They didn't ''lose their sound'' (they never had a specific sound tbh) they just lost their quality title tracks, the bsides still slap

Loona's title tracks have always been controversial, people hated on HiHigh and Butterfly (the song not the mv) so much when they were released and then started bopping to them months later, the same happened for So What.

So What and Why Not aren't a downgrade, in fact many Orbits think that Why Not is their best title.

But the title track is the most important song, not b-sides. It gets the MV, the live stages, and becomes the main brand identifier of the group.

Why Not isn't even bad, it's super catchy and cleverly produced if you give it more than one listen, but it seems that non-orbits are jumping at any chance to undermine Loona's discography for some reason and coming up with mundane excuses about them losing their sound.

Loona didn't even had a specific sound or music genre anyway, no one of the predebut title tracks sounded similar, they did jazz, dance pop, euro pop, synth pop, bubble gum pop, rnb, pop ballads, soultronica, classical ballad, edm...

An album charting isn't the same thing as a song charting.  Any album can chart, since physical albums for most people are a thing of the past.  Someone buying hundreds of their fave's albums doesn't mean anything in terms of popularity or recognition--in Korea or "InTerNatIOnallY"

Then why some much GGs haven't charted in BB200 yet? or didn't free fall from Itunes US chart? lol

Only time would tell. The biggest problem with LOONA is the consistancy in the release and promotion (which is not something they control), I mean Bbc is either going all out or acting they don't exist it's way too irregular, and for a company that has only ONE GG, they should go all out all of the time.

Their company has improved a lot lately in promoting them and they even have a deal with warnerbrosmusic.

sis Loona hasn't had a single song chart.  Anywhere.  They aren't "outcharting" anyone.

Do you know what "internationally" means? Their albums are always topping Itunes charts and they managed to top US itunes and stay in the top 200 for more than 10 days, they even managed to chart in Rolling Stones Album Chart, Amazon Best Sellers and Apple music Album Chart (the only other ggs to do that are Blackpink).

I don't see many people hating on Loona on this thread right now tho o.o

Kpop is a global industry. (korea + international)

Personally I don't consider Loona top 3 yet. However maybe they could fit in top 10.

None of us is saying that LOONA is top 3 K-GG (I think though that they are definitely top 3 in the US currently), we're just saying that they have the most impressive growth and they have a lot of potential to eventually be a top girlgroup like Twice or Red Velvet.

Saying Loona is AMONGST the top GGs, never implied that they are top 2 or whatever you weirdos are formulating it as. It means they are within the high tiers, or at least the very top of the mid tiers

The hate y’all have for certain GGs in general, let alone Loona.... ewk

Since the beginning of this year, I've noticed that OH doesn't stand LOONA for some reason, like what did a group of 12 hardworking girls do to them?

charting on billboards don't make one among the top group.

e.g. bts have been charting on it since 2015, and it wasn't till like 2017 people finally started to include them in the top 3.

Wings peaked at #171 though, 12:00 peaking at #112 and they're definitely cracking top 50 next comeback, not some many GGs can do that, actually only 4 GGs managed to chart on BB200 before LOONA and all of them are/were top GGs.

    WJSN > LOONA and Everglow

WJSN outchart both & has higher physical sales.

LOONA is outcharting WJSN internationally by a large margin, WJSN isn't half-impressive in Korean charts soooo...

plus LOONA are 100% selling at least 100K this comeback in Gaon (they sold 80K last album) which will put them on the same level physically.

I think they might be in the top 10

Twice, BP, RV, I*Zone, Mamamoo are all obviously more popular rn

Itzy, G-idle, OMG, Gfriend are probably also a bit higher

Then there's Everglow and Loona and probably some other group Apink, WJSN

    LOONA > Everglow and WJSN

They still have a long way to reach TOP 5, bui they're definitely coming for them.
