Well, maybe not. It's not like I'm caucasian or something that I will stand out. In fact, during my trip there, people starts talking to me in korean thinking that I am one, and when they realize that I have this dumbfounded look on my face, they'll switch to speaking in English (assuming they can). I'd love to understand what she's saying in between songs, but unfortunately, I'm totally not proficient with Korean.

My only problem in going to her concerts is that she does like talking in between songs, and I can't understand them. Also, it would be weird to be the solo foreign guy watching.

Hey good to have old Younha fans coming into this thread. I was a Younha fan since Houki Boshi (like most Younha fans my age) and got into K-pop with Audition and Password 486.

Yeah, we have the same concerns over last year's People release, but it can't be helped though. K-drama OSTs have their own marketing power so it makes sense to put it on an album. It's also not just Younha's voice, but how it blends with the overall instrumentation that's really great about Younha's tracks. It's not the overpowering "oooh my song is here to flaunt my superior voice" kind of song, but more like "hear how great my voice harmonizes with the other instruments in this song" kind of songs.

Yeah, to be realistic, it'll probably be tough to repeat the Oricon Comet success, unless perhaps she gets involved in a really popular anime's soundtrack.

I knew Younha would perform better with a live band rather than singing along a recorded track. This Subsonic performance sounds amazing! Plus, it's doesn't look like she's forcing things.
