  1. Money. The victims can do whatever they want with it and they don't need to deal with these companies anymore than necessary.
  2. I think Sailor Moon is more influential for me, but I like CCS better.
  3. I don't have any anime that goes all the way to dislike it. Maybe Attack on Titan and Tokyo Ghoul, but I like them well enough. It just get a bit tiresome later on for me. Sword Art Online is fine as well, but probably not for me. For the first two maybe they should be shorter. They have horror elements and if you drag it too much it loses it effectiveness IMO.
  4. Yeah, that's the flip side. Lot of apologists in Hollywood as well. I could see Seungri becoming a politician or a pastor/minister in the future as well.
  5. I don't think anyone can handle hate comments well besides politicians. Celebrities live and die by their image and reputation. Maybe more so in societies like SK. Some may have thick skin, but eventually the huge amount of stings will penetrate that. Some learn to just ignore them and not read at all. However, like people said here, some malicious comments can fester and tarnish their reputation enough to interfere negatively with their careers. It's certain not for me as I hate being the center of attention. I prefer to stay in the background. I usually just ignore most of the hate comments. Most are not worthy the time and are just bad trolls or just laughable. If they spread false information, I may respond. Again it could be a troll fishing for response. It's hard to distinguish it sometimes. I was negative on some overreacting fans, but I think it's understandable. As long they stay rational and not attack others as a defensive mechanism, it's usually fine and justifiable. If they cross the line, I think they deserve to be call out as well. Business is kinda similar. A negative review has way more weight than a bunch of positive reviews. You probably need up to 100 positive reviews to bury 1 negative one. On Ebay I had like 1500 positive ones before I got my first negative one (from a scammer nonetheless). That one erased any positivity brought by the other thousands one. It made mad enough for me to pester eBay about it. I even got comments from a couple regular customers and a fellow seller about this feedback! If someone receives tons of compliments, one negative comment will stand out and your mind will gravitate to this. Untrained ones may pay too much attention to over the top hateful ones like the ones who call others whores and other expletives. Death threats also are unnerving. Even if the chance of being a real threat is minuscule, it may keep you up at night. Some companies may have special ways to deal with that, but most medium and small ones probably won't have adequate resources for that.
  6. Code Geass's protagonist is similar to Yagami Light in terms of being intelligent schemers and personality and wanna change/fight the world/status quo. In this aspect both have similar vibe. Maybe a bit too many plot twists for my taste, but I had fun watching it. Main character carries the series. 91 Days has a similar vibe as well although it's more like a mafia revenge story. If you liked this aspect of DN, I think you may enjoy both series.
  7. Lain may be a slow burner, but it's short and weird. I think it's fine. I dunno if I call Monster slow or fast. It's deliberate, sure. Still pretty good. Usually good thriller tend to be slow IMO. I guess do you prefer a more Code Geass pacing?
  8. Do you mind old animes? You could check Psycho Pass, Steins; Gate, Ghost in the Shell, Eureka 7, and Monster. For older recommendation, Paranoia Agent, Argento Soma, and Serial Experiments Lain. For newer one Kimetsu no Yaiba, Dororo, The Promised Neverland, and Vinland Saga.
  9. Every gamer with female avatar in any game with customizable character are male in my eyes Assumptions are reasonable although we should avoid it.
  10. Yeah, I'm not sure if this is the case in all the US, but in California usually you aren't allowed to eat/drink on train platforms. Usually there are signs saying that with the punishment ($250 fee I think). It's a dumb rule as the justification is to keep the areas clean which I get, but the response to that shouldn't be creating stupid rules.
  11. TShit Ent should be closed and be sued. After all these abuses to all their groups, they shouldn't be allowed to operate anymore.
  12. well, Korean x Chinese animosity may not help, but in general I think at this point a Chinese company buying another company should raise eyebrows anywhere, as Chinese encroachments in various business are becoming more than welcoming and becoming nuisance to real issues to locals (like real state, agricultural and mining ventures, and so on). Fantagio had some hiccups with a Chinese investment company or whatever it was which disrupted activities of their acts for a while. I'd like to know which company it is before judging.
  13. The Internet outrage may have saved this one for total disaster. Maybe I will check it for funsies.
  14. Well maybe they should focus more on their artists instead of illicit businesses.
