The bigger the population sample, the more 'abnormals' (delulus, defensives, toxics, crazies etc.) there are, that's maths. If BEG was as popular as SNSD or 2NE1 we would have crazy fans too and people would hate us and we'd get those "I WISH EVERLASTINGS WOULD STOP ACTING LIKE THEY'RE SPECIAL1!11!! BEG ISNT EVEN THAT GOOD AND XXX IS UGLY AND YYY ISN'T TALENTED AND ZZZ FLOPPED AND-" posts instead. This isn't a recent thing, it's a social phenomenon.

It does have negative connotations but I didn't use it that way. I love 'ratchet' things tho, I stan Junglepussy and LBR how else would you describe this? BlackJacks are often a really embarrassing fandom I agree. 2NE1 is a great group with great music but they're not special in the scheme of things- they're just another basic pop group honestly. CL has the potential to be special (she went to fancy international schools and speaks 4 languages so I maintain the theory that she is potentially incredibly intelligent, like Miryo, and might write some fantastic lyrics in her US record) but that remains to be seen. That doesn't change the fact that there is a HUGE anti-BlackJack and anti-YG sentiment on this forum that is very frustrating for reasons I'm sure y'all can understand. Separate fandoms and music. If fandoms were an indication of music or artist quality BEG would be terrible and SNSD and 2NE1 would be the absolute holy grail of artistry and quality. Sales figures, album covers, 'prettiness', popularity; all of these mean NOTHING if the music isn't good realistically.

I didn't say ratchet was a bad thing, I love Nicki. You did listen to the Junglepussy song I linked right lol???? CL has better delivery than Nicki most of the time, but Nicki has better flow and (from what we've seen) better lyrics. This forum is notoriously anti-blackjack tho so that doesn't mean much.

I don't want them to have a 'US debut' (k-pop talk for 'release a bad English song and hope it goes somewhere magically with no promotion') and notice I said Miryo, not BEG. BEG's Engrish would make any attempt at a US debut laughable. TBH Miryo's rapping sounds kinda awkward in English too but she could fix that with practise probably. I think Miryo could slay an English song though. In an indie kinda way though, not in a ratchet Nicki way. CL is fabulous don't be a hater pls. I also love that their 'meanwhile' news for BEG is "meanwhile they... debuted in 2006... I guess?"

Yassss exactly. Miryo intrigues me. We know she is highly intelligent, very artistic, musically capable, speaks conversational English, and has more interesting lyrics than any other K-pop artist ever yet we know next to nothing about her and she does basically nothing which I think is tragic because she is an absolute gift to the industry. Miryo could make it in the US I think. Sometimes I hope that she will feature on a CL song or something but I HIGHLY doubt that would happen.

If she took like 5 vocal lessons she'd be better than a lot of K-pop singers. Like, all she needs is a vibrato and some basic agility and she's fine. Miryo's rap does improve tho like every comeback she gets better, which is great because most K-pop idols stagnate or get worse *coughgaincough* I am glad tho and always will be glad that BEG doesn't have a useless member like 99% of other K-pop groups. Makes them 32847284373747373x more stan-worthy IMO.

That IS why Revenger is overlooked. I'm not surprised by the fact, just saddened.

Ga-In had a flashy music video for hers and it was (closer to being) a title track, so that makes sense honestly. Still, Revenger is prolly the darkest and most sincere (probably) song in the K-pop industry, makes me wonder what Miryo has been through to go from NAN DURDY HEH to STAND MY LOVE I PUT A GUN TO MY HEAD :/

If Miryo bought her own little recording thing and made a soundcloud account she could put out more music than all of BEG's discography with all the spare time she has. Ugh I really hate how artistry is either discouraged or ignored in the Korean industry. It frustrates me endlessly. Miryo is literally the only Korean artist I know who's written a deep song (Revenger) and even then IDK if that is like personal experience or just being dramatic. She did talk about suicide in that song so part of me kinda hopes it wasn't personal experience cause that is kinda heavy.
