I just finished watching his post-SNL vlive. He's so cute! Everything he does and says is charming. I'm so full of love for him I'm just gonna ramble for a bit. I find it amazing how comfortable he is chatting with fans despite being introverted, like we're his actual friends to share his highs and lows with. (He doesn't even seem to mind all the weird things people write in the chat. I was going to watch him live at first, but the live comments made me want to crawl under a table. I really hope the Korean comments are less cringy.) It's good to see him so visibly satisfied with a stage; I feel like I've seen him upset about performances way too many times in the past year. He was so cute with the goodie bag and the electric tooth brush. He seems like my brother in that he generally only shops when he has to and only things that have a specific purpose. He values everything he owns and seeks to make full use of everything. Marie Kondo who? His hair struggles!! He must have been so happy to have found a solution to all troubles with the bucket hats, but I guess he was told to stop wearing them or maybe he saw fans grumbling about it and ditched them himself... Generally I want him to do whatever he likes with his hair, but when he talked about shaving it... All male idols have to shave their hair when they enlist anyway, he can wait till then! Ngl, it'd be pretty funny though if he just Jin'd it and shaved it one day without asking anyone. Bighit would make him wear a wig. Ah, his English! Sounds like he's really put in work with it, with his pronunciation but also with grammar. Koreans seem so fixated on memorization, it kills me. Kookie actually got some good advice in the chat too, telling him to "make fun sentences". We'll see if he actually sticks to his lesson plan this time, though... He really ought to get a tutor. Okay, I'm done rambling! I'm just gonna go and find that live with the blue shorts now to rewatch while I eat dinner.

Agree on all accounts. I feel like it's always been like this with BTS? It's one of the reasons it took me a long time to get into BTS. Another thing that annoys is the lack of vibrato. I used to think it's either their own choice or a way of 'copping out' of singing big notes due to insecurity, but recently I saw some behind-the-scenes material where Slow Rabbit (I think it was him) was telling one of the TxT kids to "disperse" his voice at the end of notes. In other words, do that godawful breathy sound... The Bighit producers may be very talented with sounds/instrumentals, but their skills/preferences in vocals are not to my liking. They treat voice as something to infuse into the song rather than something that carries it.

Idk idk, I didn't really pay attention to exactly how many lines everyone got, but Jungkook's parts were the ones that made the biggest impression on me (ofc I'm biased in this regard). His voice in Jamais Vu in particular is gorgeous. I do wonder if they're going to regret not giving JK more parts in Boy With Luv, though. The vocal parts are pretty high-pitched, I have serious doubts on how the other vocals are going to fare with them live, especially with that choreo... I get the frustration. I feel like I can never get enough of his vocals. He's been trying so many new things at concerts lately, flexing his voice, seems like he's ready to explore exactly what he could do with his voice. I'm sure that time will come, he's so young and eventually he'll get a legit solo project.

I have such conflicting feelings over his work drive. On the one hand, I totally get it and would probably be much the same if I was in his position. On the other hand, health is not something to f*ck with. I was a competitive athlete in my teens and some of the injuries from that time never really healed. Obviously it's the same for all idols, JK just seems to have an ability to push past that point where most people's bodies simply give up, so I worry. Anyway, one could write a novel about all his good qualities, sometimes I really think he's too good to be true. This sounds lame, but he lowkey gives me faith in men haha

cred. This video is what made me a JK stan! Well, sort of. I thought he was an adorable little boy but I only truly became a fan when I started watching the Run series. He's such a funny, sweet dude and I've come to be very protective of him. I know he's technically an adult now, buying his own fancy apartments and whatnot, but I also still see that boy in Graduation Song when I look at him and I think I will continue to do so for a while to come. This whole conversation around flower boy vs hip hop is so shallow. The only thing that makes Hyunsuk more "hip hop" than Haruto are his undercut and bling bling accessories. While I'm annoyed by the drama around him atm, I think he has enough support/fans that over time things'll even out. I'm not too worried. Anyway, this place is turning out into Hyunsuk Central. Other stans, where you at? I just realised that Jaehyuk is a 2001-liner, meaning he's in the hyung line! He's quite soft-spoken and I kept associating him with Junghwan and so I assumed he was also 13-14... I'm so shook.

Oh good, there's a thread for my new fave! I remember being a little suspicious of his flashy personality when I started watching YGTB, but quickly came to realise what a sweetheart he is. I was so impressed with his positive attitude in that first rap battle with Junhyuk and my impressions only got better from there. I have zero faith in YG managing the new group and I expect a rocky road stanning Hyunsuk, especially if it's true that YG had to be coerced into including him, but what can you do.

Ah, really? I can only imagine the emotional rollercoaster he's gone through. I guess it's hard to be happy when you've already accepted your fate once. Although I feel even worse for the ones who didn't make it but let's not go there, enough sadness I didn't catch much of the v-live, but I feel like the mood got better towards the end.

Wow I randomly woke up at 4 am right when Hyunsuk was announced, but thought it was a dream when I got up later for work. I'm in shock. Half the members seem to be as well, judging by the v-live. The most unbelievable part about this is that they genuinely didn't know themselves about the line-up until the announcements. That's just... I have no words. Like, I'm picturing Hyunsuk updating his CV, hitting up agencies, eating half his weight in candy 'coz it's not like he'll have to pose for pictures any time soon, and then suddenly his phone blows up... Anyway, I'm currently looking up Junghwan and Jaehyuk's performances to get a better feel of them.

Come on now. I know you love Yoonbin to death and that's perfectly fine, but this attempt to downplay all of Hyunsuk's talents and popularity to prop up your fave is pretty ugly. It's fine to be biased, just own it! I personally love them both, and I hope they both make it, even if it doesn't look too likely.

Things may be getting heated up here, but it's nothing compared to Twitter. People on my timeline are legit at each other's throats. I had no idea I followed such... passionate people. Kpop fans living up to their reputation, I guess.

Oh damn. I still think Hyunsuk will make it, but thanks for the heart palpitations, YG. I really don't understand the point of this strategy of revealing the final members.

I'm totally free when the finale airs, but I don't think I'll be watching it, at least not to the end. Regardless of outcome, there'll be tears and disappointment and since I actually like all the trainees, I'll feel like shit watching it happen...

I've never stanned a YG boygroup before, could anyone here enlighten me on how equal the line distribution generally is? Especially with iK*n, since they have 7 members.

Another Golden line fan signing up! I started watching this show on a whim, got ridiculously attached to Hyunsuk, and before I knew it had seven favourites... While I'll follow the group as long as Hyunsuk makes it, I'm going to be legit gutted if my other faves won't. I hate myself for getting attached! Not even P101 got me this bad.
