  1. I don't know enough about the idol business to call the "system" broken but accusations of Jimin bullying Mina for 10 years coming to light, I believe FNC is broken.
  2. Yeah, I think so too. The girls present themselves the way YG wants them to.
  3. I"m somewhat of a lost here. Why is this a controversial issue or cause to support? Finding missing children is a good thing, no?
  4. OH! In that case I'll go with Dumbo ears. That long nose will be the cause of many, many misunderstandings.
  5. Pinocchio's nose only grew when he lied, right? I've been told many times that I cannot like anyways so as long as I tell the truth I'll have a normal nose. So Pinocchio's nose. I just hope that the nose does not grow and stiffen during cold weather.
  6. I think it would be sad not having any friends at all. Life is too short and valuable to think about the things you may miss out on. Sure, it might awesome having friends you can share K-Pop stuff with but I think it's perfectly fine having an interest in something that they do not. Focus on the common interests you do share with them. Enjoy that bond. You know? And continue to enjoy K-Pop because you like K-Pop...For yourself.
  7. I totally agree with Red Velvet B-sides and "Uncover" is a bop. No doubt about it. Seulgi doesn't disappoint. I love Irene & Seulgi's EP. For me though, THAT song is "Diamond". It's just released and it's already one of my favorite Red Velvet songs. "Diamond in the rough. Diamond diamond in the rough". Oh yeah!
  8. I read that as no "fail" damage...I would have taken that. Infinite speed sounds cool if I could run like Flash. Without knowing how fast sprint is I can't take the chance. No fall damage has many benefits. Forget falling from a building. What if I'm age 99 and fall? I could break a hip or something worse. Don't want that. Got to think practical. No fall damage for me please.
  9. The way the OP phrased the details and question is interesting. Is the person who has this "strong personality" being deliberate or intentional? The natural instinct is to say "yes" this is indeed bullying. But I think @Newton'sApples raised a good argument. In this case we need more context. Analyzing is fun.
  10. Ah, I thought it was for current idols only. In that case, I second @eunheart in support for Uji (formerly of BESTie) too! Mind you that she's even better today. Anyway.....
  11. Yes, to the former it is. As to Blackface being a form of CA, it depends on how it is presented. To appropriate is to take, borrow, or exchange, and some will argue doing so without permission. Fashion is just one thing that can be taken, borrowed, or exchanged. Aside from fashion, it extends to other things like ideas, language, identity, etc. How it is done can be material, objects, or in this case by makeup. Blackface in this argument is using makeup to take someone's identity (race) and using it to mock. Whether it was done so with or without permission doesn't matter. The argument here is that the makeup was misused for a negative purpose. As to the latter there's a movie called "Hollywood Shuffle" where in a segment shows non-Black people using makeup to portray Black people. Their antics in another scene went further by over exaggerating stereotypical behavior (e.g. jive talk and walk). I thought Robert Townsend's movie was smart and genius in the way he brought out social issues in a comedic way.
  12. I think if you visit a foreign country it is your responsibility to follow the rules as best as you can. It's a simple matter of courtesy. Can we confirm if those people were U.S. military? There has been a lot of negative propaganda against U.S. military recently so I'm looking for more sources to support this article.
  13. The girls did express in the past that they wanted to be more involved in their song productions. I thought "기대 (Hope)" was well written. It's good to see that their company is continuing to support their wishes. I'm looking forward to it.
  14. Apparently defending your own property against an angry mob is becoming taboo in some parts of our country.
  15. Am I missing something? What about ITZY "DALLA DALLA"? While I agree LOONA's "Butterfly" was one of the best, their debut song (as a group) was "Hi High".
  16. I'll vouch for Seuigi (of Red Velvet) being one of the top vocalists in K-Pop. She's a controlled, not a fancy singer who does crazy vibrato or ad-libs. Seulgi may not stand out but she's a reliable singer who can bring the group back on pitch. Her live singing is generally on point from start to finish. For that matter I think she's more stable than Wendy is. IMO she is like Wheein who is the glue that brings the voices together in whatever group she sings with.
  17. I don't have sympathy towards people who bully but someone ought to look after Jimin. She seems off. As for Mina, I hope that she's being cared for and has the full support she needs however long she needs it. It's time for her to heal and be happy.
  18. The origins of cultural appropriation is complicated because the words "culture" and "appropriation" formed together was a 20th century thing. How culture appropriation is defined will depend on who's doing the explanation. As it is based on the person's experiences and viewpoints there is a fair amount of subjectivity. However, one argument could be made for Blackface, a widely acknowledged form of cultural appropriation, which dates back to the 19th century. Blackface in this example was solely done to mock another race. It is in no relation to profit from sales.
  19. Every now and then I tune into these YT channels. DKDKTV Grazy Grace soobeanie_
