I like the Kurz and Casually Explained too. I usually check the channels these channels check for similar quality content. Recently my feed recommended 李子柒 Liziqi which is a channel about countryside life in a Chinese rural area. She did get some attention because how well produced her videos are and how skilled she is portraited, but it's a very relaxing watch.

I think most of them are fine and I like them except for Wendy's. That one is just weird.

Sadly this is just business as usual in the geopolitical game of regional powers and the US. The US just chose Turkey and sold the Kurds to them. This will have huge consequences later for the US like in the past similar situations. This will also prompt some action from Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Iran as there is a vacuum of power there. In the end civilians will suffer the blunt of this geopolitical move.

Not much. This ranking are not really for general public it seems.

Seconding exurb1a. If you like this one, maybe you will like CGP Grey and Rare Earth as well. What kinda of content you like? If you like Let's Play, I think Markplier has a good mix of genuine reaction + sassy + annoyance + cool attitude compared to others. For science/knowledge there are the combo of scishow, veritasium, vsauce, geography now, Isaac Arthur, Historia Civilis, and so on. The rest of channels I like may be a little too niche/specific for you.

Well some religious fear mongers and their followers just think atheists are satanists in disguise, so no surprise about this portrait of atheists. Now talking about militant atheism, I think this "movement" died down after Hitchens's death and the fragmentation of the left and PC activists. Well atheism doesn't have much of a glue to unite such movement anyway, but it had some cohesion that time. Still religious fear mongers need to feed to their persecution complex and invoking the image of militancy to an opposing view serves their purposes.

I guess it's fine for older idols, but they try to sell an image of youth and freshness, so probably no. I think they need to shed off this image first. Some do when they market themselves as singers rather than idols.

A couple times it's fine. No one should be immune of criticism (fair or not). However, you also have the right to defend too as long it's done amicably. Now if your friend is doing this constantly to provoke or have a cheap laugh, maybe there is another issue in the friendship besides bashing your bias unless said bias did something criminal (even if it's just allegations).

Lynn Minmay was my first waifu

If you have the space to store them properly and permanently, yes. Otherwise, they just take up space eventually. In the age of digital goods, collecting manga makes sense to only a few.

there's a age limit to being a kpop idol?
Pyron replied to sukui_'s topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
I imagine with technology advancing fast if we don't blow up ourselves, eventually we will have 10000 years idols But being serious, of course the older you are, the less chance you have to debut. As for lasting career, only a few may survive past 30s and maybe pushing 40s in case of male idols. Fans get older as well and some may be really loyal. An idol just need a substantial amount of them. Still it's the exception for the "rules". As Kpop gets more and more mature, it will be more systematic as well with fewer exceptions. -
I'm an active lurker I guess.

I do support the protesters, but at the same time, in terms of real politik, it all depends on CPC and the local HK oligarchies. China has been doing very shady stuff in other regions like Tibet and Xinjiang and still no reason sanctions beside some formal condemnation if any at all. For instance, some of the Turkic nations actually signing approval of Xinjuang's management except for Kazakhstan as local Kazakhs there suffer similar fate to the Uyghurs. Still no formal condemnation, just negotiation. I don't see much reason for any real power to respond in HK favor, as it doesn't represent much real strategy value to any of them. In truth HK had some leeway with CPC when their economic importance was a significant chunk of China's total, but nowadays, CPC doesn't need it as much for this purpose, so there is not much negotiating power balance for HK. It still has its economic importance. but this bargain chip is getting less and less valuable. The local oligarchy will sell out its citizen to retain some of their privileges. CPC will keep taking little bits of HK's autonomy till the agreement is expired. There isn't much that can be done. CPC knows time is in its favor. They don't need to dirt themselves. The HK oligarchy will glad do it in their behalf.

If you are looking for quality writing, yes absolutely. The author is cream of the crop. You can read anything from this author (Naoki Urasawa) and you will be served good stuff. I don't recall rape from memory. If there is allusion to that, it'd be done tastefully. I'd recommend Pluto as well as my personal favorite of his works. It's a sci-fi thriller.

First of all I'd make it more consistent. Having 5 GG+Bom is a bit jarring for me. I'd have liked to see Park Bom performing with other soloists for consistency. Secondly, give each competitor a budget and add some challenges like making a MV with a set budget. No elimination as well. Maybe have different scores from audience, the competitors, a panel of specialists, etcetera and have them have a balanced weight. Maybe alternate between GG and BG? I don't care about BG, but I may watch BG in an amicable competitive setting. They could do just soloists as well.

YHS should have just focused on music instead of other ventures and shady business.

Not a fan of Metallica, but I really like this one!

If you want brutal, just go with Slayer lol. It's kinda midrange in terms of brutality I guess, but maybe a little too much for you. I like Iron Maiden and Blind Guardian. You can't go wrong with them. I like to be able to hear the bass in my metal and I appreciate lyrics that touch on history, literature, and fantasy. I liked to indulge myself on King Diamond sometimes. I'm not much into American metal that much. I'm like Manowar and Megadeth thou. I guess Manowar may be a bit too much on the heavy side for your taste, so try Megadeth first. I'm not a fan of Metallica, but I like melodic stuff they made. Maybe try some "kawaii metal" like Babymetal. They tend to be more pop-ish or gimmicky, but they are fun.

I'm more of a stew guy, but I love some Yukgaejang!

Just be amused by knowledge. Learn something that may be interesting and random. Recently I was watching painting restoration and random stuff like that.
