  1. https://sjj48.com/ ...so they aren't an actual idol group but a political party "Seijika Joshi 48 To" translates to "Party Politician Girls 48"), long story short seems the "NHK party" collapsed and what was left of them decided to merge with this other party, their political goal is to defunct "NHK" (Japan's version of the BBC) their president is actress Ayaka Otsu and their candidate for the next elections is going to be ex HKT member Mao Yamamoto kinda strange but i guess having former idols running as politicians is a "as expected from Japan" moment? https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2023/03/08/national/politics-diplomacy/gaasyy-expulsion-likely/ https://mainichi.jp/english/articles/20230308/p2a/00m/0na/027000c

  3. her debut song, she just signed with Sony Music before being "Sunny Sunny" she was a Youtuber under the name "Asagi Nyo" that became popular for her song covers
  4. i always love when bands make theme songs for themselves ("SCANDAL in the house" for example) something i noticed is that this is one of those Japanese groups that never uses English words (or at least rarely) in their songs, that's isn't very common these days btw their name "Rinne" translates to "endless cycle of rebirth"
  5. so far all songs from this band have been good
  6. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2023-03-06/bandai-namco-teases-new-dragon-ball-z-budokai-tenkaichi-game/.195639 the Budokai games are usually considered to be the peak of DBZ's video games, definitely getting hype for the 4th one
  7. they are really cute! i feel is one of two, either this guy is lying and he was trying to sell them or he has some mental condition and maybe he really likes them, in that case he should try becoming an animal keeper at the zoo, if he did he could spend all day with them
  8. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/davion-irvin-dallas-zoo-monkey-theft-suspect-said-hed-do-it-again-emperor-tamarin/ Texas man arrested for stealing 2 monkeys from Dallas Zoo says he'll do it again if released, court documents show A 24-year-old man now linked to an unusual string of crimes that kept the Dallas Zoo on the lookout for missing animals told police that after he swiped two monkeys from their enclosure, he took them onto the city's light rail system to make his getaway, court records show. Davion Irvin also said he loves animals and that if he's released from jail, he would steal more, the documents said. Irvin told police that on the night of Jan. 29, he waited until dark, jumped a fence to get onto zoo grounds, cut the metal mesh of an enclosure and took the two emperor tamarin monkeys, according to arrest warrant affidavits . He then got on the city's light rail before walking to the vacant home where he said he kept his animals. Police arrested Irving on Thursday a few blocks from The Dallas World Aquarium after he'd been there asking questions about animals at the aquarium and a worker recognized him from news coverage. Police said have said they are still investigating, but Irvin has not been linked to the suspicious death of an endangered vulture at the zoo in January. Meanwhile police in Louisiana announced the arrest Tuesday of a 61-year-old man in the case of 12 squirrel monkeys that were discovered missing Jan. 29 from their enclosure at Zoosiana in Broussard, about 60 miles west of Baton Rouge. Police said the missing monkeys haven't yet been found.
