Hmmm...could they be recording something with a western artist? It’s something big I think.

I hope they have a successful tour of North America! I think they should comeback around mid-Mar that will give them time to promote for a bit before heading off on tour. I actually thought mid-February would be better but so many other groups are coming back then it’s pretty crowded.

I thought there was some kind royalty-earning level you had to be on to become a full member - something like 30 million won a year for 3 years in a row. And you have to be a junior member for at least 3 years too. I’m sure I read something like that somewhere or is that for another Korean musical association? So it’s not about seniority or how many songs you have but consistent earnings over time. In Soyeon’s case has she become a junior member of KOMCA yet? She may have but I did a quick google but I couldn’t see anything. Does anyone know of any female idols who are full members? I’m sure IU is but I don’t really consider her an idol.

Agree about the discovery of extraterrestrial life - almost certainly very simple life. That would be amazing for science and astronomy. A visible supernova would be awesome. Large scale availability of genuine driverless cars. And obviously electric cars. People landing on Mars would be fantastic but the way things are going - I just want to see people back on the moon. A cure for cancer and a breakthrough in healthy life extension. Either vat grown meat or a tasty alternative to meat and fish. A breakthrough in battery technology allowing you to store electricity from solar power longer term. Or even fusion technology which produces more power than it consumes.

No Australian dates again I see - so disappointed. I’m going to have to try for LA tickets. Even if they eventually come to Australia the tour lasts till September - and they’ll be exhausted. They’ll need to rest - I don’t see how they can make it to Australia before Jin and possibly Suga have to enlist.

This was such a well-acted movie - such a well deserved award! I really hope it gets Best Director or Best Film at the Oscars.

While your point about the overall digitals is a good one, all of the charts you’re quoting are for the week Jan 6-Jan 12. Txt’s debut single came out on January 15th. Anyway, I think the weekly charts will update tonight or tomorrow.

Just popping in quickly to say I love Black Swan - it has such a lovely melody and is so chill and relaxing! The instrumentals are beautiful, I haven’t had a chance to check out the lyrics yet but I will soon. I’m sure their meaningful and poetic as usual.

Those first week preorders are so impressive! 3.42 million - wow. And yet, I’m not really surprised either.

I’m pleasantly surprised at how well their Japanese debut is going. I think the Japanese Run Away MV is really cute and fun, I don’t know too much about the Japanese music market but it seems to be going really well so far! I think Bighit should give them another Japanese release later in the year and a small tour.
