  1. Looks like Namjoon's tiddies have company lmao - I wish Spotify would sort out their individual profiles, armys have been notifying them for ages now and the twitter account keeps saying that they'll look into it but nothing has changed It's a shame because individual profiles could introduce new armys or non fans to lesser known solo collabs.
  2. 99% of BTS' title tracks are really average, their B sides are consistently better
  3. Idk if they'll get as far as Ed and Taylor, like you said there's barriers and those two are exceptional cases anyway, it would be hard for even other Western artists to reach the same level as them. I'm definitely cool with what they are doing atm, but it would be nice for them to have a proper breakout worldwide hit but since they don't a) promote and release in the way Western artists do, b) sing in English, and c) doesn't get anywhere near the radio play they should get considering their achievements, they'll have to be extremely lucky to do so. I agree that they'll have a far better chance with the Korean GP, they're in the perfect place to do so. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using OneHallyu mobile app
  4. I think BTS (and a few other Western artists) are in that weird spot where they're a bit bigger than a niche since they made some mainstream advancements but they're not exactly a household name yet. I do definitely agree they're still dependent on the fandom, that's why they're so frontloaded. I might have said this on here before but while it's been cool to see the recent growth in the fandom with the vlive and soundcloud records, I think their biggest potential area of growth is with the GP.
  5. The fact that their videos have a way higher like to view ratio than most other artists is really interesting. Ed's and Taylor's videos have views in the billions yet Idol hasn't cracked 350M views yet.
  6. Click here to view the Tweet I'm honestly a bit surprised NME started following them, they're not traditionally the type of artists they report on. Anyway it's nice Bangtan is making Western lists like these.
  7. Here because of the post in the MT, I haven't been as active in the solo threads but I'll make an effort to pop in more often. There was a really good thread in r/bangtan yesterday about Hobi's growth as a rapper, it was really interesting to read.