  9. https://gizmodo.com/new-alien-movie-fede-alvarez-cast-isabela-merced-fox-1850180126 Dora and the Lost City of Gold's Isabela Merced joins the film, which is produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Fede Alvarez. Fire up the pulse rifles and get your acid spit ready. The new Alien movie from director Fede Alvarez just added its second lead, meaning we’re getting that much closer to seeing Xenomorphs on the big screen again. Previously, Cailee Spaeny joined the project, and now Isabela Merced, seen in the recent Hulu hit Rosaline, and who also played Dora in the live-action Dora the Explorer movie, has joined the cast. Deadline broke the news of the casting but still doesn’t know who Merced will be playing or what, exactly, the story of the movie is here. All that is known is Ridley Scott, who directed the original Alien as well as its two most recent big-screen iterations, Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, is producing and Alvarez is directing. He’s best known for directing the 2013 Evil Dead remake as well as 2016 hit Don’t Breathe. Since nothing official is known about the movie, we turn to unofficial sources. Those claim the film might be called Alien: Romulus and that filming is already taking place. We’ve reached out to Disney, which owns Fox, for comment or clarification and will update this piece if we hear back. So what do we think this movie might be about? Initial reports were that it’s not connected to the previous movies. But how can that be? Is it a remake with other people encountering the Xenomorphs? Alvarez certainly knows a thing or two about remakes. We know it’s probably not set on Earth because Fox is already working on an upcoming Alien-themed TV show which is kind of a prequel to the movies, set on Earth. Maybe this will line up with that? Also what’s a Romulus? A ship? None of that is clear just yet but, if the film is actually shooting now or is about to start (and casting certainly suggests that), we’re sure to learn more sooner rather than later. is probably going to be bad! i think the Alien franchise is pretty interesting but other than the first 2 (and maybe Prometheus) the other movies aren't very good also why the pictures from the Dora the explorer live action look so... strange
  10. more stuff from ano she is also the leader and vocalist of the band "I's"
  11. "Chu, Tayoisei" was one of the ED songs of the Anime of Chainsaw Man, the MV just passed 20m+ views! I've been waiting for her to get invited for a while already i recall that two years ago she appeared in a publicity campaign for Burger King "THE FIRST TASTE" that ad was in 2021! before her major debut "AIDA", is really nice she was finally invited to the real show, 2022 was a pretty good year for her and i'm looking forward to what she has planned 2023
  12. i don't really follow boy groups so i haven't heard news about it but if many of their idols are quitting they may have gotten a heads up of what's coming, if the BBC does a good job with their report then i would understand why they don't want to be associated with them and i feel that there is no way this would air if he was still alive
  13. first single with the new members! check their debut song too, is pretty good
  14. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2023-02-28/bbc-plans-documentary-episode-about-idol-industry-mogul-johnny-kitagawa-alleged-abuse/.195389 BBC Plans Documentary Episode About Idol Industry Mogul Johnny Kitagawa's Alleged Abuse The BBC is listing the summary and air date of a documentary about Talent Agency Johnny & Associates founder Johnny Kitagawa on its BBC Two channel. The program will debut on March 7 at 9:00 p.m. GMT (4:00 p.m. EST). The broadcaster describes the program as follows: Kitagawa passed away in July 2019 due to a subarachnoid hemorrhage (form of stroke). He was 87. Kitagawa was born in Los Angeles, and his family returned to Japan when he was very young. He later returned to America and spent some of his youth there. He taught English to orphans in the Korean War for the United States Army. Kitagawa returned to Japan again and founded Johnny & Associates in 1962 after establishing the male idol group Johnnys. Johnny & Associates went on to establish and manage many male idol groups such as SMAP, Arashi, Tokio, KinKi Kids, V6, KAT-TUN, and Hey! Say! JUMP. The members of idol groups under the management of Johnny & Associates are collectively known as "Johnny's." In addition, Kitagawa was a music producer and stage production director. He continued to produce musicals into his 80s. He held Guinness World Records for having the most No. 1 artists, the most No. 1 singles, and the most concerts produced by an individual. the fact that we have to wait for a British network to bring attention in mainstream media about the abuses and allegations surrounding Johnny Kitagawa should tell you about the power this man still commands even on dead someone with better knowledge of it can probably explain this better than me but this guy actually had a monopoly of the Japanese male idol scene, to put it in Kpop terms let's say that all the top tier boy groups were owned by a single company, imagine the power said company and it's president would have? imagine if said person was willing to abuse that power? thankfully Johnny Kitagawa's influence is diminishing and most of his associates are also old as shit so they are next in line
