  1. The title track (I mean this in the Western way) is great, it's already one of my SOTY.

A very large number of fancammers who focus on female idols definitely intend for the fancams to be sexual. Just look at the intentionally low angles they shoot from and the overtly sexual thumbnails they use. It's just what gets the most views. Some uploaders are worse than others but I definitely don't think most fancams of female idols are innocent. At least not from the perspective of the person who recorded the video.

Oh I agree with that too, the filmers definitely play a part. They manipulate non sexy performances to be sexual, and that's what I don't like.

    kpopfap?

That subreddit actually doesn't bother me because it's so... contained. Like it's just reddit and imgur and the people there don't seem like the type to actually try and go talk to or message or harass idols. Just repost their pics.

Like I get that it's creepy, but it doesn't bother me when it's contained in its own community.

I do think it's cringy as all fuck though when a twitter user named "Jungkook_daddy's_cockring778" is fucking trying to tweet at idols though. Like omg. Please keep it in your fucking pants

Honestly the idea of using pictures and fancams that isn't for that use and then using it in that way is strange to me by itself (especially when there's literal porn out there), but the main reason why that specific subreddit creeps me out is because a lot of the content is accidental, like a female idol's skirt flying up accidentally or something. Plus as well a lot of then seem way too happy when female idols turn 18. There's a bunch of subs dedicated to Western female celebs that's of a similar nature and idk it's always made me uncomfortable.

I agree it's always worse when the idol is directly exposed to it.

Not everyone is focused on what happens in the US constantly, though.

Many Americans can barely point out five other countries on a map, so why should foreigners be so hyper-aware of everything that happens in the US?

Not speaking about Ailee in partcular, but in general.

I never said either of the bolded statements is true/should be true.

It's just that I personally find this excuse to run dry after a while, it's used in literally every single situation regarding Western issues and it's getting annoying. Foreigners do not need to be invested in other people's cultures if they do not want to be. However, if you're interested in Western entertainment, as a lot of idols are, you will know at least some of the gossip surrounding that industry. We can even flip this back to me - I have relatively little interest in kpop as a whole, but I do still know about the more important stories. I wouldn't claim to be as ignorant or unaware of the industry as fans claim idols to be about the Western world.

Regarding this specific case, idk much about Ailee but it appears as if she grew up in America. The domestic abuse case was talked about a lot back then, I remember TMZ obtaining the police picture of Rihanna. Obviously the only person who will know for sure if she knew is herself, and it's down to her if she wants to continue to support him. I'm not invested enough in either artist to have deep feelings about this.

Half the time I don't buy it when people say that idols don't know, some of you act like Korea is some remote place in the ass crack of nowhere.
