for the explanation. It’s just that when things like this occur: He put the picture at the back of his phonecase. It must mean a lot to him. What does he mean by that? Does he feel “female” sometimes? Or he likes to express himself quite feminine-ly, while still identifying as male? Is he saying he feels genderfluid/non-binary or like a femboy? I’m pretty sure he’s not trans…he recently got an AstroBoy tattoo that he said represents himself, he really likes the crotch-grab dance move etc
  3. Thankyou! But then why did I get jumped earlier for merely suggesting Taeyong could be non-cis non-binary/genderfluid/gender-nonconforming/queer? If people can suggest someone may not be straight, why can’t I suggest someone may not be fully-cis non-binary/genderfluid/gender non-conforming/queer? ———————————————————— Edit: No I understand my mistake in saying the word “gay”. And for saying the word “gay”…when most of your non-cis friends like the same-sex? You specifically said “most non-cis people also aren’t straight”. Someone earlier told me “Which is silly because gnc, nb people don't have the same lived experience as gay people. Both are valid and both are also completely different. You can argue there is some overlap, but I think that overlap is smaller than you imagine. Sexual orientation and gender identity are separate things and should be adressed as such.” So not all gay people are non-cis but most non-cis non-binary/genderfluid people are gay (gay/les/bi/pan)? Edit: I forgot “non-cis” also includes trans people, who many are straight
  4. Has anyone considered Mr-Born-This-Way-tattoo could be non-binary? (I didn’t say non-binary initially because the word didn’t come to my mind, I didn’t do it on purpose). Also what are some of his “he is GAY, he is into men” receipts? Edit: Cause aren’t there also straight drag queens? Or is it that people who get a “born this way” tattoo are 99% of the time not straight (are bi, pan, gay), so Ren’s born-this-way tattoo is a big receipt? Do non-binary straight people get “born this way” tattoos? Or does he ping the gaydar from the way he talks/express/vibe like my doctor, Ten, or Mateo from Superstore (unlike Taeyong, who can kind of pass as straight gnc?). I’m not familiar with Ren, so I’m going to watch some of his videos. “Gay” should only be used for sexual orientation right? Edit: this isn’t a genuine question, I’m not playing dumb naive, memory-poor or trolling. I said this because born-this-way-drag-queen-extraordinaire doesn’t directly correlate with sexual orientation/being gay unlike i-like-men Sehun or that idol who was like “My ideal type is a boy like me”. Could Ren be non-binary and/or gnc?
  5. https://www.koreaboo.com/stories/nuest-ren-lonely-dating-confession/ An article from 2019 “NU’EST‘s Ren drew overwhelming attention by confessing on JTBC’s Hogu Chart that he always feels lonely.” “When fellow cast members expressed their surprise and asked why that was, Ren answered that he doesn’t know, but that he’s very lonely, and that he feels especially lonely before he goes to sleep.” “Ren then received a question regarding his dating life to which he revealed that he hasn’t dated in a really long time.” “In response, Jung Hyuk advised that his loneliness is probably because he’s not dating and that he should pursue it.” ”What followed was Ren going on to reveal his ideal type.” ”Rather than outer appearances, I want our personalities to be compatible. But if I had to specify a physical trait, I tend to like skinny girls.” – Ren I’m on the Ren-queer-train but I don’t follow him so I can’t recall any “attraction to men” receipts. Anyway if he is gay and said “skinny girls” to cover his ass, it’s still irresponsible/problematic of him. He could’ve said a lot of other things besides that
  6. I meant meant shy/awkward in an uncomfortable way, he was clearly uncomfortable. But it didn’t seem uncomfortable in a “gay way” I don’t know how to describe it. Anyway, I’m going to stop here.
  7. It’s not that he felt “awkward”, it’s him getting shy, his face getting hot, avoiding eye contact…he got flustered. “Wow! This is the first time that my voice is sexy…this feels like wow shy my face is getting warm whoa!” Do people not know how to read body language? Every single thing idols do in fancalls isn’t fake. Idols are human I don’t want people interpreting this as me saying Jisung appreciates what the girl did…she over-stepped the line. Edit: I meant shy/flustered in an uncomfortable way. He was clearly uncomfortable and I guarantee he’d rather that encounter not happen. The reason I put the funny Mark clip is just to show not all idol fancall reactions are fake/performative.
  8. I’m not sure if the lingerie thing is true because you can’t see the caller, but I remember her calling him “Baby” and saying “Your voice is sexy”. Ten/Jo Kwon/Key would’ve been like “that’s nice” *polite smile* *cricket noises* Here’s the video.I’ll leave it for a couple of days then delete it Alright, now watching it again I wouldn’t say it’s plain obvious he’s into women, but would a gay idol react like this (as a genuine reaction, not to just be nice or show they have a personality). Not a rhetorical question, I’m genuinely not sure.
  9. I saw this video on Twitter where a female fan was on a fancall with Jisung and talking sexually to him and apparently (Edit: could be a rumour because you can’t see the caller) she was in lingerie?!? Jisung was like “I’m/my face is getting hot” or something…it was awkward. It’s sexual harassment I don’t know how the call didn’t get cut. It’s probably hard to find the video now…rightly so, I wouldn’t want it out if I was Jisung. Anyway, the way he reacted…I would say it suggests he’s into women Edit: I think this is the video. I’ll leave it for a couple of days then delete. Alright, now watching it again I wouldn’t say it’s plain obvious he’s into women, but would a gay idol react like this (as a genuine reaction, not to just be nice or show they have a personality). Not a rhetorical question, I’m genuinely not sure.