  15. i never read or watched "Kimi ni Todoke" although i know is pretty popular in any case this one should be easy to adapt, surely even Netflix couldn't ruin it... right? premieres on March 30
  16. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2023-02-28/singer-maon-kurosaki-passes-away/.195420 Singer Maon Kurosaki Passes Away Agency Art One Entertainment announced on Tuesday that singer Maon Kurosaki passed away suddenly on February 16 after a worsening of her chronic illness. Kurosaki underwent emergency surgery for epidural hematoma (bleeding between the skull and the membrane surrounding the brain) in September 2021, after collapsing during the middle of a live-streamed concert earlier that month. Kurosaki rose to fame after performing in Tokyo's Akihabara otaku shopping district, and then made her major label debut with ending theme songs for the Highschool of the Dead anime. Her performance of "Magic World," the ending theme for A Certain Magical Index II, debuted in the top 20 of Oricon's weekly singles charts. She has since contributed songs to Dances with the Dragons, Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School: Future Arc, Drifters, the Grisaia anime projects, Hakuōki, Jormungand Perfect Order, Magatsu Wahrheit -Zuerst-, School-Live!, Shakugan no Shana III (Final), Star Blazers 2199, Strike the Blood, and Tokyo Ravens. She most recently performed the ending theme song for the first Reincarnated as a Sword anime, which premiered in October. Rest in peace this is really sad, not only she was young but it was so sudden, just weeks ago she was posting pictures and videos from the studio and literally days before on February 14 she was promoting an upcoming concert
  17. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2023-02-27/eiichiro-oda-asks-chatgpt-to-write-the-next-one-piece-chapter/.195350 Eiichiro Oda Asks ChatGPT to Write the Next One Piece Chapter One Piece manga creator Eiichiro Oda has been playing around with AI in the last few months. Last December, he made AI draw Lucci and thought it was hilarious that the process changed the intimidating man into a small girl. He drew a picture of Luffy's incredulous reaction and posted it as a video on the One Piece official YouTube channel. Oda's newest AI adventure goes a step even further: He asked ChatGPT to write him the next One Piece chapter. The One Piece Twitter account posted the entire exchange, prefacing it with "Oda asked the taboo question." In Oda's first message to ChatGPT, he says he can't think of the next One Piece story, so he asks ChatGPT to write "an especially entertaining one." The AI obliged by detailing a story about the "King of Shadows" who kidnaps Chopper. In order to defeat him, Robin connects with the "Shadow Tribe" from her past. With the help of newfound allies, the Straw Hat Crew defeats the King of Shadows. "What do you think of this story?" AI asked Oda. "It has a shadow-controlling villain, a mysterious race of shadow people, and new friends. Robin's role will also be important. Readers will want to pay attention to her knowledge and actions." Oda then replied: "Sorry, this is boring. Could you please present a more interesting idea?" ChatGPT then launched into a story where an alien secretly lives among the captain and crew. The alien's home planet was destroyed by an evil spaceship, and they boarded the One Piece ship to pursue the enemy. The captain and crew help the alien in their pursuit. In their journey, they stop at an island where an evil witch lives. The witch plans to steal the alien's Star Fragment, which is necessary to restore the alien's home planet. The captain and crew team up with the alien to defeat the witch, then restore the alien's planet. This time, Oda seemed to like the story. "Thank you!" he replied. "I will write it exactly like that!" Tune in to the manga next week to see if Oda follows through.
  18. (for some reason is blocked in Belarus, Russia, Canada and the United States, weird but im sure is going to get fix soon) this is actually my first time listening to the song! they have played "Everything" a few times in their concerts but it hasn't been released anywhere... until now also ExWHYZ's first Budokan concert "ExWHYZ LIVE at BUDOKAN the FIRST STEP" is going to be on May 13, their previous largest concert at the Makuhari Messe Hall had about 6,000 people in the audience, if everything goes well here in the Budokan they could have anywhere from 10,000 to 15,000 people
  19. so these girls aren't idols, singers or anything like that but childhood friends that started a Youtube channel that got popular pretty quickly (1m+ subscribers) and now they started releasing music together honestly i'm not familiar with them but these past days there was a lot of buzz about them in Japanese music sites
  20. from her 2nd album "HUMAN"! ReoNA has been on a roll lately (well actually since her debut) tons of great singles these past months
