  1. HYBE making people hate their groups with this outrageous pricing. Y'all not beating those "we're not marketing to creepy ahjussi and ajumma fans" allegations and not seeing heaven 'cause only people with disposable income can afford this.
  2. On May 11, Billlie’s agency Mystic Story released the following statement about the group’s upcoming promotions: source I'm so happy that she doesn't have to push through overseas promos and is given time to grieve. Mystic Story appears to be handling the tragedy well and taking care of their artist.
  3. LSM isn't there to save his favorites from expulsion anymore.
  4. As soon as I read the title of this thread I mumbled an "oh lord". The encore wasn't as bad as they made it out to be, but there were some parts that made me cringe. I wish that vocals wouldn't be so over-processed on albums so that the audience can have more reasonable expectations when it comes to actual live performances. But... Both "they didn't do badly but their vocals couldn't stand up against previous K-pop generations" can be true at the same time.
  5. This sounds like an Itzy song, and Next Level had a baby, and they decided to make IVE its godmother. It's not bad, just very generic.
  6. Sometimes SM does a fake-out, and the release sounds completely different from the teaser. Here's hoping that's what's up.
  7. Are they still selling albums and making bank? Not saying they are, but if Aespa is considered b-list, then I'd want what they have if I was an idol. The "journalist" who wrote the article either is delulu or is stirring the pot for some rage-clicks.
  8. Source TL;DR - LSM signed a contract that banned him from the industry for a period of time.
  9. It's such a cute video! Edit: Is that the next subunit at the end?!
  10. They really like that 'whoosh'-ing sound effect, don't they?
  11. Yo! That ain't cool! The baby could've been hurt, and then the dumb dumb parent who brought the baby would've blamed NMIXX and JYPE. The pandemic lockdown has definitely killed a lot of people's common sense because it's obvious that people don't know how to at concerts, much less anywhere else in public, anymore. Why is a baby at a Kpop concert? Why was said baby put up on the stage? Why is Kyujin the only person caring about the baby's welfare and acting more like a parent than the person who brought them to the event? Cute baby though. Edit: So it's been found out that the same baby was taken to a Stray Kidz concert too. They wasn't ear protection there as well. That poor child's ears.
  12. Now that I listened to the mini I can give my opinions 'Cherry Talk' - Is ok. Not my favorite. It feels just a little flat? Maybe the MV can add an extra "dimension" to it. 'Touch' and 'Hide & Seek' - These two tracks are my favorite on the album. They give me a 1 gen idol/ Apink 'My My' era feel. I love them! 'Deja Vu' - Like 'Cherry Talk', it's just ok. I could take it or leave it. 'Dimension' (KRE ver.) - It's good. I like the idea of subunits putting their own spin on the same song to show their own color. I hope each subunit in the future gets to do it too.
  13. Do you know the new release time/date for the MV?
  14. Dang! Why can't this and I'm Unhappy be full videos?
  15. Recently Jackson and Ciara showed XG some love by performing a cover of 'Left Right' on stage at Coachella.
  16. This post not too long after the SVT album dump one is just bringing home the point. Album sales and streaming numbers show how devoted fandoms are to stroking their idols' egos. Rarely does it ever prove public recognition. Concert sales and brand deals are better indicators now to prove an idol's popularity. And not luxury brand deals aimed at overseas fans either. Basic run-of-the-mill fast-food, fried chicken, ginseng drinks, convenience store brands, etc. are going to show you who the Korean public likes. Show me your faves on a packet of ramen!
  17. I know it's too late for Jxhnny Kxtgxwx to get his, but I hope the victims are somehow able to bleed the company dry.
  18. Naver TL:DR: HYBE can replicate their artists' voices through AI and can use them however they please.
