Definitely. They are much more touchy and much more smiley lately. During the making of "Ddun Ddun Ddun" (Solar's song based on her "Solarsido" theme), Moonbyul got in between Solar's arms for a selfie, and while Solar objected, she was smiling and laughing the whole time. She told the staff, "Take her [Moonbyul] out of here," and the staff said to her, "But you called her here."

I'm back to shipping MoonSun. I think they were broken up from late March or early April 2019 until a month or so ago, but I think they're back together. But yeah, this site was down for like six months and killed the activity all over. I had almost assumed that it was never coming back, and I'm guessing a lot of people did assume that.

100% agree with this, but the signs continue to be good that they are reconciling. I don't think they are back together as a couple yet, but a) Moonbyul is still obviously madly in love with Solar... I made the comment on YouTube that Moonbyul lit up like a fricking Christmas tree when Solar showed up at her Eclipse stage, and then went back to serious and/or sad when Solar left again; and b) Solar seems to be a lot more relaxed about Moonbyul's expressions of affection lately... for a while, she was pushing her away, keeping her at a distance, etc., but lately she's been allowing Moonbyul to hug her and get close to her. The only bad sign is that Moonbyul is still too abusive, and you can still see Solar hates that side of Moonbyul. I wish I could bend both of their ears for ten minutes, tell Moonbyul to stop beating on Solar and tell Solar to START beating on Moonbyul, because Moonbyul obviously loves it. I think 90% of Moonbyul's abuse of Solar was just to provoke a physical reaction from Solar, to get hit herself. One of the more telling clips, Moonbyul bent over to let Solar hit her butt with a wooden spoon, and when Solar did it, Moonbyul's reaction was one of happiness, not annoyance. Not my thing, but to each his/her own.

I think you'll find yourself pretty alone in that viewpoint except among Eric Nam/Solar shippers. I agree that Moonbyul is gay and Solar is straight, but I am 100% convinced that Moonbyul seduced Solar and that they were in a loving relationship since at least mid-2016 until early to mid-2019. I think you have your years mixed up, as that clip is from mid-2019, shortly after the time I think they broke up. Whether or not they are going to get back together, I'm not sure. I've seen both positive and negative signs lately, like their latest MMMTV episode, Solar looked EXTREMELY annoyed with Moonbyul's behavior, which is not a good sign.

I like it as a general theory, but the distance Solar put between herself and Moonbyul mid year would seem to argue against that. At one point, it looked like she was travelling to their performances in a separate car. I don't know that for a fact, but there were several instances where she posted video from the back of a vehicle sans the rest of the members. She even moved to a different apartment, further away from Moonbyul & the agency. I was confused by that since didn't she buy a HOUSE? Yes, both. Moonbyul has always been the more affectionate but also the more physically abusive. She's always hitting Solar, kicking Solar, smacking Solar... you can see Solar hates it, but she doesn't haul off and deck Moonbyul for it. I suspect that's what drove them apart in the first place. Maybe they go hand in hand, I don't know... I'm reminded of Professor Higgins telling Eliza in My Fair Lady, "If you can't appreciate what you've got, you better get what you can appreciate, find yourself a man with thick lips to kiss you with and thick boots to kick you with." But if Moonbyul would learn to keep the affectionate stuff and ditch the abusive stuff, I think she'd have a much happier Solar on her hands. Couple day later update: I saw in one vid Solar looking down to Moonbyul's lips again! She hasn't done that in months! MoonSun isn't sailing yet, but there's definite signs of life!

Ugh. I've spent a couple hours looking for the original videos. As usual, I can't find them. One of them was a concert back at the end of May, and Solar was avoiding Moonbyul entirely. She and Wheein were doing the playing potato thing Solar usually did with Moonbyul, and all the other interactions that typically occurred between them were entirely lacking. Moonbyul and Hwasa were left to their own devices, and Moonbyul looked like a kicked basset hound, or like I do when I get my heart broken. It was clear, at least to me, that she was on the verge of tears almost the entire concert. The only time she smiled was when all the girls screamed for her rap part. The signs of an impending breakup had been coming for a couple of months prior, though I doubt Moonbyul realized it. Moonbyul gave Solar flowers and Solar rolled her eyes and said, "I don't want it." Solar said in one of her Solarsido videos that Moonbyul showed up at her house and Solar asked her why she was there, like she needed a reason. In their last YKBK, Solar include two other girls to keep Moonbyul's hands off of her, and Moonbyul shifted her position so that she was sitting below Solar, a supplicating move. All very bad signs, and then that concert, I just said, "Oh, gawd, Solar dumped her." The video which has Solar asking Moonbyul to take her hands off her was a relatively recent MMMTV episode. Yes, I did. Interesting chemistry. Is Solar having second thoughts? She said in her year end video that there was something she "regretted" in 2019. Could that have been breaking up with Moonbyul? She still shows a lot of dissatisfaction/intolerance for Moonbyul's abuse. If Moonbyul would just treat Solar better than a 5 year old bully, maybe she could still salvage their relationship.

I respect your opinion and you make a good case, but I'm not convinced. I watched a video earlier today or yesterday in which Solar told Moonbyul to get her hands off of her clothes, almost as though she was saying, "We're not together any more, you don't have the right to touch me like that." That's not something you would have heard a year ago, and certainly not the same Solar who fixed Moonbyul's pants right on stage in front of everyone. I'm going to leave it at that, this being a MoonSun thread, I don't want to be a downer or thread killer. Mark me down as a firm believer in MoonSun from mid-2016 to mid-2019. And I still low-key ship WheeSa.

