  1. No you’re completely right in that aspect, it would make anyone snap. But the problem is that they’ve always been building her up for this moment, this wasn’t something they decided last night. So it would make sense to have a proper clear build up. The problem with Dany is that they made her too flawless, the audience love her. She’s not complex like her book counterpart - book!dany has her flaws, she’s far more realistic and the way her madness is portrayed is way better (she hasn’t reached that point yet but it’s very obvious that she’s going mad unlike the show which decided to do it lastminutedotcom). If they had a gradual descent into her madness with her friends deaths being the trigger, it would’ve been way better. It wasn’t clear to the general audience that she would go mad, some would argue that she showed signs of madness before but they were very subtle and easy to miss.

I understand, and I'm sure it'll all be fleshed out and better told in the books (if they ever come out) I've just come to accept that the show is a very Hollywood-ized/action movie version of the story and just enjoy it for me what it is.

  2. Looks like you’re the only one because the execution was beyond awful. She was supposed to have a gradual build up and then become mad, not make her mad queen in the last few episodes. That’s just beyond stupid. And her killing innocent people doesn’t make any sense at all, it goes against all of her values. She had no reason to just randomly start burning people.

She lost 2 dragons, Jorah, Missandei, half her army, and now her lover. The common people don't love her. She snapped. Considering how she's ruled by her emotions and her propensity for violence I didn't find this to be a huge leap.
