IDOL cons 1. has little radio play despite immediate impact date (for ex, MRL countdown refused to play the song, despite thousands of tweets and calls). 2. no promotions (Korean music shows only benefits Korean charting+fans. Fake Love had BBMAs promo and more buzz) 3. Eminem's album 4. what user, mizuharaaya, said at the top of the page was correct. releasing IDOL and IDOL ft. Nicki was a bad idea. it worked to push the song higher in the first week but hurts it in subsequent weeks. Fake Love was smarter (releasing the two versions at different times). 5. Billboard chart changes. 6. exhausted and broke US fans. LY Tear era literally just ended and before that (in reverse order) was Face Yourself, Hope World, MDR, and DNA. all of which have charted on Billboard and iTunes. 7. & more tbh the pros were 1. big name feature (Nicki) who tends to do well when she is featured on a song 2. IDOL Challenge IDOL is likely to chart out next week - and before someone says i'm being negative, i'm not. i'm being realistic. ARMYs do the best in sales (buying the single) and well, everyone has bought both versions of IDOL on multiple platforms already (i have). people should still keep streaming, but our key is radio, which is being stubborn. the last hope is AGT (America Got Talent), BTS will be on that show. so everyone needs to hype it up and tweet/post about it everywhere. get general public's attention. because right now, IDOL charting = fans only. there's almost no general public involved (compared to MDR, which survived for so long in part, because of gp)
