Even if young Korean men are becoming rapidly more conservative, the idol industry must have a significantly larger amount of Korean males that are liberal compared to normal Korean society. I don't think gay or bi idols are going to have too much trouble in the industry, but if their teammates are very intolerant and homophobic they might have to hide their sexuality(it depends on the group). I agree with everything you said though.

well the people talking about enhypen are most likely enhypen fans or keep up with a particular member, but why is it uncomfortable to read? Maybe I'm analzying too much on his personality, but it seems true Sunghoon has something against Sunoo.

Figure skating seems popular in Korea and Sunghoon actually automatically receieved respect from knetz for being a past figure skater(maybe because of the elegant and discplined style it holds). I doubt many Koreans asked him if he was gay just because he did figure skating because this is the country where the straighest males do the fruitiest things on camera and can go on being passable as straight and manly. I do think maybe he had many insecurities before because he observed his surroundings and how he's the only guy(like you said) and that made him think something is wrong when probably nobody else was thinking it like that.

It seems the hate from his mc career really got to him. I noticed that is when he started being meaner to Sunoo because he probably knows most fans wanted Sunoo as the mc. During Drunk Dazed era he was a little different and seemed kinder, but since Tamed Dashed when his mc gig started, he's targetted Sunoo many times with jokes and open teasing and even shows a bit of resentment for Sunoo's feminine mannerism. And now with the weight jokes, it shows to me he's obsessed with maintaining fitness and he's obsessed with Sunoo. I think Sunghoon's very hard on himself and he wants this perfect heartthrob image, but in reality he's just awkward in a charming way. And yeah, he's so transparent way more transparent than Sunoo tbh when it comes to his emotions.

I think Sunghoon is very much bisexual, but I feel like he feels more comfort around guys. Just seeing how he interacts with members like Jake, Heeseung, and Jungwon tells me it. I think there is some tension between him and Sunoo because maybe he feels the adoration and happiness Sunoo gets is unfair. Maybe he thinks just because Sunoo is openly the way he is, he should be shamed for it, but overall Sunoo receives more positive attention from fans and nonfans. I think he's bi because I've seen videos of his figure skating days when he looked shy and kept staring at a girl that was next to him. But I feel like he would do the same with a guy he finds cute, so I reason he's bisexual.

I don't think Sunghoon is trying to hide anything by working out and gaining muscle. A lot of gay men like to be fit and flex their body, but I do think the way he ditched showing any of his soft side now is an indicator he wants to hide something. During i-land and debut, Sunghoon had a pretty boy aesthetic and now he has a sort of chad aesthetic. Either way he would always be popular with girls, but it seems he is trying too hard to keep up with an image. The way he teases and treats Sunoo speaks of his own insecurities, because I actually doubt he dislikes Sunoo btu rather envies him. Maybe because Sunoo can be himself and still be popular and loved by fans, meanwhile Sunghoon specifically feels the need to cater to their female fanbase. I agree with people Sunghoon is probably bi and could even have a preference for guys. There are times when I see how he compliments and is very close to Jake and it makes me think maybe he has a secret crush on him? I remember he called Jake the "sexy Australian guy" and how he said he wanted to open a cafe with Jake once they retire, which doesn't seem very dudebro to me.

I want to know when or where Sunoo was compared to Kwanghee or Jo Kwon in terms of personality. The idols I've actually seen people compare him to a lot is X1 Dongpyo and Daehwi. Otherwise I agree with you, it is possible Korea only likes Sunoo a lot for his visuals and they might not actually know what his personality is like(or care).

You know, I want to say something as a Sunoo fan that I've observed. It's known that he is mistreated by belift because they don't give him as many opportunities as the other members. Since the recent comeback ended, he is the only member that hasn't had any solo activities. Then during award show performances he is the only member without a solo spotlight during the dance breaks. This all combined with the general fact that he gets the least lines in their songs as well. My point is I strongly suspect the reason behind his mistreatment is homophobia. Most people agree Sunoo seems into guys by his mannerisms and interests, so it would make sense the company has something against him because he is a little obvious. Kpop companies are heavily homophobic and its known that if you seem "gay" they will try to "fix" you with punishments. I think thats why belift does everything they can to hide Sunoo and leave him out. There is also the fact he is the most popular in Korea and rising and they probably don't like that.

Omg THIS. Actually recently I have have noticing that about Enhypen's Sunghoon. His face looks so shiny and reflective especially his nose and cheekbone area. His face has drastically changed to the point I think he has not only had a nose job but has been doing things to his jaw/chin and cheeks as well.

I wonder what makes you feel like Sunghoon could be bi.

Jungwon is the only one to have consistent interactions with him and he seems to be his closest friend right now.

Going back to this post because this is definitely true. While companies can't exaggerate too much about an idol's height, they definitely do give heights based on image. Unfortunately, fans don't use proper judgment as they find it more appealing to follow the heights that the company gives depending on the image the members have. For example in Enhypen, most fans' perception of Sunoo is that he's tiny compared to the members, however I've seen several pictures of him and Jay standing side by side with similar shoes and they are literally the same height. Jay is rumored to be around 6'0 ft, but I really doubt that because he looks more like Sunoo's height. The reason why Jay was said to be 6'0 ft is because he has the boyfriend image while Sunoo has the cute image.

It is totally possible for bisexual guys to still be leaning towards women, be fckboys, and have an awful personality. My point is Lucas gives me bisexual vibes and he also seems like a player. Another thing I have to add is it's also possible for Lucas to be in denial that he may like how a man's body is too. I'm not really stretching the possibilities for him or promoting Lucas bi agenda but would like to remind everyone people are complicated and have multiple sides.

The 4 from Enhypen I think could be mlm or questioning are Sunoo, Heeseung, Sunghoon, and the maknae(who is too young according to people here).

I'm interested in what you have to say about Sunoo and Sunghoon's bond because while they are a popular ship, many don't actually bother looking closer into their bond. And you don't have to worry about crossing into the shipping territory because there are barely discussions about Enhypen here and most users don't care for their ships. I do think that 4/7 in Enhypen are possibly part of the lgbtq+ community or questioning at least.

Hello, I agree with you about Heeseung. I think he definitely pings and seems into guys. To be honest, I think since Enhypen are really young most of them are at the stage of figuring themselves out. To everyone's eyes they appear to be the straightest group in kpop aside from Sunoo. However, there are moments where every member has pinged to me in some way except Jake.

Tea, I feel like it's totally possible for more than half of a group to be lgbtq+ although that's an unpopular opinion in general.

I'm not surprised that the amount of plastic surgery in newer groups increased. There is a lot of pressure and competition for them I feel a little bad.
