also to add to the jackson discussion before! i discovered a doc from 2016 where i was writing down specific got7 sexuality related thoughts lol, so an excerpt from that (some of this was mentioned before, some of it hasn't, at least recently /hasn't read the whole thread). dunno if all the links work still. I’ve gotten an overall feeling Jackson is queer. A list of some specific instances (though there is too much to list at this point): Asking Amber if two guys could be on We Got Married. Spending time with Hong Seokcheon. Supporting Jo Kwon in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Saying “the guys are hot too†at a concert. “Jaebum looked amazing tonight!†and calling his childhood male friend his “life partner†on instagram. And I don’t think little care for gender roles and the rules of Straight Masculine Behavior must always mean someone is queer, but it is worth noting, and out of all the 24/7 instances I’ll mention a) . b) “hyung, can I see your abs?†and checking these guys’ abs… with his hands. Coni asking Solji if she likes men with loyalty on the Weekly Idol special and Jackson answering “of course,†and everyone else bursts out laughing, Solji saying “he was asking me!†Coni sums it up as “so whether it’s a girl or a guy, our Jackson will like them if they’re loyal.†17:30. One of the cast members gets a tarot reading and the fortune teller says he’ll have (good) relationships with men in the future and not so much with women - it’s unclear whether she means romantically or in general but the cast/the editing team run with the romantic interpretation - and it’s one of those situations where I find Jackson’s demeanor stripped, almost solemn. Jackson had “claimed†the color pink three times this comeback. First, at their showcase, they were each supposed to pick a paper out of papers of different colors. Jackson and Jinyoung picked pink. Jinyoung asked Jackson why he chose pink and if he thinks it’s his color. Jackson said “of course.†Second, during an interview they were once again wearing their pink stage outfits and Jackson called himself “pink boy.†Third, they were supposed to play a game with blindfolds on the Weekly Idol special and everyone was surprised Jackson already chose one when they were all talking, which was the pink blindfold out of various options. On which superpower he’d want to have, he very seriously answers, (English) “I would wanna be invisible… so I can, like, umm… you know, see… see my members showering?†(and goes on to say he could also scare Bambam when he’s sleeping, etc.) And here he goes again. Literally this whole bromance series where Jackson treats it as a date the whole time, says there can be a heart-fluttering feeling between men, too, etc. After the first round, Mark says “this is not my style.†Jinyoung goes “this is completely my style.†Jackson goes “doing it with paper is not my style.†(Jinyoung dies.) (When I first watched it ages ago, I filed it under ~interesting (re: Jackson), but not enough to form conclusions, could be variety show cheekiness~, but having way more material now, I’m including it.)

your last sentence = the hill i will die on, lol. there are a couple (non-JB-related) bambam instances that gave me a pause! it both comes down to his personality being very... earnest/vulnerable in a way, meaning i wouldn't read much into this with many other idols, but boy often unwittingly reveals a lot about himself (generally speaking), hence why they made me wonder. it's at 1:07, his answer to kiss marry kill. "i'll kiss yugyeom maybe... we're the same age." i found it like, TOO REALISTIC (to counter your yugbam point a lil, though it's again more about bambam than yugbam). like, i'd expect more of a jokey or bland answer from an idol? (eww no one / mark the visual / etc.) and then, i think the eng subbed version is deleted, but going by my memory+limited understanding of korean, at 24:25, after yugyeom is asked which three members he wouldn't introduce to his imaginary younger sister, he picks bambam and bambam keeps asking why, and at the mm:ss i mention he says "i think i know why" and there's just a pause, and again it gets me (extremely fondly) IT SHOULDN'T BE THAT DEEP, IT'S A DUMB IDOL GAME lol. maybe i'm overthinking but i found these moments interesting. ^^ then there's ofc bambam being unabashed about flirting with men overall, and i wouldn't be surprised if one of the reasons for jackbam's close friendship was that they're both queer. also i know hah i am just a self-conscious person who is worried people will misunderstand me if i don't add disclaimers to everything ;;

i do ship bbam (among lots of the other wonderful got7 ships ) so i'm with you. ia that jjp the parents makes sense, it just... yeah. gets overused and sometimes the "parent/child" ship moments are something shippers that deem them so would die for with their own ships. (... that's a clunky sentence but let's go with it lol.) i like to joke that OK, DADDY KINK IT IS in reaction to it. yeah, the vocal appreciation on bambam's part is there!!!!! and lots of adoration on jb's part. and i think they, at this point in their life, are on much more equal footing than when bambam was younger and their relationship is clearly filled with so much mutual respect. and at the same time they really are one of the goofiest most ridiculous ships with their sense of humor, lol. (disclaimer, not saying anything is ~there, this is more like an excited shipper side note, heh... and arguably bambam's side of it is somewhat relevant to this thread.)

I've disagreed with the blog before too, plus I gotta say I'm not fond of single blog write-ups like these, because to me it tends to come across as someone positioning themselves as the authority with their analysis~, which I don't think is, idk, fair with these sorts of things? whereas here it's a bunch of people sharing and discussing with agreements and disagreements, and that just... makes more sense to me given the topic.
