I'm 99% sure taeyong doesn't know you can use they to convey gender neutrality. The statement in japanese or korean might have been gender neutral, but that's just how language works. To be honest, from any other groups I'd think they could be lying but Mamamoo have never been especially shy about their dating lives. Hwasa has said she's dated non celebrities, at least two different partners since she debuted. Solar basically said she likes sex/has lots of sex, and a lot of moomoos think Wheein has been dating that one guy he went on a trip with for a while now. The others were actually saying they were worried for moonbyul not dating as they talked about sex and stuff, and I'm willing to believe it. Also if you listen to moonbyul's solo stuff and what she's said about her last relationship it's fairly clear that it affected her very negatively and is scared to date again. She's very timid and shy, has had a really bad experience dating, plus I think her not being straight probably adds to the mess... Some people don't date for years when they are going through stuff like that. So I'm willing to believe it in her particular case due to what we know about her life. That's just me though.

To be honest, I take those surveys with a grain of salt. Data gets usually skewed, when you really look at the numbers it's less "people are not straight" and more "straight people admit they are curious about gay sex". Just think about it, how many times have straight people come at you to ask about your ~gay life~ and stuff like that? They ask not because they are gay, but because they are curious hets (sometimes lowkey homophobic in the way they treat us like circus animals but let's not go there lol). I don't mean to be rude to straight people, but in my experience people take those surveys where straights are being progressive and think it means they are gay. It's like with that one survey where it says around half of teenagers wear clothes meant for the opposite sex and how progressive that is, but then you looked at it more closely and it's just women wearing sweaters from the men's section and wearing their boyfriends clothes. Which isn't seen as abnormal either way, and it's not even associated with queerness or gender non conformity at all nowadays. Or that other survey showing most women don't want to label their sexuality, but then turns out the same porcentage of women wouldn't sleep with a bisexual guy. Like all these numbers are just... Not it. Under today's political climate (and I definitely only mean in the west), especially in "woke" communities, especially in leftist spaces, especially amongst younger people, saying you don't conform to traditional orientation labels or you are curious about gay sex is seen as progressive. But in reality it's just that, progressive straight people. Listen I'm the first person who'll laugh at those "only 1% of the population in [extremely conservative country] is gay" polls, but most people being gay is ridiculous. Yeah the numbers might be closer to 10-15%, maybe even higher, but most people...? C'mon. Let's be real here. You guys know perfectly well those numbers don't add up. The ent industry is another story, and 1 in 4 doesn't sound ludicrous to me in that context. But as @choiminki95 says majority of people are bi with internalised homophobia doesn't account for homophobia as we know it. I don't mean to be rude with this, but I feel like we really are a minority, as much as it hurts to admit.

I think they're both lesbians/bi but I don't think they are dating tbh, lol. Their interactions strike me as some platonic unnie/dongsaeng relationship, but I don't think it's a stretch to imagine that Dahee feels closer to MB because neither of them is straight.