Sadly, I think MoonSun died about the same time as OH, the end of May. You could see heartbroken Byul all during June, and Solar essentially avoided her on the stage as much as possible. Since then, they have reconciled but the vibe is completely different now. They are more like BFF's rather than lovers. And watching them on stage, it's clear that while Moonbyul would still like to get back together, Solar's not having it. More evidence: Solar never calls Moonbyul by name in her videos anymore, she refers to her as "colleague #1". We've had no new YKBK with just the two of them since the break up. They haven't gone on a single trip together since January, I think. Solar spends far more time with other people these days, even going on a date with a male fan recently. And other females seem to be hitting on Moonbyul far more than they used to. This time last year, none of those girls on Queendom would have been saying squat to Moonbyul; this year, they seemed to be far more aggressive. She seems to be shooting them all down, though, near as I can tell. I hope she doesn't carry that torch for Solar for too long. YouTube opinion seems to be that WheeByul is on the rise, but I don't get any lovers vibe from them, either. What do you all think? My guess is most of the OH regulars haven't discovered that OH is back yet. Four months is practically an eternity in web time.

Anyone besides me "concerned" about MoonSun? The last few videos I've watched of their most recent interactions showed a very annoyed Solar as much as or more than a happy, lovey-dovey Solar. Moonbyul gave her flowers and her reaction was one of annoyance. "I don't want it," she said. She accepted them, but didn't seem happy about it at all. Long gone is the time when she was embarrassed and flattered to be getting flowers from MB. And Solar said in her solo YT video that Moonbyul came to her house and she asked her why she was there, and MB didn't have a reason. Like, why would your girlfriend need a reason to want to be with you? Why would YOU need a reason for her to be there? I don't want to worry, but I'm worried. Someone pass the word to MB, she needs to crank up the sweet talk and turn down the teasing pronto. -
I was going to post this in the Who Do You Think Is a Lesbian thread, but just in the interest of keeping this thread moving, anyone else notice the second line of "Waggy" goes "Gaygaygaygayjaya"? I mentioned this on one of the "Waggy" videos, but I like this song better than Gogobebe, and this stage performance is just too cute for words.

I shall, thank you for the tip, but my post was meant to be more amusing than anything. -

I'm curious about that exchange you have as your signature pic. Do you know what happened after? I feel like I'm left hanging... so then what happened? -

I think I've been watching too much/many Mamamoo vids. I've been going through other girl groups' older songs on Youtube the last couple of days looking for anything I might like and I've been astounded by all the heterosexuality going on. -
I'm at page 540 in the thread. The commentary and back-and-forth was absolutely hilarious. I've watched the Battle Trip episode featuring MoonSun in Hong Kong a couple of times now. Even people who know nothing about Moonbyul, Solar, or Mamamoo mention in the comments that it looks like they're on a honeymoon trip. One thing in particular gets me, one of the hosts says this: But he was obviously thinking this:

I've been watching some Blackpink videos and I have to say the only one who pings me is Lisa. Jisoo has clearly been reciprocating some of Lisa's affection lately, even saying she's in a relationship with her now, but they still haven't kissed, according to one of the members. And I'm not 100% sure Lisa wouldn't gay panic if Jisoo actually did kiss her on the lips, so I can't even say Lisa is definitely lez. -

Nope. I get the same impression. A lot of people think Hwasa is straight, but I think she's just a love gangster, she could have picked a guy or a girl, and she picked Wheein. Solar, on the other hand, I think was a straight girl lured over to the other side by Moonbyul. And a LOT of straight women have said they would go lez for Moonstar, so it's not too far-fetched to think so. I can't find it now, but Hwasa said she and Wheein made love in a Tokyo hotel earlier this month. Wheein looked surprised and then laughed, but didn't shake her head or say, "Aniyo!" In discussing "Twit", Hwasa said she chased a guy for 2-3 years, but that doesn't mean she doesn't come back to Wheein every time she breaks up with someone. Must be tough on Wheein being the backstop for Hwasa's love life, but now she's got Moonbyul and Solar to play with, that probably makes it a little easier. -

While I agree 100% about Mamamoo and Moonbyul, I really think it's unintentional in their case. Do they keep doing it because the fans love it? Absolutely. Does it matter whether those fans are gay or straight? Not really. Okay, it might matter to Moonbyul, but I doubt it matters to RBW. Just keep those wons rolling in. -

I honestly don't see that. The homosexual community just isn't large enough to devote that much attention to that intently and by so many girl groups. If anything, I see it as "hetero-baity", if that's a thing. Girl on girl is one of the top porn choices of straight males, and believe it or not, the #1 porn choice of straight females. All that skinship isn't aimed at homosexual women at all, it's aimed straight at heterosexual men and heterosexual women. Give the fans something hot to look at as well as listen to and the fans will be that much more invested in the group. And I honestly don't know whether to blame it on Madonna and the rest of the scuzzy white female rock stars making out on stage or on Japanese hentai and its transformation of east Asia into some of the biggest porn consumers in the world. Maybe 50/50. -

Wow! How did they work it out in the group if they didn't fire the abuser? And so the company (?) is okay with them dating each other but not okay with them dating outside the group? -

I don't know if anyone has asked (or asked recently), but do any of you follow SNH48? They take the lesbian shtick to a whole new level in their stage shows, but it isn't at all clear that any of them are anything but straight. Statistically speaking, of course, at least one or two have to be gay, and because it's show biz, it could be way more than that, but I don't think it's possible to judge from the stage performances. (Some of the girls' cringe reactions indicate they are definitely straight, but the others?) -
Anyone else get the impression the last few days that Hwasa is saying to all us MoonSun shippers, "You all better start paying attention to WheeSa right now!"? First there was the quote about making love in the Tokyo Tower, now there's the new video with her wrapped (impliedly naked) in Wheein's arms. It's like she didn't just come out of the closet, she smashed the doors and splintered the frame.
