  1. This is so bittersweet for me as a fan since their debut in 2007. 8 beautiful, wonderful years. I'm so happy they are still going strong and that we have much more coming from them. On the other hand it's the first anniversary without all 9 members together. I never ever thought that would happen and it is hitting me hard today. As a die hard OT9 fan from the very beginning of their journey, I hope that someday we can see all 9 together again in some way. I will continue to hold out for that OT9 story to end beautifully.

I'm so proud of my 9 beautiful girls. Thank you for everything. Words can never describe what this group means to me and how much I love them all. They have been there for me and helped me in so many ways. Through extremely good times and extremely bad times, I've always had these 9 girls. Here's to 8 amazing years with them, and many many more. I have been a Sone since the beginning and I plan on being one even after the end <3

Kim Taeyeon, Jessica Jung, Lee Soonkyu, Stephanie Hwang, Kim Hyoyeon, Kwon Yuri, Choi Sooyoung, Im Yoona, Seo Juhyun, I love you all and thank you for everything. And as the saying goes, "If you are SNSD in the next life, then I will be a Sone." <3

  2. Music show wins are nice but honestly they are just a novelty at this point. The girls have over 100 and they've won a bunch with Party and they're predicted to win tomorrow, plus there are guaranteed many more with Lion Heart and You Think. Don't fret too much about not winning one of them. This promotion has been a huge success, let's just enjoy the rest of it :)

I'm honestly just so happy that Taeyeon and the rest of the girls look like they're having a blast. I'll admit something seemed way off on the Inkigayo performance last weekend but this week it seems like they are back to normal <3

So this is their last weekend of promotions? I was hoping they would perform Girls, we need some live performances of that beautiful song.

  3.

I just returned from a week in Seoul on business, and wanted to share a few observations about the city and the K-Pop scene I was able to make while there:

    - Seoul is crowded and busy, with a lot going on.  It's fun, but can be stressful.  If you are planning to visit, it would help a lot to have a Korean friend with you as a guide and translator. English-speakers will have no trouble getting around or communicating, but many of the most interesting places and a lot of the restaurant menus need some Korean-language fluency to decode.

    - I didn't see any K-Pop idols in person, but there are plenty of K-Pop level visuals walking around the popular areas - both girls and boys.

    - K-Pop is on virtually every retail store's music track.  The top songs are played non-stop. I often heard Sistar, Nine Muses, and later, SNSD while walking around.  "Party" took a few days to catch on, but was playing everywhere by the time I left.  But if Korea has a music scene other than K-Pop, it was hard to find any evidence of it.

    - No matter what else you hear on OH, the "IT Girl" of Korea is clearly Suzy right now.  I saw her face everywhere, advertising everything. Seolhyun of AOA was a distant second.  SNSD was still a visible presence, especially Yoona, Taeyeon, and TTS. I saw EXID's Hani only on their reality show (which is just as lame as all other reality shows.) For all the talk here about Krystal, I didn't see her face once - f(x) in general seems to have zero media or advertising presence right now.

    - Music stores I saw all seemed to be small and independently owned. You have to search a little bit to find them. But even the smaller stores carried almost everything...everything released in Korea, that is.  Good luck finding any Japanese releases at all.  I could't find SNSD's Tokyo Dome Blu-ray disc anywhere.

    - Most SNSD merchandise for sale uses older photos that still feature Jessica.

    - SMTOWN at COEX Mall had a big poster of SNSD's Party album cover, with Super Junior's Devil on the other side.  A group of cartoon EXO character statues decorated the courtyard.

    - Korean desserts are the best. :)

I lived in Seoul last year for 4 months studying abroad and you nailed everything. Doesn't seem like much has changed since I was there last year.

I was over there right when Mr.Mr. was released and I heard the song everywhere on the streets and saw lots of promo of it around the city (as well as individual promos of the girls. Lots of Taeyeon, Yoona, Jessica, and TTS).
