    aside from the reasons stated by bm, i think kpop idols know that it could also be a double edged sword for them. one way they will earn the praise of i-fans but some knetz will use this to harrass them on why they remained silent during nth room, burning sun and other scandals in their own country. just a thought

    this. this is a learning experience to him, to armys and the whole kpop community. we all love our faves but the moment they make a mistake (a mistake that is still redeemable unlike that of seungri's) , it does not make you less of a fan to step back, try to educate your idol and not make unnecessary excuses. but the moment you blindly defend your idol even to the point of losing your morals and threatening others (doxxing etc.), you are no longer a fan but a sheep. i am just saying this in general
