I think one of the reasons why this new girl group is taking so damn long is that there are too many groups under SM Entertainment right now especially after NCT's debut. The company is struggling to balance promoting their newer groups whilst making room for their older ones (they're even holding back Exo.) With JYP, both Miss A and WG disbanded which allowed the company enough time and money to debut all these new JYP groups on schedule. With SM, they cannot afford to rush a girl group debut as they have too many other priorities to take care of.
