Don't misunderstand me, I don't hate on the girls (I don't even know them, why would I) it's just the specific fans that angered me. I mean this whole thing happened when people started saying that their clothes are basically rppp Era from f(x) and it's normal to compare groups and eras, it happens all the time in kpop. I don't get why some of them got mad, I mean DIA was compared to f(x) that are a legendary group, that's not a bad thing and it's not that the members chose their clothes... And then the whole Amber is jobless /Uber driver happened and everything went downhill...

actually it started with them replying to amber out of nowhere making fun of her about being robbed so it was unprovoked, the next day their group cameback and coincidentally two members were literally cosplaying rpp amber so amber fans replied them how you gonna insult amber when your faves are looking like her clones? and then it escalated

Yeah, from what i saw it was literally one "fan" trolling on twitter and tbh things got out of hand...

I was actually low-key hoping the Uber replies were a part of viral marketing and they were somehow involved with the song too, since i don't think Amber's tag was ever mentioned in the original tweet

But i now see that's apparently deleted?

1? i've reported over 30 accounts so its not a small thing and is serious enough for amber to see it in her mentions

i see every fan making fanfics about what's going on who's at fault how to solve it etc.... what everyone fails to see is that they will never be an active group again, the first stage of their idol life (full focus on group activities) is over, the members are individuals who need safety in their career, they need their personal activities and future plans to be guaranteed first so they feel safe enough to give sporadic presents to fans through group releases. first contract ended and if SM isn't able to satisfy their demands as individuals fans shouldn't be pushing for group activities bc the only thing they'll accomplish is making the members feel guilty and accept whatever scraps SM offers just to appease fans sacrificing their own future and interests.

 

we already protested years ago, sent them letters, blew up their phones, fax and spammed f(x)'s official fan page and twitter, and that was back then when they had total control of the members activities and still all sm did was ignoring us blocking us and deleting our comments so i don't expect anything different from them now. i feel like the only way to really help is supporting and empowering all the members individually so they have the upper hand, as long as sm sees that some of the members have no support they will see no point in giving in and will continue to focus on the people who bring money or the groups who are still 100% under their control.

Without being properly promoted and regular comebacks. Imagine if they were promoted properly and have more comebacks

If I'm making assumptions, it goes both ways. You ALSO don't know the whole truth yet is quick to blindly defend Amber. Your bias is stronger that mine, actually.

It's weird that Amber moved to a new apartment so recently, then everything started falling apart. Sounds like she was almost kinda blindsided if we look at how she seemed about to settle even more in Korea and seemed so hopeful a few months ago. 

 

People keep saying she's not 'economically viable' but it sounds more like it's the company that hasn't known how to find work for her for years. We all know how she was viewed in Korea. Companies are supposed to know how to sell a concept or a person and sounds like they've been shafting her for years. They know how to sell other, more typical, female idols because that's the history in Korea. If they don't know what to do with someone like Amber, find someone who does. It's a company's job to help find their people work and to help them build or maintain a career. People need to stop saying "SM isn't a charity". Because if they are seriously holding onto her without letting her increase her profile, then they really are becoming some kind of charity, aren't they. She sounds like she's really putting in effort to put herself out there to try to earn money, but they're being lazy, denying her, and holding her back.  

 

If Korea isn't the place for her, quickly market her elsewhere. Find a way to spin her image so it gets her work, not the opposite. Don't let them only show one skill, sounds like she was prepared to really sing in front of people for five years. Ready to display her self-produced work. These years of career neglect has lead to where Amber is now, so why people keep looking at the current situation only (and yes, I'm talking about a recent visitor to the thread) I'll never understand. Why retain someone you don't think you can market? Why refuse to let that person market themselves? Why keep someone who isn't, or you don't think can be, valuable in some way? That's the most confusing part to me. If she's not earning as much money as they like, then why have her? How is her sitting around being more valuable than her working in whatever capacity she's asking for? 

 

Yes, being angry or sad on social media isn't the way (unless it is  ), but neither is just sitting around waiting for a company that says "work isn't coming in". They've got to find you work. They've got to let you find yourself work if they don't know how to find it for you. For example, an agency that has illustrators on retainer would try to find markets where each illustrator's style is viable and would help the illustrator negotiate prices if they found someone on their own or if someone sought them out. The person in charge of these illustrators carry around a portfolio with them to show the artists' work to potential clients, to talk them up, and so on and so forth, but they don't force that artist not to have their own website and business cards for marketing purposes. 

 

If everyone just sat around waiting for work to just fall into their laps or for their fame to somehow build itself, no one would get anywhere.

 

Exactly that's why the antis theory doesn't add up because they keep ignoring what a management company's job is, Amber absolutely doesn't want to leave f(x) but f(x) isn't moving anywhere so her sacrifice in staying I still totally useless, she's not interrupting an active group, she's begging to do something during all the time the group is inactive which is like 98% of the times.

 

She's not even asking them to give her stuff, she was ok doing them herself but now she can't even do that and that's what broke her.

 

Unless SM offers a deal where she can manage and produce every solo activity somewhere else and still stay as a member for group related activities they are pushing her to leave. (Or at least attempting it because the legal battle will be nasty and there's a big chance she would lose)

She has released 3 solo music videos through SMTOWN, being SHAKE THAT BRASS and BORDERS very high value production material.

If you compare, other than Taeyeon, Taemin, Kyuhyun and Jonghyun, she has actually released more solo material in Korea than most under SM!

If she feels like she could do more, she could either convince her company of that, or if she is unsatisfied, leave it altogether like Minzy did.

it's not something they need to say, anyone who's been following them since at least 2012 should have already seen this. They are a senior group, past their first 5 years every single idol will put their own future first

it's not about f(x) all the members consider f(x) a second priority after their personal careers, want f(x) to continue and not to disband? Make sure the members are all content with their own solo careers or they will be forced to leave

It's like once she's smiling everyone thinks everything is fine, but you can't ignore how she was practically rusting for years with Henry, then she got a whack solo debut with the rest of her album being this glorious beautiful thing. And now they're trying to make her rust again, trying to push her toward variety and crappy english one liners as a comedic role in dramas.

Ah, it's good to see so many people think she's charming. Some people who really give Entourage a chance seem to like it for being 'slice of life' and not having a cliche romance plot. But everyone seems to agree on Eun Gab as their favorite character, I think because he's the most well-rounded one with family issues and a career on the line.

it depends, korean fans or i fans? i fans are desperate for her to date, k fans are extreamly aprehensive about her and dating, they either treat her as an innocent baby that must be protected at all costs and doesn't do adult things or they ship themselves with her and fight each other over who's her wife lol her male fans are even more aprehensive they even get mad at her having to cuss so much on the drama lol. they HATE shipping they even pretend they don't see when amber's doing skinship with guys they were pissed at james, they were pissed at r3hab etc lol but tbh idk if they would legit stay mad at her for too long bc they always end up forgiving her everything.
