True true, thanks for pointing that out! Context is everything though as you said (considering mb has said stuff like "I'd love to be a guy to date a lot" before it's relevant to this topic imo lol) In other gaymoo news: Wheein's tshirt (boys that like girls girls who like boys boys that like boys girls who like girls) In other other gaymoo news: Moonbyul's, uh, tshirt... yeah it's the p word yall

(~1:10) have yall seen moonbyul talking about wanting to be a man if she was reborn? love her queer ass lmao (also 👀 at wheein "i think i could live well as a man too")

It's funny because it's true . For real though, I find it's quite common for queer people to "vibe" with idols who then turn out to be sus af, even without realizing we are doing it and before we ever see the receipts at times, lol. I wonder how/why this happens, it's interesting.

I agree that there may be more lgbt+ people altogether in the entertainment industry, but there are definitely still more queer men than women, in my experience. I can't think of any population sector with a bigger sample of queer men in it. Just like women in sports, there you can have a field day speculating ahshhahshj. But I'm pretty sure there are just less queer women in kpop than men and that's why they ping less (even though there might be statistically more queer women in kpop than in other sectors(?)).

Oh, I've seen irene discussed quite a bit here, so I supposed it would count as 'unpopular' skadkjfa. As for BP its true that most people agree they give off a lot of straight vibes, lol, I guess I'm always very "???????" about people talking about them being queer since they are clearly het to me? I refuse to have an opinion on jisoo because it wouldn't be accurate lmao, but rosé for example has such huge heterosexual energy that i'm always surprised people can argue she's gay (even though... who knows, of course).

oof. I personally don't have a problem with people having weird/creepy fantasies as long as they remain fantasies and treat real human people with respect. but like. oof. what's the context for that comment?

Hmm. I think it's interesting to ask who people usually agree are straight tbh! "Which idols do you thinka re straight" is as much of a valid question as the one posed in this thread, after all and a better question to be asking at times too depending on whom we are discussing tbh. It's true that just like sometimes you meet someone and think 'ok so they're obvioucly queer', there are times when you see someone and they are oozing heterosexuality out of every pore lmao. Which I must say is the case for my beloved yet tragically straight chen. There are some others I can think of, I'd definitely like to hear what other's have to say abt this.

Ping: amber, moonbyul, and sua (all three ping hard as fuck). also: hani, chuu, krystal, taeyeon, wheein Never pinged: 3/4 of blackpink. i feel like this is an unpopular opinion but they are the straightest gg ive ever seen. I know most people think jennie is straight (and i fully agree, she's a -10 in the kinsey scale) but lisa is honestly like. the epitome of heterosexuality for me, and i mean it unironically. she has kind of a flirty on stage persona but girl's straight as a ruler. i would bet real money on rose being straight too. (Don't know about jisoo and not voicing an opinion on her because im too biased and i dont trust my gaydar around her lmao). No one in red velvet pings me either tbh? which i feel it probably an unpopular opinion as well, but it's my opinion. also, obligatory honorable mention to tiffany for being the straightest het to ever het (rip taeny)

This is all a big yikes. If any and all conversations regarding the personal lives of underage idols get shut down then I'm okay with that, but coming to an LGBT+ thread full of LGBT+ people to tell them they are "weird", "creepy", and "not normal" for chatting about an idols possible (non straight!) orientation in a non sexual way isn't it.

Mamamoo for sure. SM's ggs have always attracted a big(ger) female fanbase, which you could see for snsd, fx, and now rv. Apparently SM thinks male fans will gravitate towards girl groups regardless (i mean, they're not wrong, lol) so they try to make them more, eh, "girl friendly" i guess, to secure a larger female fanbase? But I don't know how many of those fans are queer. Loona is worth mentioning as well, although to be fair they seem to be p popular among all lgbt+ people, not just women.

tbh her solo stuff is usually kinda emo.. but even though the lyrics have always been sad, this tweet puts things into perspective and goes to show how much the relationship with the other person affected her and.. its really sad :( anyway. representation for the Lonely Gay Experience i guess

*nods* true, true, i just dont see them discussed that often, and they debuted over two years ago now, thats why i was asking. tbh some ggs pre 2015 were kinda out there and engaging in fanservice but its true that this new wave of in your face f/f fanservice is quite recent :0

(sorry if ot) unlurking bc ive been meanin to ask yall: what seems to be the Consensus on dreamcatcher on this thread, if theres one? ive seen dami discussed a lot, and siyeon lowkey pings, but for the most part it feels like it's all just mostly a lot of fanservice going on within the group, plus the girls being really close and comfortable with physical contact between each other imo (not counting sua because i'm sure we can all agree she's gay af). whats yalls opinion?
