Did someone bring up Ten again well we’ve discussed abt Ten multiple times here so idk which time are you exactly referring to. Anyways I saw some of the people that I follow talk about him dating Yuri, but idk exactly if it’s 100% true. However in 2018 Ten was rumored to be dating an SM trainee and Yuri was actually supposed to debut with NCT. Around the same time (like somewhere around 2017-2018) he said that he liked Ten’s dancing on an ig live, but I don’t think that it’s necessarily a proof of them dating. But as baseless as it is I don’t think that the rumor is that far fetched. Everything is possible. about the HK dude, in 2017 Ten was seen on some water park with some dude that appeared to be companying him? The thing that made people think that he was his bf was that it was a private vacation and why would he go to a water park with only one friend haha sounds like your typical park date.

Tbh most indicators that insists that he could be straight or bi are nowhere near as convincing comoared to the gay ones in my opinion. People like to use the fact that Ten had a lot of female friends predebut to prove that he was a womens' man but tbh it just reminds me of how people tought that Key was dating some of his female friends/coworkers like Nicole or Gayoon, when having a really close female friend is pretty common for gay men (obviously not all men who have a female friend is gay but it's not an uncommon thing either) When speaking about nctzens in general ig most would agree that Ten is gay. My sister literally watched CMBYN and Young royals etc. And is still pretty homophobic. She keeps saying shit like "pride is unnecessary because they are not as oppressed as poc" (which is it's own debate who is more oppressed , but either way just a dumb thing to say) and said to me that coming out as bi (esp bi girls) is no big deal because they are straight passing. In addition Call me by your name was a popular movie, so some idols might've only watched it cuz it was popular and not because they were seeking for that content. I also would like to remind you that gay tolerance =/= being an ally. So when you say "at least they aren't homophobic", well not being homophobic doesn't equal being pro-lgbt either.

I feel like the fact that groups nowadays are more aware of their lgbtq audience makes us think that everytime an idol "acts queer" it's because they are trying to reach to that audience, but in reality they might act that way cause they see a profitable market in that audience. Fanservice has existed for a long time, but now that companies are more aware of their lgbtq audiences they try to profit off of them instead of actually representing them.