  10. I know I’m going to be disagreed with, but that Changbin “Sorry that I love you” song by-itself may not be as big of a “Changbin must be gay” receipt as people are making it, as in hetero people can fall in love with a friend who doesn’t reciprocate their feelings…it’s a gender non-specific song a wide audience can connect to. Changbin has said this about the song… ye “You like this friend of yours, but once you tell them about it, you are scared that you may not be friends anymore. It’s something everyone can relate to and I think that it’s something that everyone has experienced at least once. Ultimately, I think it’s about how one isn’t able to confess their feelings, unable to express their feelings – that’s what the song tries to describe. The lyrics describe something youthful yet something sad.” My opinion of him is neutral, could be straight or queer. If he has other gay receipts then I would view the song more in a different light.
  11. I never speculated anything about his sexual orientation in the original post though, but his gender identity/peculiar expression? I know they are different things.
  12. In my original post I said gay once when I said “he/they is still gay/queer”, then changed it to just queer…imma just call him queer. Sorry for the poor use of the word “gay”, I’m learning. Still the level of clowns my post has?? Lgbt people can be harsh…my post was meant to be a positive thing.
  13. Some people use “gay” in a broad sense like queer…not only to refer to sexual orientation. Edit: And I only used it once when I wrote “he/they is still gay/queer” which I’ve since changed to just queer.
  14. Taeyong is so unique Warms my heart that he was able to break-out of the “manly guy” image SM kind of placed on him at the start and is able to openly/freely show this side of him…100k likes! It’s possibly giving he/they, femboy-ness(?) I don’t understand the clowns?? Like being interested in men…he/they is still queer and goes against gender norms/expectations, along with femboy-ness, this level of subby(?) I don’t know how to describe it… Edit: plus we don’t have a femboyism or gender non-conforming thread and he’s different, even for a male kpop idol. (On today’s episode of is it queer or just Korean culture?…) I’m in no way saying because he’s fem/gnc, it means he’s homosexual (though I think he’s bi for other reasons, completely different story), are people here not welcoming of gnc, thought this was a safe-space? Edit: I’ve found a word that describes Taeyong…Tomgirl!
  15. I still feel like Daewhi wouldn’t have initiated with a comment like that, he was rebutting Heechul who brought it up…so there might be a slight difference when associating their actions with them preferring men or not. I still believe deep down Daehwi is into guys…I can’t help but think about him saying that “it’s his duty to get married and continue the family line” in response to his gay rumours. Also anyone correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t a number of self-aware queer men kind of “self-regulate” their “fruitiness”? Something called “code-switching”? Heechul…he may not feel completely icky about kissing guys and is not ashamed/have toxic masculinity? about liking to look at guys that look aesthetic in his opinion (e.g that men with big shoulders thing)…but it really seems his female preference is big enough that he may not feel like identifying/is enough to identify as part of the lgbt community? What I don’t understand is him saying he didn’t deny being gay because he didn’t want to offend gay fans/the lgbt community? How is being straight going to offend gay fans if that is what he actually is? Being straight and an ally is a thing. Maybe lgbt fans (like any fans of a demographic) have an unconscious bias towards other lgbt/possible lgbt celebs? Was it more about him wanting to appear sexually ambiguous and attract the most fans? He didn’t want to disappoint his gay fans?
  16. I’m just replying to that user complaining about people wrongly portraying Suju as problematic. I’m not saying all Suju members are problematic I won’t post more about it.
  17. @babyv004 Didn’t Leeteuk hit on a 13-year old Yoona when he was 20? I think there’s an incident with underage Krystal too. Also here are female idols literally talking about how rookie female idols need to be cautious of male seniors…to Leeteuk Wasn’t Leeteuk recently a host of that “My teenage girl” survivor show?? Also Heechul, I mean if you connect the dots… His mother talking about him being obsessed with foreign women (fetishisation?). His mother complaining about him “only liking new things” (age? can’t stay with same woman for long? Foreigners?) Momo ticks both boxes…quite younger and foreign.
  18. It was with Daewhi?? What a clip idek so much going on, like why did Heechul say that to Daewhi of all people What a comeback from Daewhi though, first time I’ve seen him “embracing”/making light of his gay rumours
  19. Oh come on now Edit: Oh come on now (sarcastically)
  20. I remember seeing this Knowing Bros clip where he and another male idol have to come close together and Heechul’s like “Didn’t you hear I’m attracted to men?” to scare the other guy (??) and everyone laughs. Idk but would a truly gay person say something like that? Baekhyun-Taeyeon. I wasn’t a Kpop fan at that time but this is one viewpoint I’ve read…Taeyeon got so much hate from Baekhyun’s fans. Why would SM/herself put her under the bus like that to “prove she is straight”?
  21. Thanks for clearing that up…they do look different in the video! The person who photoshopped their photos has issues. I wasn’t necessarily making a comment on how similar the contests look to each other. Even the 1985 women look similar. It’s the 1985 - 2013 comparison…whereas the US one, not as much of a difference. But then again, the 2013 photos aren’t even true representations of what they look like. Edit: Ok so here’s the actual appearance of winner of Miss Daegu 2013, Yoo Ye-bin, who ended up winning Miss Korea 2013 I can’t find a photo of 1985 Bae Young-ran other than this small one here strange… Here’s the US again
  22. I’m sure everyone has seen this Miss Daegu 2013 contestants Now look at Miss Korea contestants in 1985 It’s from this website https://theculturemuncher.com/2013/05/03/miss-korea-contestants-freezing-the-gif/amp/ This is all that needs to be seen to see what’s going on in Korea. And no their genes didn’t magically change. In comparison:
  23. So I accessed the website through my laptop and everyones’ points are still next their names. Also if you go into someones’ profile, even on a phone, you can see their points. My bad. Remember to be on your best behaviour boys, girls and theys!
