I'd probably pass away without Spotify premium in my daily life

lived in both climates for extended periods of time... and to be honest, I'm kinda torn... but since I've been living in NY longer, I'll go with four. I suffer through the worst seasonal changes (especially health wise), but I do enjoy switching it up and experiencing diverse weather. I don't think I'd be able to stand it being hot 24/7 365 days. plus, what everyone stated above is true. tropical = hot and muggy and lots of rain and hurricanes and sweat (even tho you get kinda used to it, it can still get bothersome)

as someone who dropped out in 2017 and has yet to return, I do not believe it is a necessity. for starters, it definitely depends on where you live, but living in New York has definitely made the aftermath of my decision more easy going than others might experience. second, it depends on which career path you plan to take on. as mentioned above, if you want to become a doctor, lawyer, etc., then university is definitely a necessity. but there are sooo many people who didn't go to college for numerous reasons that are valid (finances, not feeling ready, low grades, the list goes on) that end up having successful careers and being successful in general, so personally, no. university is not a necessity. if you want to go, go. if you don't, don't. everyone in this thread has made great points.

first, your brain is not messed up! you are very valid in what you feel for your friend. the thing is, I'm not sure if you should confess to her. unless you're thinking about starting to talk again and rekindling your friendship to build up to the point where you confess, it would be weird. I do feel there is a chance she could be into women because of what you mentioned happened in bed so I don't think you should feel messed up for believing same. if you don't want to lose her, when the time comes that you confess, make sure to have a serious conversation with her if she doesn't feel the same way, that way you won't be left with any unknowns or lack of closure like you were left with the last time you stopped talking. I don't really have much else to say because this is your life and not mine and my opinion shouldn't really matter all the way, but I really wish the best for you! I hope things work out and you can reunite with your first love.

at some point, you just have to get up and go "I'm done dealing with your bullshit". yeah, they're you're family (blood or not), but as Tarted mentioned above, most racist family members are a hopeless cause as they might take you as a joke or generally are part of the older generation. for me, I'm still forced to go to family gatherings with my parents. the amount of racist and homophobic "jokes" that go on during these events are unreal and if you dare call them out on their ignorance, they feel attacked. I wish older people would realize that if you really love someone, you'll be willing to come forward and educate them on certain things. so personally, it doesn't hurt to call them out, but just don't be surprised if they don't listen because that's likely what'll happen. no matter how many times I call my dad out for being a sexist, racist piece of crap who somehow pulled my amazing mom (who is black), he continues to spew his ignorance.
