    I think I have talked about it- Kpop even feminises the masculine looking guys. In this way I find Japanese entertainment better- they try to figure out what works best for the particular idol. Something makes me think that Korean society normalising surgeries as a way to fit into standard backfired from the original purpose

    If anything what I have seen is that monolidded idols tend to go for corner cutting even more than idols with double eyelids.

    There are men who naturally look feminine but I find the kpop feminisation/neotenisation surgeries a bit bizarre because a lot of these guys don't come off as natural. The anime look doesn't look good irl except some concepts. Frankly speaking, Japanese idols and entertainment stars in general have better surgeries and look way more natural. You should check some Johnny's guys. They have natural V-lines but it comes off as better looking. Talking about transwomen, there is this Trans thai model Natachat Hana Chanchiew whom I found really attractive.     Not sure if they are using a filter in the video but apart from makeup and perhaps skin bleaching, I would say his jaw looks weird. Maybe even nose. Frankly speaking one big issue with Korean surgeries are that they make even the most Masculine looking guys weirdly feminine that doesn't fit them.

    I can see the resemblance. TBH though, sometimes I do feel Giselle should have not done the jaw shave since her lower face looks asymmetric now. LOL Jin is somebody who I found attractive when I was way younger, and he basically looks the same now but I think he looks weird for a late 30s guy. Not that there aren't good looking older men, even Asian but I think he is too neotenised for his age.

    She kinda looks like Atsuko Maeda but I have hard time differentiating East Asian women because the beauty standards for them are pretty uniform. I can differentiate the men more.

    I partly come from an Asian background myself and my aunt worked in the entertainment industry so I don't even understand the sort of people who think that idols were naturally born the same. Yes there are some natural idols but most of them are enhanced

    Eye work, nose and jaw/chin area modification- I think she has started to look like Wonyoung. She looks pretty still but I think she lost her unique charms. She looks like Wonyoung when originally she didn't.

If it was a normal photo I would have said it was filter but....I have to say this though, it makes me seem like South Korean beauty standards actually try to make some idols who don't look East Asian enough East Asian. Seen With Haechan as well as Ahn Yujin, and now Kai.

    I have to say this though: what made such an exquisitely beautiful girl to change herself so drastically? I really wish she heals herself. She seems dangerously skinny now and I wonder if she has enough energy even to perform properly.

    Comes off as extremely cultural appropriation(and I usually don't care) and the vocals are like extremely unfitting for the song. Only Jinsoul sounded interesting.
