In her long career, she now meets her greatest challenge, Brave Girls. Nobody thought too much about BG one month ago, but now BG has about 700,000 users in Melon, IU's traditional playground, and already people say although IU will dominate BG because of her name value for the first 2-3 days, BG will overcome her after the 4th or 5th day. This will be the first open field defeat she might meet for a long time. She could have prevented this situation by having a free-release on Mar 11, last Thursday, when BG was about to run past Celebrity. IU owes nothing to Brave Brothers, having never used his songs. Apparently she got overconfident, and did not think BB was a serious threat. But, the K-O-R-E-A-N-S, who had supported her for the last 11 years, are now turning back on her. They had enough of IU and they want something else. And BG and BB will be very happy to step over Iu on their quest to fight the final boss from Big Hit. She might think BG might go away, like Suran who humiliated Palette on May 2017 and has not been heard of since. But because of her complacency, BG has grown very huge to rob her Annual #1 from Melon, and take down everything she has ever built. Where BG will be at next year is not relevant. IU was humiliated on 2017 because she pre released three songs, and IU will be probably humiliated on 2021 because she failed to pre-release anything in order to check BG's rapid rise.

Brave Girls, and even Brave Brother himself, are very determined to destroy IU. It is likely that IU's perf will be pre-recorded and she won't bother to see BG and other lesser known singers She has never met, and mentioned, any members of Laboum since they met for the first and last time -
Very possible. Their support is not weakening Most important would be endorsement deals

Celebrity was IU's attempt to follow BTS' example. Her Lilac appears to be a disco. At least it was not written by IU; ; its music was written by Iggy , who composed a lot of GF's hits, and Iggy's friends.

YG got into a huge mess which basically retarded all of its acts, even BlackPink to some degree Plus IKon's BI had been cut because of his drug use Both EXID and Momoland relied a lot on the ability of Shinsadong Tiger, who has not done anything notable since BboomBBoom. Which is why both EXID and Momoland did not go anywhere. I have my theories about GF but will save it for another day

BB has not released a hit since 2016 or so. Brave Girls' release in 2020 was buried without a noise. The next song will probably be Rollin v 2.0.

She is one of the key figures of KPop (although she had contributed very little to it) and the last remnant of the 2nd generation so if she is toppled a new era in KPop opens Well that is what I have been doing since 2012

A more likely outcome is BG standing at #2-3 and significantly weakening IU's legitimacy After the end of Sistar and the effective end of AoA, Korean men of 30s lacked girl groups they could bop to. ANd, now they are older, they can tolerate BB who are slightly older themselves

The support on rollin by Korean men appear to be quite strong, since they didn't have some song to bop for quite a while - some say it is kind of rediscovering Sistar, who did quite well in the digitals.

Lee Jieun's new album will be released on Mar 25, while Rollin is entrenched at #1 in Melon. Rollin is supported by K-O-R-E-A-N men of 30s-40s and won't be taken down easily. There is a chance that Rollin will beat Lilac in Melon. Brave Girls has nothing to lose while IU has everything to lose. Brave Girls Victory Conditions - Defeat - Rollin charts #11, after IU's celebrity and 9 new songs, one day after the new album is releases. - Nothing to lose Marginal Victory - Rollin ranks #7-10, getting into IU's b-side songs. - BG can boast that it blocked IU's tradition of walling the digital chart Tactical Victory - Rollin ranks #4-6. BG can boast that it is now strong enough to engage IU or anyone Strategic Victory - Rollin ranks #2-3. BG, and Brave Brothers himself, will come out and tell the world that they are the digital queens Decisive Victory - Rollin remains at #1, beating all songs of IU's new release - Brave Brother will show up in all shows available and tell the world that he is better than IU, BG and their fans dance around in Seoul celebrating their victory, and IU... will be sidelined from the power structure of KPop. BG wins the Grand Prize while IU will shun from singing for at least a couple of years

A few days ago I wrote about that IZOne could not put a J. Lee to rest. A lot of Koreans did not like this perf since they found the singing skills a lot to be desired. A lot of steam went to W. Jang, N. Yabuki and H. Honda. Yabuki and Honda were Japanese but their nasal style of singing sounded like they were having a picnic, and W. Jang, who is Korean(although some says her origin is Chinese), sang like Yabuki and Honda, in a Japanese style like an AKB member. J. Lee was the same age as W. Jang when Lee sang this song, and some people (mostly Koreans) praised J. Lee that she could sing this kind of song well and W. Jang would have to practice vocals a lot if she wanted to remain an idol. Yabuki, Honda and Jang are not too old (although technically Yabuki is senior to a Ms. Lee because Yabuki debuted in showbiz on 2002 while Lee did on 2008), but they could have overshadowed Lee in this but that was not to be. Why they, and virtually every idol debuting after 2017 or so, have trouble overcoming the increasingly aging J. Lee, I find it hard to understand.

Still SM jumping like this to protect Yunho seems strange Super Junior was never SM's favorites. I don't know why they don't create their own company, like Shinhwa, now. Perhaps some members, like Heechul, are too tied with SM.

Sooman spent a lot of money debuting aespa but since it did not become an overnight sensation Sooman might have changed his focus, which is unfortunate Sooman will also debut a new male act later this year, which will now make NCT fans angry

SM treating acts differently is a bad tradition since fans of the less favored group tend to hate other SM acts.
